it didnt work for me what should i do? my IK rig is not similler to the normal charctar rig i got a small girl rig
@@AaVase i am not an expert but i guess you should check your root and spine bones very carefully. My first tries didnt work too but after checking bones it did. I just remember those. Its been a while
@@Aretmosa nvm i fix it today but when i put it in motion matching it doesnt move with the green sequares you know what am i talking about?

Thanks a lot for this. That Translation Mode -> Globally Scaled was what I was missing. Amazing how frustrating this was and, as usual, a really simple fix. Thanks again! 👍👍
amazing video. Such a quick fix. After that video I also used translation absolute for my arm chain because the arms and hands were a little bit off and it helped. Thanks

are we suppose to set root bone as 'Retarget Root' or set pelvis as 'Retarget Root'
I tried setting the transition modes in the spine and root to Globally Scaled. and I got worse with a character that was totally limp and had bad animations. To anyone who has gotten the same, try other settings do not give up. Kedryn the poster of the video is on to something. I tried the other setting of Absolute to the Root bone... and the problem was solved. I am going to add my new retargeted animations to a montage to see if they work as intended. I will reply with my findings.
