When the clone assassin's killed himself, it started to remind me of that Imperial officer killed the same way back in mandalorian season 2 when Mando help bo katan with the cargo, Long Live the Empire
Which means, this secret, elite branch of The Empire (ISB-related, perhaps?) was already being set in motion, within the first year of The Empire's creation.

@@jacktheflash8478 I'm wondering: Is this "unlisted" Clone a result of enhanced brainwashing, and/or a new Assassin Clone, made through Nala Se's (forced) scientific pursuits on Mount Tantiss. I believe that Omega was created to be an elite, covert Military Operative/Spy/Tactician for The Republic (or any other power, for that matter), blessed with a unique reproductive system to create more with her naturally-enhanced physical and mental abilities. Remember: Omega is a genetic dead ringer for Jango Fett's Sister, Arla Fett, and she had a "set of skills", due to her harsh upbringing. Maybe some of it is lying dormant within Omega's mental/physical make-up? This elite branch would very much want an individual like her, to exploit.

It’s mentioned in the episode that ALL of the cities on Kamino were destroyed so there were more cities than just the capital
I definitely thought the assassin was Crosshair for a hot minute, but after seeing the number of shots he was taking and the lack of reflection mirrors it made sense. I wonder if the assassin was a first attempt at Death Troopers
He doesn’t use mirrors in half of his appearances

@@Mourtzouphlos240 Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the season will get into that a little more, since this "true believer" wasn't addressed further after Rex showed the corpse to the Bad Batch.
I'm pretty sure they hit all the cities across Kamino, not just Tipoca City. That was just the only one we saw.
I'm willing to bet that the assassin is a product of the facility they took the head Kaminoan scientist to at the end of season one.

I think it's actually a reference to how some clones were taken off of Kamino as babies to be trained by Palpatine in secret locations to serve as secret assassins to kill off any clones across The GAR (Grand Army of The Republic/Clone Army) who stepped out of line, and threatened Palpatine's plans. This was a thing in Legends. Some of these assassins were sprinkled in in places like The Coruscant Guard, The Red Royal Guard, and other places. He brainwashed some clones to kill their own brothers from birth!

I knew it wasn't Crosshair, 'cause Crosshair wouldn't have missed all those shots.
The assassin kind of reminds me of Slick in "Hidden Enemy," CW Season 1 - his mannerisms towards Rex.
But was Slick confirmed executed after his failed sabatoge attempt in Season 1? Or, did he survive? If he survived, it could be him. But why would he not have been executed? Maybe Chancellor Palpatine personally pardoned him, with this future in mind, perhaps?
As soon as Rampart okayed Chuchi's death, my hatred for him reached full tilt. You don't hurt Jennifer Hale lightly.
But i still like Rampart because he is a competent Officer and absolutely ruthless. The incompetent imperial officer is a trope that gladly was not repeated

This felt the most like a late season Clone Wars style episode, primarily by the sheer fact that the Bad Batch themselves don't even show up in it. Which if you don't include the Crosshairs episode earlier this season, is a first for the series. I almost wonder if that is part of the reason we got a double episode drop this week.
These 2 episodes are soooo good, the emperor appearing gave me chills!
Man, the way the assassin committed suicide the same way the imperial officer did in Mando season 2.
Palpatine's right hand man really does go along with him so well. Palps the goat in his mind games. Jennifer Hale played her so well to perfection.

I mean he hits where he aims. Doesn’t mean people can’t dodge it. But yes this guy missed more than crosshair would.
What if the Assassin trooper in this episode was Slick, the clone who betrayed in the battle of Christophsis campaign of the clone wars. It would make sense why the trooper knew Rex. From the hint of “Brother” and “Believer” response kinda resembles what Slick did for what he believed in when he was arrested, and confessed. 20:40
The Clone conspiracy is one of the best episodes of the series so far!! So many story arch’s to the clone wars in this episode! Love the dark empire storyline! Seeing Rex and Chuchi was epic! Chuchi reminds me a lot of Padme, her closest friend!
If only she used body doubles.

If Omega is Force-Sensitive…I believe the Force selected her for a reason we’re not privy to yet.

I think I have and idea on that Clone who was such a "Believer" in The Empire. As far as I know, in The Old EU (Though it may be true in Disney Canon, as well), Palpatine took some clones from Kamino, trained them personally to be his loyal foot soldiers, assassins, etc., and they became The Coruscant Guard, but also some of Palpatine's Red Royal Guards (Those guys that Yoda KO'd in Revenge of The Sith before he fought The Emperor in a lighsaber duel in The Senate Chamber), as well as (And this is key) assassinate other clones who ever threatened Palpatine's plans. That might be what is going on here. A clone made on Kamino, but was not raised amongst his brothers, but rather shipped off to Coruscant (Or some secret locations) to be trained to hunt his own brothers, rather than fight with them; in order to keep them in line. How (Fittingly) Insidious! 😈😈
wonder if chuchi meets ahsoka again. considering in rebels ahsoka knows where rex is but prior timeline wise last time they met was assuming the end of clone wars show. if chuchi helped alot of clones including rex then assumingly ahsoka and her meet each other, of course after the jedi tales story when bail convince her to come back and help others.

Like who really was that clone assassin? He’s obviously not a regular trooper or from the standard army, perhaps he’s a Commando like the Delta Squad?
fun fact: Mas Amedda’s official title is Chair of the Senate so he’s the Galactic Senate’s equivalent of the Speaker of the House (in the US). That’s why he’s always calling order, but he’s still one of Palatine’s minions
That title still carries over to the Empire?
@@acgearsandarms1343 The Senate itself was carried over from The Republic until A New Hope. Palpatine wasn't going to immediately disband The Senate after Order 66, and thus, remove that key position. That would've been far too suspicious for everyone in the galaxy to see. He had to keep it for time to keep the galaxy that was used to democracy happy, until his Death Star was finished being built, so that the whims of the people of the galaxy would be irrelevant to him, and his now planet-destroying, galaxy-threatening power. It was all a game of Psychological Warfare (Tarkin Doctrine) on the galaxy.
Of course, we know that it all failed for him, but at the time, it seemed to have worked well for him. So yes, he kept The Senate, as well as its Chairman position, but obviously he kept The Senate under his control. It was a mere puppet institution by that point, one which he disbands when it no longer served its purpose to him.
@@acgearsandarms1343 By the way, Mas Amedda (The Chair of The Senate) knew that Palpatine was a Sith Lord. But he didn't dare tell anyone about it, because he'd be super dead. He was yet another pawn/puppet to The Emperor, just like almost everyone else in The Imperial Senate.

i find it kinda funny how so many people thought that sniper was crosshair. im like "you mean to tell me, the genetically enhanced sniper we've seen that did some of the best trickshots we've ever seen in star wars history and never missed a shot ever...would just whiff all those shots and miss that guy in the beginning like that?" 🤣
I strongly don't think Omega is Force Sensitive, nor do I want her to be, but it has nothing to do with my feelings about the sequels or my opinions about whether it's possible. I like the sequels fine, and a good writer can make a good story out of anything.
Omega's a special clone She's an unaltered clone, allowed to grow and develop normally. Physically, she's not really any different from just being an ordinary child. So I think it's perfectly plausible she could be Force sensitive.
But not every Star Wars show has to have a force sensitive main character! Let Omega just be gifted and precious!

They could easily go the route of saying that a clone mutation might be like a divine intervention, in this case the force, and Omega might have more sensitive as for the bad batch.
The Force Sensitive Shadowtroopers used the valley of the Jedi to gain Force Sensitivity, they were practically dropped in a stream of The Force.

I think the science fiction science here is the Kaminoans made a perfect copy of Jango's XY chromosomes, then spliced and added their successful or promising modifications making Omega's XX chromosomes. If they were working on a force clone some of that may be in her. Also I think Unit 99 survived where other experimental clones did not because the Bad Batch was cloned from Omega, and not the original sample from Jango, which had become degraded.

No story works if it rely too much on make believe. That would kill any suspense. And good sci-fi usually borrow heavily from real science.

3:00 No, neither Omega or any of the Clones are Madalorians. I don't think even Jango Fett lived as a Mandalorian, Boba doesn't. They just had the armor. The Clones were certainly never trained by Mandalorians. Jango canonically called them "canon fodder" and none of the instructors that oversaw Domino Squad were Mandalorians.
If you look at TCW Mandalorians and Clones have almost no contact with each other for the entire run of the series. In Voyage of Temptation, they were practically Segregated. This implies that the existence and use of the Clones offended Mandalorians to a degree.
Boba said Jango was a Mandalorian Foundling in The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6. He even fought in the Mandalorian Civil Wars.
I prefer the EU when they had mandalorians known as the Cuy’val Dar come in to train the clones. And encouraged them to adopt mandalorian culture
