Love Val's store but haven't been there in decades - used to go through what he called the "psych shit" when he thought it was worthless! He knows who I am!
we had a guy in thornton colo who was just like val. salt of the earth , his name was poppa don. his store was dons discs. he was moving his shop when i was just another customer. well i offered to help him and we were friends till he passed away. anyway the first day of the move we shuffled 40 thousand albums and around 20 thousand 45s. that was a bunch. he was shocked when i showed up the next day. it was something i would never change for the world and do it again. i love you don rip and i love vinyl . i will be contacting you val, to get some big holes that im sure you will have the ones i seek. good by for now and good day . from a texas panhandle man called the captain.
That is unbelievable!! I have never seen so many records in one place. I hope he never has to change the location of the store. It would take forever to move all those records out of the store!!!
Val is a great storyteller with a fantastic, quick-witted sense of humor.
