DJI MAVIC 2 PRO - Nuuk, Greenland by drone

Nuuk, Greenland's capital, is a small city on the country's southwest coast. Its large fjord system is known for waterfalls, humpback whales and icebergs. The waterfront is dotted with brightly colored houses against the backdrop of Sermitsiaq mountain. The major cities closest to Nuuk are Iqaluit and St. John's in Canada and Reykjavík in Iceland. Nuuk contains almost a third of Greenland's population and its tallest building. Nuuk is also the seat of government for the Sermersooq municipality. In January 2019, it had a population of 17,984.

Una ciudad que siempre me intrigó. Estoy a miles de kilómetros de distancia por lo que solo la puedo ver en videos . Encuentro una ciudad muy extendida que aparenta ser mas grande comparada con el número de habitantes, una arquitectura con algo de similitud a la escandinava, una ciudad en constante crecimiento, escala de cruceros, con un importante auge de la construcción, un parque automotor elevado. Me llamó la atención el nuevo estadio de fútbol adaptado a las condiciones climáticas de la zona, la extensa zona portuaria. Seguramente debe tener cosas buenas y otras no tanto como todas las ciudades, me gustaría que algún habitante de la ciudad cuente como es la misma desde su vivencia personal, como es la vida en ese lugar. Gracias y saludos desde Argentina.

To my mind it looks more like a small industrial city (or at the least, a big industrial town) even if it does only have a population of 17,000 or so. Busy docks too.

A very good video, the clarity was “spot on”, I take it that you had to get permission from ATC at Nuuk airport to fly within a designated area/time ?. ( what’s the radio range for control of your Drone?).

But I have to tell you that this is against the rules of flying drones in Greenland.
You are flying the drone too high. And all over the place. And as I assume of you age. You don't have a license to fly? You just fly the drone.
So, if you have a big interest in Aviation. Be cautious about this. So you should follow the rules. And do this responsibly.

This is illegal drone flying 👎🏼 Flying over people, government builings, police station etc. And not least flying too close to the airport & flying way too high.
It was not illegal. I followed proper Greenlandic guidelines
