Happy holiday from Romania 🇷🇴. Much appreciated video. Best wishes for your family in the future this year. From Kansas Missouri border fort Scott. Much love 🎉
DUDE RYAN, YOU AND TURBOS ARE LEGENDARY, KINDA LIKE BIG CHIEF AND TURBOS. They may be harder to tune and being less controllable for goal results with quieter operation, but turbos have MANY benefits that a procharger is unable to do. This is why in WWII the U.S. combined dual benefits from both systems of boost to fight the Germans in their aircraft. Supercharger for the initial push then the turbocharger kicks in for the high altitudes, and with more additional boost options for dogfighting purposes. It's not what is better, it's what is better for the operation or race conditions. Just my observation and opinion. Ryan, YOU are legendary on turbo tuning for victory. You are one of the best, in my opinion. Keep up the good work 👍. Have a Happy New Year 🎉 🎂 🎉. I wish Meg and the family the best in life. An awesome racing family with a cool Dad at the helm. Great video 📸. Have a good day today 😎 🌞.Thanks.
Ryan pro charger is awesome. U have smoked big name people. You do what u think is possible. I would die to work with u and learn from you . U are my inspiration. Thank you
And.... that would make the turbos turn faster and that makes more boost? What would be wrong with that? Do like a 100 shot get them turbos turning and that would make a difference on the big end.
@@davidlane9525they can only spin so many rpm and he has no problem getting to that rpm. The “100” shot could be accomplished by raising launch boost a pound or two or raise launch rpm. Plus a lot of races don’t allow dual power adder
Oh boy, cannot wait to see how testing goes. I'm sure it's gonna be fast! I've thought about starting to try to leave with lots of boost, and ramp it really fast.... then hopefully just retarding a ton of timing doesn't mess with the boost. In theory, should behave more like a blower car.
The problem with the turbos is that pulling timing can speed up the turbos and increase boost throwing everything off. You also have the delay that Ryan talked about. Have you considered E gates on the cold side? This way you keep the turbos spinning and just bleed off the excess boost. Steve Morris’ did some good videos on how he uses both E gates on the cold side and conventional wastegates. His wagon picked up dramatically and was a lot more controllable.
@@danmyers9372 Not a fan of the gates on the intake pipe, but it seems to be working. Right now Ieave on 6psi and ramp to 32 at 2.5-3 seconds with hardly any launch retard. If I leave at 15-20psi and a 1 second ramp or maybe even a .5 second ramp the boost is already there, so the retarded timing should not make it spool faster (in theory). Blower cars, not supercharged cars leave with a crap ton of boost.

This is why you're one of the best players in the game, you put in the work. You're always trying something, you're never stagnant with what you have. I like the blowers better. Turbos make lots of power but they’re much less inconsistent. If you have to pedal a turbo car it takes time to start making all the power again. Can you explain what you mean by starting line ratio? Compared to say, I'm assuming gear ratio in the rear end and as to down track... If I'm making any sense!
Try a screw combo. You've dominated with every other combo. LS - single turbo, LS -Twin, Big Block Single, Big Block Twins, Now Big Block Procharger (2 diff sizes for diff surfaces), you've done it on radials and slicks of small to Bigg on both.... no reason to think you won't do the same with whatever you try next...
Are you leaving the procharger cam in it? Not sure if you mentioned if you turbo cam swapped it. IMO (I'm not a racer or true gear head) I would think that the procharger = more wins just due to it's simplicity.
I believe that blower cars have a lot of advantages. Tunability for each track surfaces in may eyes is the biggest advantage, a lot of people would probably disagree with that statement. But honestly you can build boost instantly on the line also blower cars sound freaking amazing and they’re loud. Another advantage is if you have to pedal the car, say half track, the car instantly comes back power wise where you left off there’s no delay or having to wait on the progressive controller to re-ramp the nitrous system or the having to wait for the turbo’s or turbo to re-ramp the boost per the boost table. I mean a lot of people love other combos but to each is own. Build what makes you happy and what you think will make your car competitive. If your trying to drag race to become rich your dead wrong. You might make some damn good money racing but history typically repeats its self when it comes to this hobby/sport. Because a lot of racers take their winnings and reinvest it into their car to make it faster and better. Love the channel and what you do keep up the hard work.
Sorry to drag it out further, but if you an pull the g’s that hard on the launch, with turbo, and then pull the g’s down track with the blower, an you tune the chassis to do both?? I’m not sure that’s possible, you’re tuning rear gear, transmission gears and weight transfer (not to mention static weight distribution and tire pressure)!!!!!
I think it will be faster with the turbos especially if you put a set of bigger turbos like two 98mm you will be flying and your scramble button will beat King Kong! In fact it might get to be to fast! The question is can you control it and get it to do what you want when you want it!
I always wondered why the turbo guys didn't spray them so they 60-foot it harder I seen a couple mustang guys doing once or twice cars picked up into 60 ft one guy come from prochargers and he said that's the only way he get his car to run on turbos 😁 and you know who to call for that
Id like see someone on the street or no prep try to control the boost like a prochared car by just controlling it all on the cold side just asking questions cause I'm curious if anyone has tried it
Not really comparable as he is running on a fully prepped surface on a big tire. That allows him to get after it harder early and keep the turbos spinning which is almost impossible to do on small tires and a NP surface. Micke is also using cold side E gates which also keeps the turbine spinning. I do agree that nothing makes the outright power of a TT Hemi. It’s just the tuning aspect of the turbos that’s so much more challenging.
SRC is a You Tube Celebrity team like the Cleety Clown channel. They do not have to be serious about racing because they make money selling merch. Ryan and his competition do not have that luxury and have to take racing seriously.
23;25 in Ryan and I remember you having the very same conversation when you decided to switch to prochager because others with the prochager were having better 60FT and 330ft and most times you would be catching by 330 and end up driving around but the further into the racing the prochager just seemed to have better 60FT and 330ft and as you said if you aren't near there rear-end then you can't catch them...I REMEMBER YOU EVEN WITHOUT ALL PROCHAGER PARTS YOU EITHER TESTED OR ENTERED A RACE AND WON STRAIGHT AWAY WITH THE SETUP AND I ALSO REMEMBER ASKING THE BIG MONEY NPK GUYS WHICH GEAR'S TO BURNOUT AND EVEN LEAVING..MURDER NOVA ACTUALLY TOLD YOU WHAT HE'S DOING REGARDING HIS BURNOUT AND WHAT GEAR AND DEPENDING UPON THE BLOWER SETUP GEAR WISE HE WAS STAGING AND LEAVING EITHER TREE LIGHTS OR TORCH 🔦.... HAVING THE NPK DRIVERS THERE PROMOTES THE RACE BUT I THINK IF THEY ONLY RACING FOR THE BIGGER PAYOUT, NAH ,3 - 5 RACES ON SMALL TIRE RACES HELD THROUGHOUT THE SEASON AND YOUR GOOD... Are you leaving the procharger cam in it? Not sure if you mentioned if you turbo cam swapped it. IMO (I'm not a racer or true gear head) I would think that the procharger = more wins just due to it's simplicity.
Finished watching. Yes you did swap the cam
Let's Gooooooo!
❤💕🏁💪🏼you will make it work you allways do bud ok later
Honestly have always wondered why nobody runs procharger AND a big turbo or two
I think it will be faster with the turbos especially if you put a set of bigger turbos like two 98mm you will be flying and your scramble button will beat King Kong! In fact it might get to be to fast! The question is can you control it and get it to do what you want when you want it!
I always wondered why the turbo guys didn't spray them so they 60-foot it harder I seen a couple mustang guys doing once or twice cars picked up into 60 ft one guy come from prochargers and he said that's the only way he get his car to run on turbos 😁 and you know who to call for that
TURBOS AND NITROUS, fast spool?
Id like see someone on the street or no prep try to control the boost like a prochared car by just controlling it all on the cold side just asking questions cause I'm curious if anyone has tried it
I keep feeling like this is a bad April fools joke.. but I know it doesn't matter your gonna be fast no matter what you go with....
Run both combos never been done yet🤷
Sooo after hearing this from you sounds like you need to keep the procharger.
twin turbos rule ask Mark Mckee
Micke
Not really comparable as he is running on a fully prepped surface on a big tire. That allows him to get after it harder early and keep the turbos spinning which is almost impossible to do on small tires and a NP surface. Micke is also using cold side E gates which also keeps the turbine spinning. I do agree that nothing makes the outright power of a TT Hemi. It’s just the tuning aspect of the turbos that’s so much more challenging.
You will never get anywhere if you dont try to go somewhere.
Named 10 turbo teams, and didnt mention the SRC guys... ouch
I think he just named the ones he races the most tbh he don't race them much im a src fan self cant wait for the camero
I love SRC but they aren’t in the same league as Ryan or the cars Ryan mentioned. Maybe when Billy gets the new Camaro out…
SRC is a You Tube Celebrity team like the Cleety Clown channel.
I AM LIKING THE NPK GUYS TRYING SMALL TIRE AND I THINK THAT THERE'S GOING TO BE SOME SORT OF CHANGE IN RULES FOR THE SMALL TIRE 28S WERE MAYBE THE RACERS THROUGHOUT THE SEASON WENT AND COMPETED IN 3 - 5 SMALL TIRE RACES AND NOT POP IN FOR THE BIGGER POTS WHICH IS NOTHING TO NPK GUYS BUT THE GUYS I SEE REGULARLY, AT MOST EVENTS THAT 20 GRAND PAYOUT FOR A WIN IS PROBABLY WHAT ALLOWS THEM UPGRADE OR PLAN FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF RACES ,THERE'S A MUSTANG WITH PURPLE FRONT LIGHTS, TURBO AND IT'S FAST AF FOR A LONG MINUTE NOW ....
HAVING THE NPK DRIVERS THERE PROMOTES THE RACE BUT I THINK IF THEY ONLY RACING FOR THE BIGGER PAYOUT, NAH ,3 - 5 RACES ON SMALL TIRE RACES HELD THROUGHOUT THE SEASON AND YOUR GOOD...
I'D LOVE TO KNOW PEOPLE'S THOUGHTS ON THE BIG MONEY NPK RACERS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, 3 -5 RACES DONE THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SEASON...
SORRY FOR THE NOVEL RYAN AND MEGHAN...I LOVE THESE TECH TALKS!! RYAN THINKING OUTLOUD...
