I’ve used it for years trimming houses and it’s been flawless. No issues , no broken parts…. The pins can be easy to misplace but 5mm shelf pins work as well. He’s made a few updates since Richards version.
Nice mention of the miter clamps, I bought 2 the other week. I dont know if many DIYers buy these but they feel legit high quality. Love the recommendations and tips!
You are the man Richard. I always love this content and seeing the gyms you find. Only the Lord knows how many tools I’ve bought because of your videos
Nice fence! If I wasn’t retired and still in the business I’d be getting one! As for those plastic tabs, get yourself some dowel rod the same diameter as the hole and cut up a bunch and throw them in a container. You’ll always have enough on hand.
cant wait to see the next video on how those new crown stops work for you... i wonder why you couldn't put something permanent (like a nut and bolt) into the slides (instead of the plastic pieces)... because slides remove (and tighten) very easily (from the looks of it). ... you definitely have my interest on this one, my crown stops are always in the way, thats pretty much why I use two chops box on most of my jobs.
The holes are 5mm holes so any shelf pin fits the holes. The reason you wouldn’t want something permanent is having the ability to remove it quickly to cut other stuff is a nice benefit
Trim carpentry for me is like golf. Some days I measure well and cut well. Other days I'm back to the saw three times for One piece. Thanks to channels like this and others, my work has improved. But my standards for my work are high enough that I rarely achieve my own standards. LOL Thanks Richard.
Man that's a beautiful set up, I love my tools and care about how they operate but I love how they look and anyone who takes pride in their work also take pride in their tools.
Great addition. I can see how losing those plastic stoppers could be very easy, especially during transport to and from job sites. Just have some dowels or something similar, handy.
Super looking fence. Drill a small hole in that plastic stop. Tie some braided fishline to it and attach other end on back of fence. Then you can just flip it over the fence and NOT lose it.
Looks like it will work great. Just wondering why he would not set the holes where it will give you the zero clearance. Or at least have a elongated hole so you don't have to drill your own holes.
Great jig! In the 20 plus years that I've installed crown, the lack of fence height requirements for handling tall crown was always an issue. The ability to preset your cutting angle will save a lot of time.
Pretty cool fence set up, though the, "John's doing casing and I'm doing crown" is as simple a fix as setting up another miter saw station (yeah, you'll need another miter saw). You'll be amazed at how much time you save by not having to reset the saw for your task or having to wait on John making a cut. Casing doesn't need the CutHub stuff, just an accurate saw and a stable platform (stand). Really kinda of surprised you haven't gotten two stations going on the larger projects.
Very nice mitre set up l like it 👍 yes I think you better order some more of them plastic bits maybe a bag full 😂 can’t wait to see what else you show us l will click on the link but as I live in the uk 🇬🇧 l bet l can’t get my hands on it l have Milwaukee fms 254 wonder if it would fit my saw stay safe 👍👏👏
What's up Richard. Thanks for sharing man. Vince from VCG CONSTRUCTION would really appreciate this beautiful tool too. Nice to see you on the livestream today. Love the Dewalt set up, have you got a vid on how you set it up. Anyway I thought I'd drop by & say hey from New Zealand. ✌🏾😃🤙🏾
Tools designed by woodworkers tend to be designed with pride and common sense. I bet it save you a lot of time and will pay for itself many times over. Smart buy.
As usual I’m super jelly! That looks amazing simply for the fact that the crown stops don’t interrupt other cuts....genius! Please drop that link so I can beg for one of these!
I haven’t cut crown nested on the fence in years. I have an old, but nice body laugh lol, kobalt slider and a new 12” Milwaukee slider and they both cut crown with it flat on the saw not up on the fence
That LOOKS AMAZING and awesome; NOT even mine and “I’M SO EXCITED FOR YOU AND TO SEE IT”😂. Like that it’s made from metal and looks like can take some beatings (not that, that will happen). Definitely gonna checkout Tom’s channel & thx for linking it👍🏻 Also, I prefer Armor-Tools clamps and I even like their auto jig (& do hope they take our suggestions and tweak it to make it even better). But there clamps are pretty great, imo, so cool that Tom’s using their clamps etc... Well enjoy the new toy, and know will help you out. ✌🏻
Would these impede fence travel for making bevel cuts? I'm thinking they wouldn't because they're attached to the stock fence and would slide with them.
Those look super nice! My DWS780 had a fence that was concave, probably 170⁰-175⁰. Enough to not let me get good, accurate miters. I ended up cutting the fence in half and shimming one side coplanar with the other. I'm sure yours is all good or you'd have noticed
I usually watch my UA-cam uploads for the day, while my wife is sitting next to me watching random Facebook and duck dynasty videos on her phone. I look over at about the 2:00 mark, and she hooked. She hasn’t touch a saw in her life. You’re killin it.
If the little plastic stops were made of metal, then it would cost more to replace them when they (will) get lost. Plastic seems to be a smart move on the part of the manufacturer, so thumbs up for them. 👍
I cut my crown on the flat on my Bosch slide saw at 33 and 31 degrees, very accurate, and I can cut up to 10" crown which is really nice.Tell John to get his own saw ;))
Looks like a good solution for what you'll be using it for, I'd like to see an update after you've used it a few times! Thanks!
I’ve used it for years trimming houses and it’s been flawless. No issues , no broken parts…. The pins can be easy to misplace but 5mm shelf pins work as well.
He’s made a few updates since Richards version.
You know it’s golden with that “Whistle of approval.” This tool accessory, was awarded two!
You win the award for the world’s most efficient/convenient miter set up!!! Can’t wait to see what you add next
Love this channel. The grin on your face as you were taking a look at everything was so genuine. Made me laugh because I know that feeling.
Man your love for tools is contagious brother. You’re the best; God bless you
Made by a fellow trim carpenter, I'd say its got a good chance of performing like think it will. Guy had need/problem, went to work and solved it.
The whistle of approval!!!
Nice fence! If I wasn’t retired and still in the business I’d be getting one! As for those plastic tabs, get yourself some dowel rod the same diameter as the hole and cut up a bunch and throw them in a container. You’ll always have enough on hand.
Very useable and a nice add on and easy and quick to install. If you don’t want it on there all the time.
cant wait to see the next video on how those new crown stops work for you... i wonder why you couldn't put something permanent (like a nut and bolt) into the slides (instead of the plastic pieces)... because slides remove (and tighten) very easily (from the looks of it). ... you definitely have my interest on this one, my crown stops are always in the way, thats pretty much why I use two chops box on most of my jobs.

Killing it with the videos lately!
Lighter version made with marine grade plastic. To be able to use all the features best installed on a miter saw with factory sliding fences
Man that's a beautiful set up, I love my tools and care about how they operate but I love how they look and anyone who takes pride in their work also take pride in their tools.
Where's the link for this? I could def use this at work.
Looks like another way for me to spend money. My 2 favorite things to do are spend money and buy tools.
Can you spend some money on tools for me Papi ?!?!?
Sometimes people use tools to do things but I use tools to spend money
R u one of those ppl who own the same tool but only on 3 separate lines?
Seems like those two things go well together.
Good thing those go hand in hand
Great addition. I can see how losing those plastic stoppers could be very easy, especially during transport to and from job sites. Just have some dowels or something similar, handy.
They are easy to lose…. I ended up gluing a small plastic case to the back of the fence to place them in.
Congrats on the 400k! Fence looks clean!
Look like a awesome addition to any miter saw !
Frigging awesome dude, I could use that fence myself. Thanks for sharing.
Never thought of trim carpentry as a near superpower until this skilled guy. Total earner with unlimited work prospects in DFW.
Viva la Mexico my man Richardo!
Those plastic things are invisible shelf pins (meant to slide into a saw kerf) and are available from lots of suppliers.
Another great video!
Thanks Richard 😀
Yellow and red...is that a DeWaukee fence? 😏 Very nice.
Spot on, for that observation! I love it.
Super looking fence.
Drill a small hole in that plastic stop. Tie some braided fishline to it and attach other end on back of fence. Then you can just flip it over the fence and NOT lose it.
Looking forward to those many “update” vids and to see this on your first jobsite when using it😉
Looks like it will work great. Just wondering why he would not set the holes where it will give you the zero clearance. Or at least have a elongated hole so you don't have to drill your own holes.
Awesome tool your channel rocks keep them coming
Love your work, man. Just installed my first beam setup in my living room. Can’t wait to trim it out with crown.
" nothing wrong with having a beautiful tool" yep, I been saying that my whole life.
Great jig! In the 20 plus years that I've installed crown, the lack of fence height requirements for handling tall crown was always an issue. The ability to preset your cutting angle will save a lot of time.
Congratulations on your new toy!!! Love the videos man
It matches so goot to the yella of the day and red of the cut hub. Very cool.
Nice stuff! How does your saw perform when you bevel at 45 degrees? That high fence seems like it would get in the way of the drive system?
nice set up man likes your videos u awesome carpentry!!
Wow! Looks like a DeWaulkie!
Well done man.
That looks sweet! I wish one of these companies would just make an entire fence for the saw.
Pretty cool fence set up, though the, "John's doing casing and I'm doing crown" is as simple a fix as setting up another miter saw station (yeah, you'll need another miter saw). Thanks for the bitch session
Game changer
For 400$ I'm sure there will be plenty in stock, lol just checked they got em!!! Great video brother
How do I get to the page? Not seeing the link in the description
Dang! That’s what I paid for my DeWalt 12” sliding miter saw a couple of years ago. Yes, it was on sale.
I google it
pretty cool. Can't wait to see it in action.
You should redesign your DewAukee shirts to say “MILDEW” 😄
Really enjoy video ...
I have a question which tip do you use on your graco x19 for interior paint ?
I just ordered mine!
Did you switch back to dewalt miter from m18? I have a 12” m18 constantly calibrating it and just doesn’t seem as accurate as a dewalt
Clever solution to a genuine problem. Having to reset the jig is a hassle. I can see manufacturers integrating this into the machines soon.
Also plastic is good for those little spacers so it doesn’t dent your trim.
The day you get excited about a fence LMAO 😁
Just get another saw lol!!!!! Great video!!!!
How can I get this stop fence ?
Please keep on with youtube but tiktok needs you!!
Great review, thanks Richard
Very nice mitre set up l like it 👍 yes I think you better order some more of them plastic bits maybe a bag full 😂 can’t wait to see what else you show us l will click on the link but as I live in the uk 🇬🇧 l bet l can’t get my hands on it l have Milwaukee fms 254 wonder if it would fit my saw stay safe 👍👏👏
It looks like a well made tool. Hopefully it works as good as it looks.
Pretty badass enjoy it
Look forward to see it in action.
This is absolutely a great addition to a miter saw , how does it retrofit a festool I’m wondering thanks for your time
Nothing wrong with a beautiful tool 😉

I second that LOL
Can't wait to you use it 🤩🍻🍺😊
As a finish carpenter that does a lot of crown; you'll get great usage out of that fence...Hope it helps make money for ya...
We all nit pick with probably every tool we buy, but the ideas are good with this add on. Will be interesting to see how you use it.
If you lose the little plastic stops, simply replace them with wooden dowels of the same diameter.
I haven’t cut crown nested on the fence in years. I have an old, but nice body laugh lol, kobalt slider and a new 12” Milwaukee slider and they both cut crown with it flat on the saw not up on the fence
I would definitely be down for the upgrade 🔥
Hey Rich how do you like using the Kizen compared to your other jigs. Thanks
Thank you great show
It would be a good idea for the creator of this fence to use metal clips then add a magnet somewhere to keep track of them.
Fence is Al- not magnetic
@@rc9831 no, I get that I’m saying make the clips out of a metal material that would be magnetic.
@@Dougie19Fresh You idea is a great one. Sure to be misplaced a number ot times.
Do those holes fit shelf pins? You might be able to get replacements at any big box store.
The plastic stops for the crown if the holes is 5mm or 1/4 you could use a metal cabinet shelf pin. It looks a lot like a blind shelf pin.
5mm
That LOOKS AMAZING and awesome; NOT even mine and “I’M SO EXCITED FOR YOU AND TO SEE IT”😂. Like that it’s made from metal and looks like can take some beatings (not that, that will happen).

✌🏻
Why the compound saw when you always nest? Very thorough and high quality looking attachment..
Dude. Please keep the dewalkee merch! I'm low on funds rn but when I get some cash I want to get those!
Love your work man
OK Richard I have a question, do you know how to cut crown laying down on the table?
Would these impede fence travel for making bevel cuts? I'm thinking they wouldn't because they're attached to the stock fence and would slide with them.
Those look super nice! My DWS780 had a fence that was concave, probably 170⁰-175⁰. Enough to not let me get good, accurate miters. I ended up cutting the fence in half and shimming one side coplanar with the other. I'm sure yours is all good or you'd have noticed
I have the same problem with my Flexvolt and have no idea how to fix it. any advice?
I usually watch my UA-cam uploads for the day, while my wife is sitting next to me watching random Facebook and duck dynasty videos on her phone. I look over at about the 2:00 mark, and she hooked. She hasn’t touch a saw in her life. You’re killin it.
I’m finding the extended angle fence is loose in the track, have you used it yet? Do you clamp it to the fence?
If the little plastic stops were made of metal, then it would cost more to replace them when they (will) get lost. Plastic seems to be a smart move on the part of the manufacturer, so thumbs up for them. 👍
I wonder if those slider rods would fit on DeWalt’s older line-powered slider ? I haven’t been able to find replacements.
You should do a review on the Botond Crown Stoppers, I would like to see a Video on that, thanks...
I was saving money while you weren't posting videos and now I'm broke.
Edit: Not really but I would love to have your setup.
looks sweet
Wow like your videos amazing with the things you get
I cut my crown on the flat on my Bosch slide saw at 33 and 31 degrees, very accurate, and I can cut up to 10" crown which is really nice.Tell John to get his own saw ;))
Yeah, they have two trucks and who knows how many saws. I'm calling b.s. LOL
Love ur work. Did u make the back fence for ur chop saw or did u buy it is so where can I get one they need to come out with universal ones .
Do you know if this will fit the Milwaukee 12” mitre saw??
“Ain’t nothin wrong with having a beautiful tool”
came right off the tongue 😂
"That's what she said!"
Drill the holes on the T slot out to be the same size as the pegs for cabinet shelves.
Wheres the link for this fence? I want one!
He posts and is in the air...doesn’t read our comments
It’s in the comment section, first comment
Thats actually really cool tool. I love your videos man. It would be cool to work with you and be one of "the guys" :D
WHERE IS THE LINK FOR THE FENCES..
NEW - V3 - KIZEN Miter Fence Pro Plus System
Looks well made. Does it fit Milwaukee saws?
