When I served in the Marine Corps, we had this happen almost exactly as well. Our Battalion SgtMaj and in league with our Battalion Commander basically told the Battalion Aid Station Commander that she was no longer to issue any more light duty chits to any Marines for any reason. For the Marines its slightly different in terms of how we get medical care since we dont have our own medics and rely on Navy Corpsman. Now while the Navy Aid Station Commander for the Battalion is a Navy officer, she still reported to our Battalion Commander. For months, no one in the Battalion was being issued Light Duty for injuries and told "heres some Motrin, go back to your unit". This was apparently being done by the SgtMaj and LtCol to boost the Battalion readiness numbers for Ops and Deployments. About 6 months into this idiocy, we had a Marine drop dead from a heart attack on a run. Kid was in his early 20s so a heart attack isnt something you'd expect from someone that age. Turns out, he had been going to the Aid Station for weeks prior complaining about chest pains and unusual pains when he was on runs. Now this guy was not a sh**bag Marine at all, very fit, good PFT scores, etc. But because of the "unofficial" policy enacted by these 2 jackasses at the top, every time he visited they would just give him pain killers, rubber stamp things and send him on his way. Once this kid dropped dead on a run, an NCIS investigation got launched and then like rats deserting a sinking ship, finally everyone in the know started dropping dimes the size of manhole covers on what was going on and finally the SgtMaj, BN CO, XO, Aid Station Commander and a slew of other senior enlisted and senior officers got relieved of duty and or re-assigned. This was of course back before the Internet was a big thing and before UA-cam, Twitter, IG, etc even existed. What bothers me the most and what I hate to say tainted my view on the Marine Corps was how long it took for something to be done about this kind of crap. I wasnt a career enlisted person, I did 8yrs (6 mandated by my MOS) and bailed for agency work afterward but like you, because of this incident when I was just a PFC/LCpl, I made it my mission to always stand up for Marines being f**cked over or railroaded which relegated me to permanent SSgt (E6). It was by accident I even pinned on E6 because if the command had their way I would have been stuck at E5. So I just want to say a heartfelt Thank You to you for bringing this kind of crap to light and trying to look out for other Soldiers. Its a sacrifice not everyone is aware of you are making and I can tell you that people appreciate it. You're more than the rank you wear on your collar my good man. Love the videos and wish I found this channel a lot sooner than I did, haha. Thanks again.
It's sad that it took someone passing on for progress to be made in regards to stamping out these weak links in the command structure! Rest in Peace, for that poor young man. You're in a better place, may God above treat you the best.
Angry Cops, you’re committed like the kind of people we read about. The fact that the Army won’t promote you is a testament to how political they are, but you sir, are the kind of soldier who is the reason it’s still a great service. Integrity is everything. Semper Fi.
@Cobra We need common sense. UCP should not have been the chosen pattern unless it was to be dyed coyote brown or applie green. Just look up youtube videos of civilians actually making it effective by using dye. Then the nonsense of allowing alcohol and cigarettes but not allowing cannabis. Learn about history of cannabis with its military medical and recreational use. John Pershing expidition, WW1 indica tablets.
@Cobra It's been that way since .. forever, probably. WW2 has a shit ton of cases of the military being very much "political", and on all sides. Patton and Rommel come to mind without even having to think
Couldnt argue with that. My main issue is that when I was in my chain of command would constantly steal my people to go do some dumb bullshit. Then they come at me asking why I wasnt able to do the mission. Now granted it's not nearly as bad as this but when the dfac isnt ready to get lunch on the line at a specific time you beat believe that they will burn you at the stake making it seem like you laced everything with arsenic Then the had the balls to see if I was going to reenlist...
This is why re-enlistment is at an all-time low: All the potentially good NCOs get fed up with the command structure and the bullshit they’ve been spoon-fed for years and having to sit back and deal with it because “military life is different to civilian”, but realize that yeah; damn right it’s different, in all the wrong ways. My best to the guys in 2/30
Some people recently, don't remember who, did a poll of Sgts. getting out. #1 reason for getting out? Bad and insufficient leadership. That's why I got out. And I got out in 1990. From what I've seen and been told, the problem is getting worse.
"Big drill gonna take of you" got me teary eyed. Of course the army is all about doing wtf you are supposed to do and sometimes big scary loud guys (or gals) with a lot of rank make sure it happens. But those same scary people would reach down into the depths of hell to carry you out. Those lead from the front, follow me, leaders that we all hope for.
I hate that Drill has become a martyr, in light of his career in the army, because of his fierce leadership skills. We need more NCOs like this. Not the paper pushers we’ve been getting. Thanks drill, for doing what you do and bringing light to situations like these, despite the backlash you receive.
Yeah...back channel officer comms are flaring up for this one! He might even have his brass come down on him for pointing out something the higher ups stepped in Playing a dangerous game but sometimes it has to be done...let's hope this isn't the hill he dies on
Wow, I had no idea he was still serving, wooooah I’m mind blown they haven’t put him away. Either way he’s made millions off YT he can retire tomorrow.
We won't. From the top down, they are trying to weed out the real soldiers and get rid of them. They need privates that will occupy American cities and confiscate firearms.

From a fellow "forever e-6" I salute your integrity and dedication. I have stood toe to toe with BDE and Div CSM and CDR telling them what they were not allowed to do on many occasions. The military needs less "yes" men and women and more men and women with integrity. Side note: Your command must LOVE having you around. Makes their days and nights fun. LOL
"suffering is a great teacher but suffering for the sake of suffering is nonsense." This is exactly why I like angry cops because even as a drill sergeant even as an e6 in the army knowing there's a lot of stupid s*** there's some parts of it that is just plain f****** dumb and he sees right through it and he ain't going to put up with it.
The idea that a soldier should blindly follow the person with the most stripes went out with the Nuremberg trials, time and time again since then soldiers have been definitively held to account for their actions in various militaries across several conflicts. If you want a thinking soldier to follow orders you have to instill the belief that the person ordering them has good reason to give that order and actually cares if you make it home alive or not, behaviour like this video talks about is probably gonna lead to a lot more questioning of orders down the line if this isn't put right and the officers involved disgraced and discharged.
This to me is where the fine line of embrace the suck / cowboy up / common sense all merge into a single area. (Part of me is I agree with AC well 99% of me) but that 1% is nagging my brain. Was the CSM wrong absolutely, however again part a very small part of me is training, learning to embrace the suck (suffering just for suffering) is needed in line units, obviously not all the time and things could have been handled way different, however, you need to train suffer just to suffer, lay in freezing water just to know and push your limits, obviously if you get trench foot or hypothermia yeah have a medic take care of you but, all in all you fight and kill for American values, knowing when your frozen and can barley think and have learnt to push on is what wins battles not its cold so no training. Many ww2 vets have stated the only thing that kept them alive was the stupid level of harsh training they received to prepare for D-day. Also special forces go to sere school just to experience this type of treatment, (yes, i am splitting hairs and playing devils advocate) and this is where the csm was wrong is yes you can have your stringent stupid training (again its what pushes you to know your limitations and know when to just need to cowboy up and drive on) however they should have had ample time to warm up and see to their wounds (that is just the stupid part).
@@berryb745 I agree to an extent, and we probably have similar feelings on the matter. But I think it's worth noting there's a difference between "embrace the suck" because of a situation you find yourself in, and a situation you're deliberately put into (and a grey area between the two). Let's say you go on your field cycle in May, packing list comes out and there's no snivel gear (always have wet weather gear) on it because the expected weather is sunny and warm. Then while you're out there you run into some days where its cold and shitty. Well now you embrace the suck and you get some personal character development. That's not the same as having a field cycle in January/February, where you have snivel gear in your packing list specifically because of the expected weather, and then telling soldiers they're not allowed to use it. Now there's more too it than that (you dont let soldiers wear waffles when it's 50-60 degrees out, that's improper use of gear). But generally speaking, you get issued gear for a reason, and training is when you're supposed to learn how to properly utilize that gear. Basically I look at it as "I'm in a situation I'm not prepared for and have to learn to suck it up and cope." compared to "I'm in a situation I am prepared for, but am not being allowed to fix." As for denying medical treatment to soldiers, usually that's something that would be a big deal and be cause for an investigation. I'd be surprised if this is the last we heard about it.
Angry Cop worked as a drill sergeant. His entire JOB is to sniff out bullshit from new recruits and nip it in the bud. This is like being a young chess player going against a grandmaster from the USSR (rip that one kid you're momma ain't gonna save you).
“Rangers don’t go to med roll for trench foot” That’s not true, If you aren’t mission capable cause your feet are fucked up, they want you to go and get that shit fixed so you can go back to being a badass!
Yeah I agree with you, that’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. “Push through the pain brah” 1720s mentality before they lived past 35. Recovery is equally as important as work, mentally and physically.
Well, I went through Army basic training in 1983. Every opportunity we had, we were required to check our feet. The drill sergeants made us remove boots and socks during ruck marches to check feet. All but one of my drill sergeants were Viet Nam vets so they knew what it meant to take care of your feet, they had to to survive in moist, warm climates. We all know the Army travels everywhere via LPC’s so foot hygiene, and care, is paramount. I don’t understand why a SGM doesn’t reinforce foot care. If a soldier can’t march into battle, what good is he?
I am so glad I served when I did (84-91). Almost all of my Senior NCO's were Nam Vets and for the most part, looked out for us. They were hard assed for sure, but it was for the purpose of making us better soldiers, not just to fuck with us. I had respect for all of them, and when we deployed to DS/DS, I was damn glad to have them. There is something comforting about having a guy who has been in the shit, tell you how this really isn't as bad as you think it is.
Science shows that the size and mass of a persons head, skull, or cranium is not directly representative of having a big brain. How ever that big beautiful doom piece houses alot of good info
As a retired LTC, this pisses me off more than you can imagine...I’ve given NCOs and Jr officers verbal counseling for less than this type of behavior...taking care of your soldiers should be #1 in every commander’s mind...unfortunately, I’ve seen way too many incompetent officers who are promoted and /or placed into positions of greater responsibility/authority due to the “West Point good old boy network”. It’s one of the reasons I chose to retire rather than stay beyond my 20 years.
Thank you for your service sir! My uncle was a lifer in the Marines. Watching him over the last 40 years I can only Partly understand the amount of commitment that takes. Seriously, thank you.
Thank you Sir, we who were in the ranks appreciated officers with that kind of integrity....but you know that, because your soldiers showed you by their performance.
You Sir, are what the military in general is lacking, I was fortunate enough to almost always have good officers on the company level. Higher up though....... very rare
Yes Sir! My Dad started out as a PV1 in the Reserves, went RA as enlisted, worked his way up the chain. OCS, Airborne, Ranger SF. Got Riffed after Vietnam, came back as an E5, then made E7 in record time. Retired as a Major. He really disliked West Point Grads. Called them "Ring Knockers". During my time in a CEB in Germany, 99.9% of the officers were West Point. They sucked. The only good ones were ROTC or Bootstrap. The only good one was the XO. When his time was up, they wanted him to be a CO somewhere. He said no. I want to teach at West Point or I get out. He went on to teach "Nuclear Thermodynamics" or something, at WP. I'm a retired Marine officer. I've seen a couple dozen of your videos now including the one which sparked this one. This is the best video of your videos I've seen to date. I've run into this toxic leadership before at the CO level, once with an Army Bn CO, his CSM, and his LTCOL (Sel) OpsO in Iraq in 2003, and again with a Marine Regt CO later in my career. In the first case, karma intervened and the arrogance of the Army Bn CO (to whose command our Marine reserve company was attached) caught up with him because the AQI bastard who shot him dead didn't give a sh*t about the curfew our hero personally tried to enforce. In the second case, the Regt CO was slapped with not one, but two rightfully deserved Cmd Climate Surveys, but in both cases, his buddies at Division protected him. This became just another case of unchecked toxic leadership investigated by higher authority but dismissed because high-ranking officers are protecting their buddies of the same rank. The injustice here--assuming due diligence of Sgt Hy has been done, and it appears to have been--is off the charts. Had I been the Regimental CO, I'd have relieved both the CO and CSM. This is UNSAT. Integrity used to actually mean something, but for the last 30 years, it has been nothing but an empty word. Those who do the right thing--enlisted AND officers alike--are punished. Those who "play the game" regardless of who gets hurt by the decisions and egregious failures of leadership (if you want to call it that) are advanced, and THAT is why we have complete idiots running the country from the Alzheimer-in-Chief to every one of his Service Chiefs, down to people like the 2-30 Bn CO and his failure of a CSM who thinks a training evolution is the same as the Battle of Chosin.
What’s worse is that platoon leader will probably have his army career ruined for trying to do the right thing and that BN CDR will most likely get promoted to full bird colonel. Once you’re in the “Good Ol’ Boy” club, you’re pretty much untouchable. Pissed me off.
I see it regularly, Enlisted are held to a standard and paper applied to them. Officers have a SHARP or alcohol issue and get "talked to". Then we get to see them make the their next rank, as if they were stellar leaders. Officers don't do paper on Officers.
Had an artillery O5 physically assault a female MP E6 because we wouldn’t let his fresh from training medic treat a female soldier of his that attempted suicide. The medic told the LTC that it was above his abilities with what he had available. The DA civilian paramedic stated, and I quote, “I heard the COL say 'get out of my say sgt. White, I’m going to see the garrison commander’ then I turned to see SSG White flying through the air.” When it was all said and done, the LTC did become a COL, and we were told both parties were to blame.
I’ve seen UCMJ applied to CPTs, but O5 and above can be drunk on duty and everyone can smell it, but no one said anything because he could ruin their career. That guy is now an O6.
I've never served, but i've always got the impression from friends who have, that drill sergeants and drill instructors are hard as fuck on their guys, but god help the one outside that barracks who fucks over those recruits/privates for shitty reasons, because drill will not stand for that, and will everything he can protect those joes from officers who know fuck all, and senior NCOs who are jonesing to make O way too hard. .

Haven't known many O4 and above officer wives have you? There are plenty of wives that think they get to use their husband's rank as a club. As far as why she got involved I think she think/knows if this problem gets enough coverage her husband's career might be seriously hurt.

There is nothing wrong with being a career E6 if all of the people in higher enlisted ranks are actually better in all facets. It is blindly clear this is not the case and Angry Cops would have been an awesome SGM. The Army failed to correctly promote many and the incident at the 2-30 is proof IMO. The Lt being removed after adapting and overcoming is again proof the 2-30 has very senior leadership issues IMO.

It would fall on deaf ears...the majority of DC are ALL toxic leaders!! I guarantee a majority of those POS'S thinks that what the CSM and Commander did was just okeydokey!!
Today's politicians are more concerned with stacking the officer class with their cronies than they are about the well being of the troops and the readiness of the force.
Why was the commander's wife even getting involved? "hey excuse me, it's about the 2-30 video" "Who are you?" "commander's wife" *click* *calls commander* "Why the hell is your CIVILIAN wife calling me about this? does she also dress you in the mornings and takes you to work? tucks you in bed at night with a kiss on the forehead? reads you a bed time story?"
Because the Commander sees he is going to get removed form Command for all the dumb shit his E9 did/said. And he didnt take action. Trying to put the fire out or as they say damage control
I like that she called him to say it's all misinfo, but then plays the civilian "oh I don't get involved" card. This is the reason they stopped putting blue stickers on officer cars cuz these women thought they should be saluted.
@Mr. Shlock nothing wrong with that. No one should be denied wearing uniform items that are designed to keep you comfortable. Being uncomfortable doing a low crawl, tired of 3-5 second rush, carrying stimulated casualties, etc. are all acceptable discomforts as they accomplish some sort of training.
@Mr. Shlock You're completely missing the point. Suffering is an excellent and necessary tool in military training, no one is denying that. The point is, the suffering you're inflicting on the grunts should serve the purpose of training them and should not result in *casualties*. Forcing the privates to PT until they can barely stand, or march for miles with heavy equipment through harsh weather, is training. Threatening them with disciplinary measures should they seek medical care when the flesh of their feet starts bloating and sloughing off is cruelty and serves no purpose but preserving the fragile ego of incompetent superiors.
@Mr. Shlock That's the thing, though. Trench foot, left untreated, leads to necrosis and will often necessitate amputation. That's a permanent disability. Senior NCO's usually know what they're doing, yes, but in this case it's clear that we have an exception to the rule.
Awesome AAR Brother. I am Retired Senior Chief and what you said at the end hit home. It is an awesome job as a leader to build integrity and trust in your unit/command. It only takes one or two good leaders doing the right thing everytime with out fear of reprisal.

Almost any time they wish to NJP request court martial. 99.9% of the time there is not enough evidence to convict. It is your right as a service member to request court-martial and they cannot stop you. Then and only then do they have to produce adequate evidence of guilt. NJP all that is required is the assumption of guilt and then its automatically you are deemed guilty before you even go in. I have seen many NJP and never have I seen someone not be found guilty with ZERO evidence.
"Soldier, I'll have you know that I'm the Battalion Commander's wife!" "I'm well aware of that fact, ma'am, but I still can't let you on-post if you cannot provide the proper identification. I recommend you go back home and retrieve and then we will happily allow you to drive through. Why, smiles might even be involved and we may just requisition a firework display." [3 days later] "CPL Nonya, I apologize for the issue my wife caused at the front gate the other day and it's *never* going to happen again." "What issue, sir? I don't recall any issues at the front gate last time I was on duty there." You have to handle officer dependas gracefully.
Before enlisting I used to work on post for MWR and did some life guarding too. Officer wives were the worst, thought they could solve everything or get away with everything just by bringing up the rank of their spouse and making people run around to do their bidding.
I got a call like that, 11th Cav in Fulda. The woman in question was my 8 months-pregnant wife. She got, essentially, hysterical over the fact she'd left her ID at home. I asked the gate MP to stand by, I'd be right there. (like, 2 buildings away) The gate MP, of course, had done nothing wrong. I wound up talking my wife down, reminding her that he (a Spec4, me a 1LT in Force Mod) telling her that she had to apologize right then and there, which she did. I picked up the phone, called the Fulda Bowling alley and asked them to make a large pizza with everything (GREAT fricking pizza, BTW) and I'd be down to pick it up. I hung up, apologized to the MP myself, sent her home, went and got the pizza, brought it back to the guard shack, apologized to both the guys there and went back to pushing paper.

The fact the Lieutenant was removed and reassigned, arbitrarily, should be enough to launch an investigation into the 2-30 to begin with. Officer reassignment, especially in the middle of an exercise is a HUGE deal with inquiries. Just by doing that, that LtCol just shot himself and his Sergeant Major in both feet at once.
I am a huge military buff, couldn't join due to health conditions, but I wanted to comment this and saw your comment. Your comment needs more likes, good sir. And the 2-30 command chain needs to be investigated thoroughly.

It goes without saying, the Lieutenant got his entire career ended with that reassignment. That's on his record and it's going to be a GIGANTIC red flag for every promotion opportunity he might see. 2-30 command doesn't shit on Joes because their scummy enlisted and he's a high and mighty officer. 2-30 command shits on anyone indiscriminately. Because he's got ZERO integrity. I 100% guarantee there are similar stories going all the way back to his days as a freshly buttered PL.

Take a good look, boys and girls. This is a real leader. This is a guy you'd follow to hell and back because you know he'll be beside you the whole time. You should all be proud to emulate this type of leader. This isn't just for the army. You can improve any situation in life by exhibiting these characteristics. Angry Cops, thank you for doing what you do.
My experience was that Angry Cop exhibited the same character as the vast majority of NCOs. Something is wrong with this unit and no one is willing to make a stand at the cost of their career. At least with the information we have.
@@charlietipton8502 Agreed, I can think of damn few NCOs in my experience that were anything less than total pros....each had strengths and weaknesses as do we all, but by and large they all shared that sense of integrity and pride in their profession.
Problem is the sheer fact that he isnt an ass kisser and brown noser. Even is he made SGM he doesnt have the connections to become the sergeant major of the army.
I feel like that's true of all the branches. Im Navy and the Best 1st line leader I've ever had was an E-6 that would proactively tell our E-7s (who are basically a cult that would make the Marines look like normal sensible folks) that the way they did business could be better. But because he did so without the appropriate respect for the rank that they had and he didn't they would ignore him outright...Chevrons and rockers don't make you a good leader and some of these shits forgot that somewhere along the way.
The best NCOs I’ve ever worked under, worked next to and had work under me always were guys that had gotten screwed by some sort of verbage in an NCOER by an angry 1SG or commander who was called out over something at some point in time. I had a 15 year E6 who was one of the best performers/Weapons squad leaders I’ve ever had in my platoon. But the guy got screwed because he bit back on a 1SG and Company commander for putting his guys in a situation that could’ve been life threatening. As a PSG, I always looked at those guys like gold. I never had to worry about them taking care of my boys, and more importantly if I was doing something jacked up, they’d let me know…..rapidly. I wish this guy would make the list one day. He deserves it 110% So glad I retire next year.
You ever notice people who use the line "you should be aware of what this will do to us" are the type of people who never accept responsibility for their actions
Sad thing is...the good ol' boy network of officers will probably come down on Hy for this...because he is exposing a light on the BS being played by the higher ups
You are the epitome of integrity. As a former commanding officer in the USAF, I believe there can be no finer NCO than one who stands up for his men. I would have been proud to have served with you. And I'm proud to call you a brother at arms.
Thank you sir, for seeing the integrity in Angry Cops' purpose here. As a former USAF Senior NCO I supported many GOOD commanders and other officers who all lived our Core Values, but particularly that 1st one: Integrity First Take some time to respond to Mr. "Unapologetic Prepper's" response a little after yours to let him know what you think about his concern for blind trust of bad leadership, particularly in the face of decisions they've made that violate the big three: Illegal Immoral Unethical
That's ironic since myself as a former Commanding General in the Marines I cannot say enough about this "career" E-6, wished we had more like him in our ranks today.
I stumbled onto your videos just recently in APR ‘22. I was an army medic, and got out as a SGT. Mad respect to you for putting your neck out for these soldiers that need help from a command that doesn’t follow a single one of the army values. I hope these shit stain SGM and LTC got their walking paper.
Me in basic mind you relatively easy basic as I was it force. During PT running I believe was 2.13 miles in the flat sacoony running shoes and I mean flat no arch started having four pain. To the point wiggling my toes hurt. Kept mouth shut got help from other to do something as simple as making a bed. Marching I would sweat from the pain.... Kept my mouth shut went to tech school couldn't deal any more. Went to med got x-ray and wow hundreds of micro fractures each foot. So yeah foot care is massive especially when your job is ground based
Same shit with me during Jan 1991 Desert Storm. I was on guard duty. Rainy and cold in the wee hours of the morning. One shift it was all I could do to breathe with all my equipment on. I had bronchitis as a kid and it was way worse. I told the Sergeant of the Guard I needed to go to BAS and see a Corpsman. He was an E-5 and I was a lowly E-3 pretty much right out of my technical training. He told me not to go or else he would put me on extra shifts, etc. After a couple days, I had to go see a Corpsman. They did their checks and after giving me emergency heavy duty antibiotics and a nebulizer, he said I was on the verge of pneumonia. I think it's in my medical records as Bronchial Asthmatic Spasms or something. Was put in Fleet Five hospital for a few days just in time to do one more day of guard duty, then go back to my normal platoon. That guy was a dick for no reason and literally put my health at risk.
Sounds like a BN CO and a SGM are afraid that they're going to lose their post. And his wife is running scared that she'll lose her clout with the other wives.
Ahh yes the rank of my husband is basically my rank. “Aren’t you forgetting something soldier? Aren’t you forgetting to salute me?” Those are my favorite military wives.
I sure as HELL HOPE SO! Sounds like his Higher had that LTC on the Yellow Footprints in front of his desk. As for his wife calling him was a PUSS MOVE! Hopefully the CSM gets his as well!
Watching this in 2024, and sarge, I have unfathomable amounts of respect for you. I wish you the best and despite that I'm not army, I'm glad to know you've got my back.
Medical practitioners technically cannot be punished by the normal chain of command for performing medical treatment. There is a different medical chain of command that determines appropriate treatment tasks. It provides some insulation. But in practice they can suffer informal reprisals. Medics -> BN medical officer -> BDE Aid Station -> Military Hospital while in the field usually.
SSG Hy has been a pillar of selflessness and integrity for years now. He's been under fire multiple times over the years and still persisted with exposing misconduct and upholding not only the Army's values, but American values as well. It is absolutely unjust that he's been essentially barred from promotion despite being one of the most candidly virtuous men I've ever seen. He isn't afraid of the consequences of doing the right thing and steps up the the plate every time. There has to be something more we can do for this man. Does anybody know of a way that will get AC the recognition he deserves in both the Army and the civilian sector?
@@dacrackhead I know that that's why he does it, and that's exactly why he deserves more. There has to be something we can do for him beyond watching and buying his merch. This man is a champion for the lower enlisted and his love of the Army is enough to bring him to tears. If that doesn't warrant commendation, and the possibility for career advancement in the very least, I don't know what does. The Army has failed him in this regard and he shouldn't be made to take it on the chin every time.
I watched both of your videos regarding this incident and apparent breakdown of command. I honorably left the Army in 1988 as an 03. As a young 01 it was pounded into my head that my main responsibility, besides mission accomplishment, was the health & welfare of the Soldiers entrusted to me. My 1st assignment was in Korea, where the prevention of cold injuries was stressed. The fact that this CSM made that statement and the BN CDR supported and minimized that Is unconscionable. I hope that the both of them are no longer in a command position. Although I fear that they both were given a FUMU.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

One of the best commanders I ever met.

I retired after being drawn into an instance very similar to what you describe. As a chief, I stood against an "O" due to being told "You need to be more like the junior officers". To that I said "I'm a Chief, not an officer! If I act like them, my enlisted will feel detached from the command with no representation." She rode me for the next two years and I finally gave up and walked away. The junior enlisted look up to us as mentors and you have to watch out for them, but at the same time show that you believe in the system. That guy's wife contacting you is massively inappropriate especially after he talked to you. I'm glad the vibe I got from this video was "I'm not stopping to point out stupid. @@MaynardCrow Hey, at least with the irish/scando genes we can withstand the cold better than most people.
Yup, my former commander (CPT) was hit with a domestic abuse charge. She got out as a COL
Question is how many targets is he going to pain on not only his back but his spouses back as well
I see it regularly, Enlisted are held to a standard and paper applied to them.
White, I’m going to see the garrison commander’ then I turned to see SSG White flying through the air.”
When it was all said and done, the LTC did become a COL, and we were told both parties were to blame.
I’ve seen UCMJ applied to CPTs, but O5 and above can be drunk on duty and everyone can smell it, but no one said anything because he could ruin their career. That guy is now an O6.

"I'm just the wife, I don't get involved, so I'm involved"
How anyone could say "I don't get involved" after involving themselves, with a straight face, is just mind numbing!
@@sharks3010 They believe people are as empty up top as they are
You ever notice people who use the line "you should be aware of what this will do to us" are the type of people who never accept responsibility for their actions
I read the title as: “the 2-30 commander called me, so I did his wife”
Don’t wish a horrible fate on Mr. and Mrs. Hy.
Colonel Jackman should burn in hell with his dependapotomus
I kinda thought that could have played out in multiple ways.
I thought it was that till your comment made me look at the title closer
He didn't deny it.
LOL
It is all crumbling. Our politics, our military, our schools, our country. Sad.
Sad thing is...the good ol' boy network of officers will probably come down on Hy for this...because he is exposing a light on the BS being played by the higher ups
infiltrate and subvert.
As a former USAF Senior NCO I supported many GOOD commanders and other officers who all lived our Core Values, but particularly that 1st one: Integrity First
Take some time to respond to Mr. "Unapologetic Prepper's" response a little after yours to let him know what you think about his concern for blind trust of bad leadership, particularly in the face of decisions they've made that violate the big three:
Illegal
Immoral
Unethical
gaayyy
That's ironic since myself as a former Commanding General in the Marines I cannot say enough about this "career" E-6, wished we had more like him in our ranks today.
I stumbled onto your videos just recently in APR ‘22. I was an army medic, and got out as a SGT. Mad respect to you for putting your neck out for these soldiers that need help from a command that doesn’t follow a single one of the army values. I hope these shit stain SGM and LTC got their walking paper.
the one dislike is of the commander's dependa.
It’s 2 now
I bet that bitch runs around base yelling at ppl and references "I am the commanders wife"

Fun Fact: SOMETHING BEING WRONG WITH YOUR FEET IS NOT "MINOR"
Proper Foot Care Can Win or Lose Wars
Look up US Army footwear situation during the Battle of the Bulge. Toes fell off when removing the sock!
So yeah foot care is massive especially when your job is ground based
A simple watch of We Were Soldiers is enough for me to agree.

Napoleon felt this
Same shit with me during Jan 1991 Desert Storm.
The commander’s wife calling removes every milligram of integrity from her husband. Truth be told... he put her up to it.
I would feel so ashamed if my spouse called on my behave to try and bully someone into not calling me out for my BS.
If my wife did what the LTCs wife did I would be so pissed and embarrassed.
Most Men would be, says a lot about the LTC.
"I'm not a part of this, I'm just a civilian..."
Then WTF are you calling me?!
That would have been my reply too
Precisely!!!!!!!!!
Hit her with a quick “ then lose my fucking number”
Proud of the army medic that said "I'll take my chances" and got his boy treatment. Can't squash medic integrity.
When my boy doesn’t begin a video with “My drill sergeant sense is tingling” then you know shit is about to get real.
100% and that's when the real A.C personality comes out
SSG Hy has been a pillar of selflessness and integrity for years now.
Beyond medals or awards not really. I dont think he even does it for that rather for the joes.
The Army has failed him in this regard and he shouldn't be made to take it on the chin every time.
big boss has a patreon in the description
I watched both of your videos regarding this incident and apparent breakdown of command.
I honorably left the Army in 1988 as an 03. As a young 01 it was pounded into my head that my main responsibility, besides mission accomplishment, was the health & welfare of the Soldiers entrusted to me. My 1st assignment was in Korea, where the prevention of cold injuries was stressed.
The fact that this CSM made that statement and the BN CDR supported and minimized that Is unconscionable.
I hope that the both of them are no longer in a command position. Although I fear that they both were given a FUMU.
