  • The Sound Couple Returns for another Quick Fix video. Quick Fix videos are more condensed and feature a punch list of things we cover to get you back on your way!
We return to a now very familiar venue...but just as routine as we like to make them, there always seems to be something...This time it's primarily accommodating the venue with condensed set-up time for us.
We hope you enjoy the twist from our regular more fuller detailed videos where we let the cameras roll and see what happens!
The Sound Couple primarily use PreSonus gear featuring:
    PreSonus UC Surface
    PreSonus CDL12
    PreSonus CDL18s
    PreSonus 32R
    PreSonus SW5E
    PreSonus NSB Stageboxes
    PreSonus AVB-D16
Please see our "About" for a more comprehensive list of gear we use.

As much as i love the longer Videos, these short Videos are really great!

I agree. If I were them, I'd put up the full videos as usual, but ALSO put up a shorter one. Then they could get 2 videos out of each gig for the price of 1!

We like them too! Especially for repeat venues. We are surprised though that video metrics tell a different story....our longer format videos perform much better. We are not sure why, but we will continue with the Quick Fix's when it makes sense!

@@thesoundcouple Perhaps it's as simple the title JUST being "Quick Fix #(x)" nobody knows what that means with no context, I can tell you my thought was "oh is this going to be like a tips and tricks video or?" I don't mean to tell you your business, I just want to see you guys have success because you deserve it, keep up the great work!

@@djjazzyjeff1232 Good points....we will think about this a bit. Our goal with these was to keep videos coming with specific topics, especially for repeating venues and keep them shorter. I think we accommodating the regular viewers to keep topic's fresh with familiar bands/venues. We are trying to maintain that balance of new vs. old viewers.

@@thesoundcouple The idea is fantastic it just needs some refinement. Have a great show today (if you’ve got one!) from a fellow Minnesota band guy!

Putting those peavey speakers on the truss like they did in the venue scares the hell out of me!

Great job (as always) Bart & Stacy. Loved seeing the drum section, have always seen them setting to the side on others show good to see them played.

Hello team - short and sweet, but enjoyable. Play hard, be safe and return another day.

Hello again guys! Ok let's talk Chauvet 4-bar. First I had one go out (post warranty). It was the 12v power supply inside. I simply took an old 12V AC adapter apart, took out the insides and retro-fitted it into the Chauvet 4-bar. Been working fine ever since!
Secondly... I got rid of that annoying knob that is used to tighten the 4-bar to the tripod. I took out the parts on the 4-bar associated with the tightening tongue. Then I used a heat gun to heat up a 6" piece of black Schedule 40 1 1/4" PVC pipe and slide it part way onto each tripod. Now when setting up the lights, you just slip the 4-bar onto the top of the tripod and it slips in tight and without the need of the knob screwy thing.
One note... there are TWO different sized that Chauvet has been using for the 4-Bars for the stand receivers. Mine worked fine but my friend's 4-bars had a receiver that was smaller and therefore I couldn't do the retro-fit for him. Simply pick up a small piece (even white) of 1 1/4" Sched 40 PVC and see if it slides into the 4-bar.
Wow... that was a lot! Sorry! Keep the vids coming!

Thanks for sharing! Our's was still on warranty so we went that route, but the shipping costs are certainly becoming something to consider as to determining whether even warranty work is worth it or trying to fix things yourself.
