I really love you handled the transitions in this! Stuff like the moon changing into the blackboard, and the photographs, and the pinkies... it's so interconnected in themes and looks really good! Including so many different parts of the manga was a treat, too. And the lyrics fit so well with what's going on in Hanako-kun! Maybe it's a bit of bias, since I love Hanako-kun, but I like this even more than the original music video for Hitchcock!

After I re-read the chapter where Kou, Hanako and Yashiro go to the festival, I noticed that when Yashiro returns from the past, Hanako touches his forehead and blushes a tiny bit, Maybe he remembered what happened?
I really love how at the beginning, Amane is alone and colourless while his days are all colourful, but he seemed to not enjoy his days at all. Then at the end, he's all alone too, but he is coloured while his surroundings are just a white canvas. Meaning he finally has everything, and yet he has nothing. As if he really, really, won't find friends unless he's dead Aaaaaaa im crying at my own comment
I love that you pointed this out, because now it makes this video all that much more impactful. Especially when you consider that the few times that both him and the background are colored is only when Nene is with him or they are doing stuff together in the dream world. Hanako really just wants happiness, love, and a true friend, which he found in her and through her presence.

Nothing more (or so I recall). I don't really wanna go into details on what happens with her and Hanako-kun but I tell you, it gets really interesting. You can read the manga on online reading platforms. Just search "Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun manga" on google and there would be links to sites where you can read it. Although, if you have enough money to support the author, I think it's better to buy the manga on Bookwalker (if I recall, the manga is available there).
[Spoiler Alert] [Theory] So in the Manga, in Chapter 38 where Yashiro met Young Amane, it was July 7th, 1964 as seen in the calendar. At the end of that Chapter, young amane wished to see Yashiro again. And in Chapter 22, it was July 18 1969 as seen in the calendar, Yashiro met Amane again, but he ran away. And in Chapter 13, when Amane Decided to stay, it July 22, 1969. So my theory is that Amane's wish to see Nene again came true after 5 years on July 18 1969. So i think he decided to stay because he thought he could see Yashiro again. And in Chapter 27, there was a scene of Hanako looking kind of surprised when Yashiro knocked on the bathroom stall, maybe he was surprised to see yashiro after many years. But hey its just a theory, an anime theory [EDIT] When they were in No. 4's Boundary, Shijima told Yashiro and Kou to kill Amane and Mitsuba in order to exit her boundary. Tsukasa also told Yashiro to kill Amane too, we might think that it's for revenge, but Yashiro said that Tsukasa doesn't seem like someone who wants revenge. And both Mitsuba and Amane are dead already, so I think killing them would mean nothing. So my theory is that Tsukasa wanted Mitsuba and Amane to fall into the pits of despair, by making the person they care about most try to kill them, and if Yashiro and Kou were to try to kill them, Mitsuba and Amane would feel betrayed and will be scared to trust people afterwards, like a trauma or something. And if they become like that, Tsukasa can use this to his advantage by acting to be by their side always or cheer them up, and they would become dependent on him, and would stop Yashiro and Kou from interfering with his plans, so killing two birds with one stone.

No. Actually, Amane had no friends when he was alive is because Tsukasa didn't like someone approaching Amane. Amane himself said that. Since after Amane's death, Tsukasa wasn't there to impede Hanako from making friends, Hanako had friends after he was dead. Hanako would've been so happy if Tsukasa wasn't his brother.

When I first saw this chapter/scene in the manga, I immediately taught about this song “Hitchcock by Yorushika” and how similar they are to each other. It was as if this song depicted exactly how Hanako-Kun felt at that period during his time as a Human (Amane Yugi) together with his interactions with Tsuchigomori. I was really hoping to see a JSHK ver of this song and you made it come true! It felt very emotional as it relates to style story very well, plus your art and animation are really beautiful! iiiiiiiiiit's theory time! (somewhat spoilers) you know, amane's sensei (forgot his name) said that he was able to alter his future for no reason. i find that odd, like why was he so special? how come he was able to change his future while others couldn't? then i thought, maybe it was because of yashiro. she gave him all her tags, and his wish was to meet her again. didn't she say no matter what, it'll come true? the future his sensei must've seen was the original one, but because of meddling from the future, it ended up changing. i wonder how that key yashiro got from amane will play out though. maybe it helped too? whats interesting is that the calendar also said "Wise words: Do not forget your personal belongings." or something like that.

you know, amane's sensei (forgot his name) said that he was able to alter his future for no reason. i find that odd, like why was he so special? how come he was able to change his future while others couldn't? then i thought, maybe it was because of yashiro. she gave him all her tags, and his wish was to meet her again. didn't she say no matter what, it'll come true? the future his sensei must've seen was the original one, but because of meddling from the future, it ended up changing. i wonder how that key yashiro got from amane will play out though. maybe it helped too? whats interesting is that the calendar also said "Wise words: Do not forget your personal belongings." or something like that.
