- Please don't repost to Instagram or tiktok* Spoilers for Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun/ Jibaku Shonen Hanko Kun Manga* I finally finished this mmv after almost a year in the works XD Anyways I recently got into Hanako by my friend Dragonrider17 who requested I make a mmv to the series so this is for her. I also want to thank SeanPNG for the inspiration and introducing me to this song (I will link to his amv below).
Anyways I love editing mmvs and I did a lot of experimentation and trying new things on this particular mmv. It was fun, but same time hard lol. I also ran into the issue of having to wait out chapters cause I wanted the focus to stay on the main characters over some of the side characters in the recent arc. My friends requirement was to end this also on happier note and lol wasn't sure how the current arc would go so I am glad it did end happier than I thought.
Anyways I submitted this to ALA's amv contest among a few others and I hope you all enjoy!

Jesus Hirsuit Christ, the complexity of your compositions has reached god-tier levels. I appreciate that you are so aware of how to balance technical complexity and storytelling so intuitively. I loved how you always played with seconary/pickup beats as much as possible, sometimes using them to provide dark nuance to a innocent narrative you just established. Super well done!

Holy hell if there's anyone that can edit a song of this power it's you. Honestly I was in awe all the way and you hit those emotional beats hard towards the end. It's perfect! I don't know the series but the editing got me hooked into the video. Incredible work 😍

Just saw this in the Anime Boston AMV contest! Totally blown away! Wasn't expecting to hear Killing Kind in an amv today and it was executed breathtakingly! (Bonus points for Killing Kind as it is one of my faves by Marianas Trench.) My friend and I voted for this to be Best In Show--we hope to see it there!!! The editing and pacing and well, everything, is just so amazing. You deserve it!

This was my fav AMV of AB2023 and it was the AMV that INSPIRED and pushed me to read Toilet bound Hanako kun. Never had I see such a beautiful manga edit into an AMV this was AMAZING and the story telling really got me so intrigued I had to read it!!! 7 months later I’m caught up with the chapters and am rewatching this to now fully understand the AMV and its great how u added so many little foreshadowing panels and also loved how u included a lot of different arcs ❤

I cannot imagine the amount of effort, time, and creativity it took in animating MANGA panels. I've watched MMVs before in the past, but you did an incredible job brining these manga illustrations to life Nekokitkat.
In fact, I would dare say that your MMV was such a remarkable video that it inspired me to push myself even further when it comes to AMV editing.

holy SHIT that was INCREDIBLE i cannot FATHOM the work that went into ALL of THAT but the one thing i REALLY want to comment on is the colour just cos ive never even seen colouring like that on an mmv???????????? to find all those matching (and equally creepy) colour schemes!!! even when they were only on screen for a second! and colouring all the individual items? whATT>???
omgosh! Seriously thank you! The coloring was something I was experimenting with. the eyes I colored manually though. But yeah the coloring was a mix of various effects and testing different color combinations. If you like i don't mind going into detail of the process later if you want

yeah series looks very cute and is cute is like supernatural mysteries throughout and has darker elements as the story progresses. Kinda reminds me of xxxholic actually.
