This video is actually amazing, just got mine in the mail and it answered all the questions that started popping into my head as soon as I opened it. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this demo video, you've given me the confidence that I can do this inflatable kayak on my own ! You saved me hours of puzzling through the directions. I subscribed to your channel.
Thank you very much. I hope you are enjoying your kayak. We have lots of fun with them. If you ever have any questions let us know. Thanks for watching
Thanks for this . First watched it when I bought this boat in February of 2020. Only managed to get it out on handful of reservoirs in Georgia last summer. Now needed to watch again as I am packing it up to take on a trip out West. Still can't quite manage to fold it up as well as you did.
Just got myself this same Kayak. Now I know what to do! Your video simplified what I was reading in the instruction manual & took the fear of me getting out there by myself and going what do I do now. LOL Thank you! What kind of gloves is your wife using? I'm gonna need to get some.😊
Correct that was something I did not like. There are gauges you can buy with different pumps. I just pump them up until they are firm. Thanks for watching.
How does the kayak handle and track? Just want one for recreational purposes. How do you get accurate PSI inflation if the pump doesn’t have a way to measure it? Thanks for the video.
Those are great questions. I bought a gauge and it did not work at all. So I just pump u til it’s very tight. Never had any issue. The tracking is not as good as a regular kayak but it’s not bad. The stability is great never had an issue. Thanks for watching
How did you decide when it was inflated to .9 psi? Did you end up getting an air gauge. If so, which one? I just unboxed mine tonight. I waited to see how you put the seat together to transform mine.. !!
@@SmoreCampingwiththeSchraggs Thanks -- I'm going to give it a test in the living room this week. I ordered one that Sevylor customer service recommended. I live in Western NC - Asheville. There are many great mountain lakes around here and in South Carolina. I am also an artist so I'm designing a table for it that holds some art supplies and an easel. :) FUN / Thanks again.
thanks for this video... went out with my kayak and after inflating the side and floor, i was left with a feeling of "wasnt there 3...??? i could swear there is 3... why does the front and side seems off... i am sure there was 3...." hold and behold, i forgot the little "lift flap" !! i thought it was to lift from the handle... lol
i don't live in ohio, but i didn't even think about getting tags for these things. do you think that it is something that's necessary? sorry if this is to broad of a question as im sure it varries state by state.
In our state of Arkansas, there is no registration of an boat, canoe, or kayak that is not motorized (electrical or gasoline). Motor mouths and arms with paddles do not necessitate the registration process.
Marvellous my friend. Hope I can find one... Bit late to the party I know👌🤣😎.. If anyone knows where I can find one in the UK that would be great. Thanks
We have been thinking about selling ours. We love them just don’t get out on the water much anymore. Fly over the pond and you can buy ours. Lol thanks for watching.
Yes we was hoping they were removable also. It is a great design we are happy with them. The only con is they take so much time to dry and wipe down or they will get moldy
Hi, thanks for the review. Really thorough and helped my wife and I decide on what to buy. One question, the manual says to inflate to .9 psi, how did you get it right? Are we worrying about it too much or did you have some experience before hand? Thanks again, Will
Ok so we did worry about this when we first bought them. We also looked and looked for a pressure gauge. I finally bought one and it did not work at all. So we just pump them up until they feel firm. We also count the amount of pumps. In each of the chambers. That helps to keep consistency
Hi, thanks for the reply! It really speaks to the quality of your channel. We just received the kayak yesterday and are heading to the lake here in Southern Oregon tomorrow. If you don’t mind divulging your secrets, how many pumps do you give in each chamber? I won’t hold you to it if we need more or less!
Good to see a guy like myself in the heavyweight class putting this kayak together. Just for posterity, I saw the good lady having a paddle, it would be good to view how you get in and out, and getting up to speed.
great unboxing! How tough is this kayak? im looking to get an inflatable kayak but im worried about durability and speed (im mainly gonna use it at sea). Im stuck between this, an intex challenger k1 or explorer k1 and an Itiwit 1
We use ours in local lakes. The downfall of this kayak is the skeg. It seems to bend to the left or right depending on how you pack it. I don’t think I would use this at sea....more of a calm water kayak, although we have been in rough water in a large lake.
I don't like that the bladder isn't covered on the inside. Complete coverage would give me the peace of mind i need to spend that price. I'll stick with my rio for now
S'more Camping with the Schraggs yeah just got it on OfferUp. Along with the k1 and k2. All work great. Enjoyed my ride and going again tomorrow. I hope you take your out as well.
@@SmoreCampingwiththeSchraggs The cover is baggy and the fin on the bottom is permanently bent so it doesn’t track well or maintain speed. The seat is terrible, you end up sitting in straps and buckles. The splash guard is only a single zip so you can’t roll it down part way. There’s no foot rest which means you can’t use your legs to help steer out provide leverage for paddling. There is no way to gauge whether it’s properly inflated. The gear storage isn’t sealed so if you need to tip the kayak on its side stuff can fall out. It’s also really heavy and difficult to fold up. It’s a bunch of good ideas poorly executed. The Intex K1 may look cheaper, but it’s way more functional.
Please help: i have an older model of this and the bottom inflatable is missing the nozzle. We’ve bought and tried a couple of different types but they aren’t what we need. Anyone have any info about how to fix this?
This video is actually amazing, just got mine in the mail and it answered all the questions that started popping into my head as soon as I opened it. Thank you.
So glad we could help
Great demo - after a year I forgot the trick to folding it up- love this boat.
Lol glad we could help. We are still using ours and they are as in good shape as they were the day we bought them.
Chhheeeers!! Thanks so much. Great kayak. 100 bucks on clearance 🎉

Great video. I saw two of these for sale and wondered how it would work. Seems doable!
We love them

It takes time just make sure you keep the Edges in tight and the point square them off. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching

Thank-you! Mine did not come with instructions and I needed help folding it back up. Nice demo!
Your welcome glad we could help
Thanks for making this so easy! 😊
Thank you for watching
This was amazing. Just ordered one and this was very informative. Thanks!!
Glad you liked it please subscribe we will do another video on the kayaks Very soon.
Thanks for Video..Just purchased One..After you video I am Happy I Did for the Money Spent
We love ours. So happy you got one.
Thank you. But I didn't see you pack the pump at the end. Did I miss that? Does it fit in the backpack at the end?
No the pump does not pack in the backpack. I guess they just expect you to strap it to the outside of the pack. Thanks for watching
This was really good. Now, how. Do you tell how much air to put in it? The pump doesn’t come with a gauge.
Correct that was something I did not like. There are gauges you can buy with different pumps. I just pump them up until they are firm. Thanks for watching.
What about the spray skirt being left off? Does that affect the integrity of the boat, or handling?
No it does not. When it’s really hot out it’s nice not having it on. When it’s a little cooler then the spray skirt is nice. Thanks for watching.
You think recreational fishing off one of these is a good idea?
I think can for sure but not sure I would want hooks around an inflatable.
Would be nice to know what the pros and cons of this kayak are, how it performs, stability, tracking, etc.
I will get that all for you. Give me until tomorrow

How do you get the water dry efficiently in the area between the inflatable tube and the outer fabric before storage or putting in the backpack?
So what we do is take the bladder out dry it off then let it sit in the sun. We also do the same with the putter covering
Now that it's a couple years later, did this kayak hold up well?
Yes they are in perfect shape still.
@@SmoreCampingwiththeSchraggs I just bought one. Hopefully it's good and doesn't leak.
Great, thank you the best how to vid I have seen. Just purchased this and very excited. Can anybody tell me about how mush back support I will get pls
Back support is very good actually. So glad we could help you and thanks for watching.
i got this coming in in a few days. you dig it on the water?
Yes it is a lot of fun. Enjoy and thanks for watching.
Great Demo! You're a pro!
Thank you for watching
Extra points for the jogging demo haha
Hahahahah finally someone noticed the jogging
So you have owned them for a couple of years now. Are they holding up? any holes? are they tipy?
Yes they are holding up. Actually look the same as the day we bought them. Can’t wait to get out and use them again in 2022. Thanks for watching.
great video! Helped a ton!
Glad it helped!

Thanks for the review! Very informative and very helpful.
You are welcome
+1 thanks for the tutorial and clear setup explanation
You are welcome. Thanks for watching
That's so funny they make you register kayaks for a lake.
It sure is but just another way to make a buck and scam the people.
What about the plugs on the underside of the kayak what are they for exactly?
They are to drain water once you are done.
Hi! great review. I am 192cm tall would i feel comfortable in this kayak? Thanks
Yes it gets a little tight at your feet but you will fit
Can you fit the air pump in the bag with the kayak?
No you can not but you can strap it to the back with the provided bungee cords

How quickly can you get out of that if you capsize?

Taxing kayaks, that is just plain despicable, I won't be spending any money visiting Ohio. Thanks greedy lawmakers
Yeah it does suck that we have to pay but it’s not very much. Not a big deal.
