How to Create a Collection in Lightroom Classic CC

How to create a collection in Lightroom Classic CC simply explained in a bite size chunk.
Collections are a great way to access your favourite photographs from various folders without having to jump between each folder. Simply create a collection, select photographs from different folders and pop them into your chosen collection.
In this Lightroom classic bite Size tutorial I will show you just how easy it is.

I am trying to tidy up my (many!) folders by creating collections but once i have put folders into a collection is there any way i can delete/hide the folder itself. Im trying to tidy up my side panel as i literally have hundreds of folders on display. many thanks.
