It’s pretty likely McFarlane doesn’t know the stuff he makes. In a recent interview he had with Shartimus he says he just picks what he thinks looks cool.

Saw the clip and he was talking nonsense. I only own 2 DC figures from him, rebirth joker which is decent and Metals WW, where her right hand is HUGE.
Y'all complain too much about mcfarlane, just be happy the figures are good and the articulation isn't some neca type and they at least make double jointed knees and elbows
@@FancyNancyFr Seriously though. Even when they "half-ass" stuff, the figures still look LEAGUES better than a lot of DC merch of the past.
Honestly it looks like they looked at one picture for 5 seconds and made a figure on what they remembered.

I loved the look of Gotham in Arkham Knight and its my favorite look for the city across all media, but Asylum is the best, hands down.
It has a perfect atmosphere, it has a tight story, and I love the boss interactions. Not the boss fights per se, but the interactions with Riddler, Scarecrow, Croc, etc. It's just so perfectly well rounded.
Honestly if you're looking for a good grotesque pale monster from McFarlane that is actually worth the price, go with the Tyranid Genestealer. I know nothing about Warhammer 40k but that figure is absolutely fantastic, great sculpt, mostly solid paint and articulation especially for the price, it's cheaper than Marvel Legends and puts most of them to shame IMO.
Arkham Asylum is still the best imo. It’s nice and streamlined, you just move from one challenge to the next without the game wasting your time. It’s like a Batman Metroid Prime game. Can’t go wrong with the original!

I really like Origins, being chased by a group of Batman’s classic villains and taking them down in unique ways was so much fun. Idk why it’s so unpopular amongst fans…

To answer your question about his name, it was originally titled Titan-Powered Joker for his character trophy in the game.

Yeah,the DC Collectibles one is far more accurate to the game. This one really isn't close at all.

Man I was rlly hoping for this release to look good, but aside from accuracy I think it looks decent as it’s own concept
Arkham City fun gameplay and story
it's like the designer saw a 144p screenshot of the Joker from the game and designed the figure based on their interpretaion of that blurry image. i don't understand how something as obvious and crucial as the general frame and proportions can be messed up this badly. It's such a mess I almost want it because of how hilariously poorly done everything about the figure is.
And DC direct still beat McFarlane toys to the punch, hell, in terms of QC issues, they're around the same level

It's disgusting how much better painted Titan Joker and Etrigan look in the stock images compared to reality.

This Joker Titan is a Titan joke!
It’s weird how this game has been out for over a decade and the figure is so horribly wrong. Not only that but the side eye wouldn’t even make sense here since one of his eyes would be looking directly into his nose.
My only issue with the figure is how inaccurate it is

The Arkham games always felt like victims of their own success, pretty much succumbing to bigger is better disease as of the first sequel, much like Todd's figures, now that I come to think of it. Asylum will always be my favorite, the world felt contained and atmospheric, like it was a real place. It's the only one I've actually finished, I always get bored of the others and drop out however many hours in. City has the better boss fights, though.
I don't mind that this figure sucks because to me the concept of a hulked out Joker was always terrible.
Dc direct by far had the better one. Glad I was able to get one years back before they shot up in price

The lack of sculpting in the arm joints which are already a brighter plastic looks real rough. Well, smooth. They look like joints for a different figure.
The reason it's called The Joker Titan is because there's a law that toy companies have to start Joker's name with the word "The" i don't know why they have that law though

Gameplay wise I like Arkham City lots of cool costumes and playable characters. Aesthetic wise, I like Arkham Origins, love the setting of it being Christmas time, as well as the snow fall in the hub world.
Mine came with a solid grey painted head.
Personally I love this figure but could use a better paint job.solid articulation good sculpt fairly nice portions could be less glossy.And not to annoyed that it’s not accrete to the game
I played the three arkham games. Story and ambiance is arkham asylum you feel so trapped in arkham but your batman its such a perfect game good bosses and everything. Arkham knight is best looking and freeroam okay story etc basically batman simulator .batman arkham city is great but I played it after arkahm and knight. Arham has better story than city knight has better gameplay and freeroam city

Arkham asylum has the best story, atmosphere, and world. It's small but dense. Man this figure is missing so many key details. Body shape is all wrong, missing the protruding back shoulder blade bones, protruding ribs, the head is all wrong It's crazy how bad this looks
I'm annoyed by the fact that they didn't include the exposed ribs.
I remember when I went to a toy and collectible store and was amazed by Mcfarlene's collectible statues... Haven't seen that amount of detail in other figures before. But when he decided to start action figure lines seems like he does sculpture for adults combined with kid's toys quality. Now looking at this sculpt I'm afraid we are also losing that area too...
It was all the moaning articulation fans I would always take detail and shelf presence over articulation you would think as adult collectors that would be the most important not how we can pose it

mine is..... i think gotham knights i dont know i just really really like the new game its from 60 dollars to 30 dollars now so thats cool if you want me to chose from the little older games then ill chose origins the movements are really smooth i like that thought ;D
I was watching the future Batman yesterday (which you loved) and now watching this was such a change to see how much you disliked it. I don't blame you.
When I saw him at first, I felt there was something wrong with his chest but couldn't entirely tell what it was and then you said he looks as being punched in the abdomen, totally true! He just looks like a hunchback, like the guy from the movie 300.

Wouldn't it be simpler to just use a double ball peg for the ankles? Sh Monsterarts and Gundam Model kits does it and it works.

This reminds me of those movie tie-in figures from the early 2000s that were articulated but could only strike one specific pose, and somehow this still looks worse.
Arkham Knight on both. I didn't feel batmobile was overused and I had fun with it.
Would better paint aps save this figure?

Normally I don't agree with you on mcfarlane reviews. But on this one I have to. This figure is just weird and all over the place. I have the original one so I was able to skip this. But its hard to call this serviceable to anyone who missed out on the old one.
Thanks for a super review. I believe what you're saying but for someone who never purchased the better Titan Joker this would alleviate some of that curiosity and loss collectors feel when they never purchased or seen action figures like this one for numerous reasons. But again i always enjoy your reviews .
The original one from dc direct was so much better
Arkham Knight was the best imo. I got it after all the bugs and stuff were fixed, so I didn't have those issues, and I played it on a really good PC so it was beautiful.
I should try it on pc. I bet it looks great. What kind of rig do you have?
@@AnthonysCustoms I've got a 3070, 32GB RAM and a Ryzen 5800x, runs really smooth. Plus it's always on sale on PC because some folks don't know about the fixes, so it got a bad rap.
That said, Origins is also way underrated. Except the Deathstroke fight lol

this is why I stopped by McFarlane they just halfass pretty much every release or do illogical crap that no one wants on a figure, the worst part is when it comes to articulation the works been done for them they could really benefit from seeing what other companies do and then hopefully stop doing the stupid crap they've been doing.
Start giving every figure 2 fist hands and if they're going to do that side eye crap make it an alternate head so the figure isn't limited to one shitty pose.
Also Arkham Knight would have to be my favourite mainly because the story and just how damn pretty it looks.
Arkham origins is my favorite game, and as for art direction for me it's a fight between origins and Knight. And as far as this figure goes they took too many liberties with it, not good.

I'd like to encourage you to check out the McFarlane spawn line "Soul Crusher" I just picked it up today and it seems pretty good in my opinion I'd like to hear what you have to say tho, specifically because I think they did the ankles on Soul Crusher pretty well, they are hidden well, and aren't as ratcheted as most of their other offerings, meaning he can actually stand! . there are definitely some proportional issues like slightly too long lower legs. and his elbows could probably be better looking but overall I'm pretty happy with mine. my biggest gripe with him is that the stock on the gun he comes with is too long and he cant shoulder it correctly to get a two handed pose.

If you mentioned this i missed it twice watching your review, but his arms have no ability to turn inward, and that alone makes it really intolerable, can't even pretend to grab Batman or anyone with both hands. Dumb weird and dumb. Plus head raising over hunch is nearly zero, quadruple ugg

@@AnthonysCustoms it was such a surprise and so overlooked since their other big figs swivel and bend at elbow, i just took it for granted on all figures after 1980's joe to have it, really surprised and disappointed, now i look all the time...
I get that as a figure of a character it totally fails. As a fun figure I really like it, but it doesnt represent what it's trying to do at all
Saw the thumbnail before clicking and knew for sure "ooooh Anthony is gonna massacre this one", and deservingly so. I really don't like when McFarlane takes liberties on established designs, if I want to buy the Titan Joker from Arkham Asylum, I want it to actually be the Titan Joker from Arkham Asylum, not whatever this is. Also, McFarlane is inconsistent as-is, but they're reeeaaaaaalllly inconsistent on Megafigs.
