The embroidery machine is much more complicated than this video shows. Cheaper ($1000-$3000) machines can only use one needle and one colour at a time which makes it take a lot longer to embroider. Multi needle machines that can do more colours go anywhere from $10,000-$30,000. Also it isn’t as easy as uploading a picture and letting the machine do the work as they have their own file typed and automatically digitizing isn’t really good unless it’s very very very simple line work . Usually you have to learn how to digitize yourself or pay someone to do it which can get pricey. Software to digitize is around $1000-$5000 but there is some free ones that aren’t super great.
Really just depends on different variables, how much time you're willing to put into it, how much money you're willing to spend and finally if you can create each design yourself or not. If you have time but little money then a single needle is a good place to start as it would be cheapest but require you to replace the thread each time your design changes colour. To create your own designs requires software and its usually not the cheapest, you can get around this by buying designs from other people but that means paying for each design but also means once you buy a design you won't need to rebuy it and can use it multiple times to make your money back.
Agreed, a single head multicolor embroidery machine can cost up to 9k and that's putting out one garment at a time, i don't see embroidery as a low cost start up business.
Am i right if i say that we'll have more peace of mind with embroidery machines than DTF machines, DTF machines tend to break down too often but embroidery machines seems way more reliable even shitty brands.

I'm curiouse to know about the cost to maintaine those machine, if I'm not wrong they brok often and need an expert to fix it + the cost of the parts to be changed on the machine?

Most of these are horrible ideas. The time involved vs. profit margins are abysmal. How long will that rug take you to make? You think you can get $800 for it?

Custom light mounts, custom fingerpicks for playing guitar, mounts for midi devices for guitars, custom multi color design boom knobs for mic stands. I get people asking me to make stuff for them on a regular basis. The thing about running a business for decades is that you learn what people want and what makes money. You should try it some time.
I mean it really depends on where you are located at, maybe in US/UK or even Europe most of these are not usable because of the regulations and the market interest, but for 3rd world countries some of these could work and with a little tweaking of the product even here you could make premium items that sell.
