Thanks for the flashback man....Hard to believe it's been 30 years lol....We been friends on Facebook for a few years now and is how I found out about this video.....I love my 777VBK ....It's my first Jem I got in 2004 and been collecting a few lately. \m/
It still makes me chuckle when I see Tomas rock the Motorolla Razr flip phone, he has all the newest studio gadgets and tech and has the flip phone.. Love it.. I'm thinking he's got that to be humorous but even if not.. I dig it.
Loving this series. The opening jam was amazing, beautiful tone. Currently enjoying my Hall of Fame 2 reverb peddle for similar effects. Surely you have to do Universe's next 😊 I do want to hear all about the kiesels though, I've never had the chance to play one.
JEM 777VBK. I owned one myself. Beautiful guitar. I'm more partial to RG550's these days. I'd be interested in seeing a vid on your first (few?) Kiesel guitars and why they inspired you to endorse them. One of my other favorite players, Greg Howe, is also one of their artists. Great as always, McRocklin!
Very cool. I love those colors on that video. I would like to see you start with Gibsons next. I've had some cool Gibbys over the years. A recording LP, an LP studio lite with a schaller floyd. A LP type with a downward explorer headstock and Kayler trem, etc, a V, etc. I am currently in Love with my crackle Charvel from Japan made by I believe Cushin Gakki kn 1990. It has the best crackle finish. Orange crackle on black background. Again, a schaller trem, and reverse pointy headstock. Such cool 80s guitars. May I ask if you're using either an AxeFx and or an Eventide with the intro music? Thanks for bringing value to my life.
Hi Thomas, another great video. Nice Ibanez. My favourite remains the Foloral Pattern one. For your next video how about the Mac Alpine guitar I saw in the background on of your videos? Cheers.
I wish I could post a pic (the link is huge) of my Steinberger Spirit with it's multi colored pickups, mounting rings, knobs and switch cap. Where's the "Goin' Crazy" flame guitar?
Well I was wrong, One flew over the Cuckoo's nest is great movie though. I dig the way you rev your pic hand up when you do fast staccato runs, you are an amazing player!
Awesome video, I'm certifiable Jemaholic they are amazing guitars. If I had to guess I'd say it was Crossroads playing on that little TV but I don't know, I'm watching this on a tiny screen right now.
Lovely intro!, could you please describe what you used for the sweeping sound from 1:00 to 1:12 ? I left some questions on your video about your signal chain, hopefully you can still answer there too, Thanks!
What’s the song at the beggining? i am quite new here but I got completely glued watching the video after the demo at the beginning. What a guitar player McRocklin is man. I’ve watched two or three videos and I am amazed. Btw you’re a legend for cutting vai’s guitar 😂😂😂
I also would like to know what pickups are in that Jem (they don't seem to be the original Paf Pro). @McRocklin, please tell us about the pickups in your Jem.
6:40 As a Geordie, this section absolutely killed me And yea, lead solder was still a thing. It's actually often favoured because it just flows better and doesn't crack as easily down the line Source: electronics guy
Very funny history about the toy helicopter hahaha I remember having one. but who paid for the damage of that lethal weapon? Hahahaha That Jem looks great. it has a beautiful tree of life. 30 years are nothing. you flew so far to take just a few photos. amazing and great for a child. Congratulations. i love these videos.
The airport security where suspicious not because of the pedals but your passport said you are English and he couldn’t understand what language you were speaking 🤣😂🤣 I had a grandfather with a heavy Geordie accent 😂
the airport police thought they found a child trafficking pedals. these things always happen at airports. When I traveled to Chile a few years ago at the airport in my own country, they wanted to confiscate my Ibanez for not declaring it in my luggage to avoid paying a tax, which according to our legislation I should not pay because it was used. Customs police seem to be envious ...
I guessed that whatever is on the TV is probably Jack Nicholson. Not sure why I guessed that. But it turns out I was right. Because, the movie explained at 05:00 has him as the main star.. maybe one of his early roles that put him on the map as an insane character..
I have an old Ibanez with a floral arrangement and a crane on the lower horn. No one can ID it. It has no serial number. Can you help me or know someone that can?
The pink LPC what year is it ? Found an old guitar player magazine today in the attic with Randy Rhoads on the cover think it’s from 87-88 and it had an ad for a Pink LPC ,
Can you please please reveal the name of that guitarist who yelled at you when you were young ...?? You mentioned about it in your previous video about zakk wylde???? Please reveal the name
Did they get Auf Weidershen Pet in the USA? I have to still translate what Jimmy Nail says too my friends as my Mother is a Geordie! Anyway Newcastle Brown Ale is the GREATEST beverage in the universe!!
That Pink Les Paul in the back ground is what Gibson called The Les Paul Lite. They only made them for a short time in the early 90's. Your is prob. a 1993 model. How far off am I?
The Flame Guitar! Rumor had it that it was stolen from Steve years ago, but then I saw the video you did a while back and saw that YOU had it. I was so relieved! I hate thieves, I hate guitar thieves. I had my very fist guitar, a hot pink Kramer, stolen from me when I was a kid, so when I saw you had the Flame guitar I was pretty excited
One of the 3 Flame guitars was hanging in the Hard Rock Cafe in Honolulu when I went around 12 years ago. They had a Nuno Bettencourt guitar hanging next to it.
I'd love to hear WHY you and steve don't collaborate now days? You're still an amazing guitarist and would think he'd be into that. Unless he's afraid you'd destroy one of his new Pia guitars..lol
@@McRocklin Awesome. Honestly one of my first guitar heroes. Slash my first behind my pawpaw. My style is more SRV, so there's the reason behind the question. These stories behind the scenes are absolutely priceless. Fantastic videos going through all your Jem guitars.

its the new touch screen one, it actually kinda sucks for the price, mid-tier specs for high-end price
I've still got my Rzr somewhere , haven't used it for many many moons though !
When I see Jems I think of McRocklin as much as Steve to be honest...Id Love for you to breakdown and take us through your history with kiesel👍🤘

I’d like to ask, are you intouch with Steve Vai now, would you guys collaborate - great playing!
Vai doesn't even follow him on Instagram, or reply to any of his posts where he's tagged Vai. I'm assuming something happened between them
