Our Pekingese was named Sophie, a boring name but we actually didn’t name her, she was previously owned by my grandma’s friend but very quickly after she bought her had to let her go because she found she didn’t have time for the dog. She was a wonderful dog. Loyal, not super needy, sweet, loved stuffed animals, loved food, calm, just a great dog. We got her when I was a teenager. Never had a small dog before, but I loved her very quickly. I think they’re great family dogs for people with older kids. They’re very cute too, give them the puppy cut hairstyle and everyone will always think they’re a puppy. Sophie was 13 years old and everyone still thought she was a little puppy. Their coat is so beautiful.
I watch the Dog Show every year. Maybe not this particular one, but one of favorites is the pekinese. Everytime that dog walks, I have to say,"Get it. Work it. Sweep that floor!" 😂😂😂
Interesting that he mentioned the Pekingese looked like goldfish moving through the water... as goldfish is also a pet animal that the chinese first bred from mutated carps, man the chinese sure like to make funny looking pets lol

all show dogs eat the best kind of foods most homemade with real chicken and vegetables. Which most pet owners don't put that kind of care into there pets and feed them regular supermarket dog food
Apart from the peke, the rest of the dogs were dragged around, almost hung, as they were walked. I had a peke for many years. A truly beautiful friend......but he would not tolerate being dragged, or pushed, or..... An obstinate little creature!
Imagine someone pushing your nose into your head. and squeezes all the airways together. the hair on your head grows and eventually covers your entire body, making it impossible for you to walk. The dog had to sit on a cooling plate for a while because otherwise it would have been cooked. do you think that's nice?

I had a pekingese that looked similar to Wasabi, but not as fluffy. She was so beautiful, and had a wonderful personality!
i had 2 others and now I'm on my 3rd and LOVE her to pieces! They're the BEST dogs you can ever get!

Every peke I’ve met has lived past 15! Same with shih tzus…I wonder if it’s the ancient Chinese genes or something!

I use to watch it on USA network, but got rid of cable. The next day is on cell. The sporting, work. , ter. ,bis, was on Fox 13 here in Tampa , Fla
