Thank you for this great video...from another Canadian. In June this year 2024, I started a policy of leaving NOTHING...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...EVER...on the kitchen and bathroom counters. Everything has to be put away. It was not easy at first, but now, we don't even think about it. The counters are always clear and easy to wipe down. I made extra room in the cabinets by getting rid of things I didn't need. In September I started another policy of never putting anything on top of any shelving. I keep my knick knacks on shelves, but not on the top. This makes dusting a charm and the house feels more peaceful. Thanks again for your inspiration and motivation. I think we all need videos like this to keep ourselves on track.
@@strawberrymoonhomestead3692 I should have added I'm 75 and there's no way on earth I could have had clear counter tops when I was raising a family. But as we get on in years, something has to be done to make housework easier. Your tips were wonderful and I love that steamer thing.
Thank you for keeping this real! I love when you said watching videos of cleaning a clean house, not cool. 😂 have you tried using your steamer on the stove top and oven? Might help get off some stubborn spots. Nice to follow another Canadian 👍 Take good care! 😊
@strawberrymoonhomestead3692 I just ordered a steamer for black Friday deals. Thanks for the inspiration 🙏 I also have adhd/autism and chronic illness to go along with that, so every little helper I can get my hands on is very helpful.
@ShannonLivesey amazing! I hope it helps. I hear you. I also have an autoimmune disease. Keeping up with everything can be hard but little tools like that can make things a bit easier.
Thank you for such a realistic home cleaning routine. It was a joy to watch. You have done a hell of a lot and should be super proud of yourself. Thank you for showing that wee steam cleaner in action..I have been deliberating for ages to get one myself. I might finally put my cleaning tooth brushes to rest. Greetings from my 3 dogs, I know what you are against it. ❤
Thanks for showing a realistic dirty house that’s lived in. Just like mine. You did an amazing job cleaning it. I hate cleaning but it is so satisfying when done 😊
As a fellow Canadian and cat owner I can appreciate the pet hair and sweeping. I just discovered micro cloths and I use them for everything, cleaning, dishes, etc. I always wear gloves because when I clean I use very hot water. That Bar Keepers Friend is the best stuff ever invented! I love it and can get it at my local Dollarama which saves me a lot of money.
We have to large long haired cats that shed balls of fur everywhere. We also have a small papillon. She is my darling little girl. She goes to the groomer every 3 months and doesn’t really shed. Love the steamer. I will have to get one soon. I also have put a narrow cabinet in my bathroom and no longer have things except soap in a cute dish to hold a bar of soap. Looks so much better.❤
Fellow homeschooling/SAHM and I suggest 10 minute cleans. They are a game changer! I set a timer and dedicate 10 minutes to each room. You'd be surprised how much you can tidy in an hour using this method. It also kind of makes it like a game, challenging yourself to get as much done as you can. Anyway, friendly suggestion. LOVE your content
