Rendering is to show what it look. you can have reference image for showing the scale. for example ring on a hand or necklace on the neck. I also render top, front, side view and add the dimension notation on it to show what exact size the model is.
Do you have any tutorials about how to make sure our files are ready for 3d printing? I managed to make a pieces using your tutorials and am about ready to send them to a printing house and then getting them molded and cast. I just want to be prepared. Thanks!!

I tried to follow your troubleshooting video for FlowAlong Surface issues, but it still hasn't resolved. Are there any steps that wouldn't be obvious to beginners like me that I may have missed ? @@spudnickel4279 without seeing your model, I cannot tell what went wrong. what kind of not working? doe it not flow or it flow in wrong direction or something else?
@@PJChenJewelryDesign it doesn't flow at all. Nothing happens after i click on the bangle to get the texture on it. I am not sure what is going on. it is probably a rookie mistake, but I just can't figure it out.
@@PJChenJewelryDesign I got it! It WAS a rookie mistake. I wasn't selecting the objects in the correct order. I didn't realize there were 3 steps in the flowalongsurface command and I was selecting the organic element along with the surface below it at the same time.
I change it thicker for demo purpose so student can see it better. You can change it at Option-View-Display Modes and depends on which mode you want to change. then go to the mode then pick object -curves
not sure if I get your question right. if you are asking how to find the naked edge. You can go to analyze the edge. it will show naked edges on your model.

Hi great video! How do you measure the ring, if it's the right size for the finger?
Most of the jewerly store has ring sizer. or you can use a strip of paper and wrap around the finger. The lengh will be the circonference of the ring.

i think you had Nearly tangent surfaces in those pipes its just guess but i bet if you made the pipes without caps it would have joined better

@@user-np5mo1io2y the boolean failed because the seams were aligned. You just need to move a little to avoid the seams being aligned.

yes, subD and grasshopper will be great option for this type of design as well.
