John. Your review are always good. Keep up the good work
It's nice to see a British machine.
The belt drive worked well when I tested the Engwe P275 auto.
Adding a manual gear change is a great idea.
It's such a smooth & quiet ride too
Another cracking video mate, very informative.
Definitely one I would consider.
Thanks John, that’s a cracking bike. All the very best to you both. 👍🚐🚐😎
Thanks 👍
Great review of Miriders latest bike looks the part with the new 24” wheels. Suits someone of your stature better rather than the 16” wheels. Already spent a fortune on two MiRider Ones which suits us and our van.
Thanks 👍
Great review and lots of help, Could be a purchase !
good vid on the ebike keep[ up the travel vid and all vids thanks
lee
Very neat, looks like another good option for campervans and motorhomes.
Definitely one to consider
Morning John, hope you and Mandy are well. This is a very clever idea. I like to bike especially in Orange. 👍
Yes it's a lovely colour
Very nice-looking bike 😊
I like it a lot John, its a great mix of build quality and innovation, plus that lovely orange and black paint job. For some reason the link to their site is down at the moment, so I'll be checking it out later. Thanks for a great review, and that glint in your eyes is clearly a sound recommendation that this is worth a look. Maybe with some offers on it at the spring NEC show might see me sat on one. Cheers, 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦
Not sure why the link isn’t working for everyone, I’ve checked at it’s working now and has had a lot of others click on it. If only technology was as reliable as this bike 🤷🏼♂️👍🏻🤦🏼♂️
Yep, its working now 🙂
Thank you 👍lovely looking bike , hope they do well . Well done 👍👍👍🏴🏴🇬🇧🇨🇦🦢
It reminds me of the Reise & Muller Tinker and it’s less than half the price.
Great review John thank you.
One question:
If no one was in your front passenger seat do you think it would be OK to travel with the bike between the front seat and the glove box with front wheel and saddle off? I have a Boxer van conversion.
Yes, absolutely, not this bike obviously, but we carried the folding Mirider in the way your describing.
Another great review John. Looks like MiRider hit the sweet spot! Nice one atb.
It does indeed 👍🏻

Oh yes, GJ and MiRider - a heavenly pairing! YAM xx
Oh yes!
Great Review John 👏
Thank you 😎
Thanks for a great review of a very good looking and well thought out 🇬🇧 ebike 👍
Yes it is more expensive than many of its chinese competitors, but you can see where the extra money has been spent - including the extended warranty.
Totally agree. The build quality is up there with the big brands.
Another great review and like how you showed how you can fit it in your van, nice.
Bit off topic but noticed the storage pockets on your rear doors. Don't suppose you'd have a link to them please.
Take care stay safe both of you❤️❤️
The shoe storage pockets are from Amazon, there’s a recent video showing the interior of my van & you’ll see all the places I use these pockets. amzn.to/4aSubAN
@@GadgetJohn thank you John I'll check that video out👍👍
Does it recharge whilst riding like evs
An informative review. I have two questions that I hope you can answer: 1) Would it cope with a 20° incline? 2) Is there some sort of walk assistance, for those occasions when a hill climb is too much for me?
It does have walk assist and it’d make it up a steep hill imho as I’ve ridden the smaller version up & over loads of mountains, including stelvio pass, but you’ve got to be peddling and putting in the power yourself to get the electrical assistance too.
@@GadgetJohn Thank you, John. I trust your honesty, so I will go for it.
That’s interesting. Will have to wait to get our new van but I find the mirider gb3 quite bulky to store whereas this is longer and thinner which might suit better. Am on the lookout for a second bike and do fancy the larger wheels. How did this compare with the bike you reviewed for Mandy which was £750 odd quid with slightly larger wheels? I’m also on the lookout for one I can fit the buddy rider on with the dog. You don’t happen to know the dimensions between the seat post and the handle bars do you?
We both found this far more stable with the 24 inch wheels. You'd have to ask mirider about the measurements as I returned the bike to them.
@@GadgetJohn that’s good to know. Will drop mirider a message thank yiu
Hi John, hope you both keep well? Now that's a cracking bike! curious how long it was with the wheel removed as that would be a great option for me if it fitted in my van!
I’m guessing if you take the overall measurements I gave in the video, you’d take off half the 24” wheel, so it’d be 12 inches shorter roughly. I don’t have the bike to measure it now.
Hi John. Hope all is well mate. Love this bike .I don't suppose you did a real time range test? Be interested to know wether it got anywhere near the claimed 65 miles
Due to weather & hospital time I only managed to clock up around 30 miles but the battery was only at 60% after that distance, so I'm confident you'd get 65 miles or more from the battery
@@GadgetJohn That's impressive for a 10ah battery. I barely get 25 miles from the 13ah I have in my Engwe L20. Love to Mandy and hope she's doing ok
Hi John, a couple of questions. How high is the space in your van ? Can the battery be charged with 12V adaptor ? Thanks Chris
I know they do a 12v charger for the small folding Mirider, not sure if that works on this new bike though.
Enjoyed the review, is the gates crank protected from stone chips?
The crank is open but on all the best drive bikes I've had there's never been an issue with mud, water, sand or stones on the belt
Thats very nice, just a bit on the pricey side. Ill have to stick with my Mirider one for now
I still love my Mirider one bought on your original recommendation, nothing has convinced me so far to change/upgrade
That’s the beauty of the new expanding product range, they’ll have a bike to match everyone’s needs & budget soon.
@@GadgetJohn I'm just glad you still rate them, with all the other bikes you've been reviewing lately and with you selling your originals, I thought you'd gone off them. Mine fits nice and snuggly folded in it's bag in my T6 VW Transporter on my double passenger's seat 👌
Can you get stablizers for this bike?
I think you can get them for any bike
Great review John. So is this why you sold those other e-bikes. Saving pennies for the new Mirider?
Saving all my pennies 😀
Nice bike , wondering now aboug the price! Will it be competitive or not. Anyway great review. ❤to you both x
There’s nothing exactly like it to compare against but if you compare spec & build quality it’s as good as the high end bikes I’ve had that are around £3k
DJ Audits seems to like his.
Hi John you know your old one of them bikes… that you and Manley had.. at the show. The fold up little ones… have you still got them?.. if so, would you like to sell them?…. Also, I hope Mandy is doing well. X
I haven’t, they were sold this past week. I put a post on my community tab here and a post on instagram too with which bikes were being sold.
If you want more off road, could you just swap out tires for nobbies?
Yes I’m assuming they’ll have tyre options soon.
£2000? imagine how many E bikes manufacturers would sell if their prices were reasonable? 2 months wages during a cost of living crisis.
Good review but sadly well out of my budget🙁 £3k is alot of money.
It’s a lot of bike too 👍🏻
