    I don’t know which one I prefer myself, maybe the small one because of weight, thanks for the review😊

    Brilliant review vlog John, really well presented. My only reservation about any bike costing into the thousands is where can you park it and expect it to be there when you return? Nipping into the shops where I live is a high risk gamble, where you wouldn't expect a good chain to keep any bike safe for long. But thats not to take anything away from the bikes. I think you chose well, and with good reason. Excellent avenue to expand the interest in the channel given there are so many vanlife vlogs out there just now. Onewards and beyond! (excuse the mixed metaphors). 👋

      I have the same concerns when I go shopping on my bike, but you can’t have “what if’s” rule your life. So I just do my best to secure my bike everywhere I go and need to leave it outside a shop.

    The ENGWE EP2 pro is such a badass bike! Though in the EU does not allow more than 250w. Stupid laws if you mind my opinion! 😉 Great review! Greetings from Greece!

    Thanks for the Great review, I’m looking to get an assisted bike and a bike rack for the van, which poses one question will the fat tyre mount on a bike rack.
    Cheers

    Thanks for such a comprehensive comparison John - nice job 👍
    So basically ALL are great bikes - but your choice is most likely to come down to how big your wallet is, and how small your storage space.😆
    I had been saving up for the Engwe, even before you got yours - based on a friends experience. But good to see that it has some stiff competition.
    So I think I will now hold off until next spring, to see what revised models come out - as Engwe in particular seems to frequently churn out new models.
    Which brings me on to my major QUESTION: What about spares and support for the chinese-made bikes ?
    - If something breaks or needs replacing in a couple of years, are you confident that you can source it ?
    - Obviously stock cycling items like tyres, brakes and sprockets are probably easy to get in the UK.
    - But what about bespoke batteries, controllers etc.?
    By contrast, from your videos at the MiRider factory, I doubt you would have any problems getting spare parts - which partly explains why their bikes are so much more expensive.

    • @GadgetJohn
      @GadgetJohn  10 місяців тому

      I think all the bikes have very common parts, you can buy spares for all the models shown very easily online. Cyrusher also has UK stores and a UK customer services.

    The Engue wins for me, although you should look at the Engue C20 Pro. All the benefits of the one you have, but it has a longer range, and it's about 10kg lighter and has slightly smaller tyres (still fat though)

      I was set for the engwe but then found they suffer with stress cracks on frame,plus cable brakes n crossbar pushed me to the cyrusher, enjoy your bike

    Off topic John.
    My question is about the Renogy battery charger.
    Is it still working well for you. My Ctek Smartpass has failed, and I need more than 20amp charge

    • @GadgetJohn
      @GadgetJohn  10 місяців тому +1

      I’m 5ft 10. I think it’s obvious from the video the issue is the high crank, such a shame they designed it that way.

    • @toddy505
      @toddy505 10 місяців тому

      i’m ok thanks to being 6’3” and rather lanky so no problem despite my dodgy knee, shame, i was looking forward to seeing you upgrading the brakes to hydraulic and other upgrades on the Engwe, keep up the good work John, have enjoyed this slight detour from the normal but always enjoy your campervan stuff as well.

      It doesn’t bother me as I use my legs for additional power, I just use the electric to set off and maybe a little assist up steep hills. So if I want to go fast I just pedal more.
