Love this vlog loki ❤. It's shows that we're all human and the challenges of being a content creator. That's mira would be an epic daily. And my ignis is becoming my daily nugget. Cheap fun cars are just great. Hope I get to ride shotgun with you in ebisu ❤. Keep up the amazing work loki. We all love you and your content. You will always have my 100% support. Xox
Real Vlog content is/was kinda suppose to be more frequent low edit, well YT rewards more frequent uploads to a point. I myself like to consider YT as a 2nd hobby, cars being my main. Tho I am not much of a vlogger but more of a reviewer/diyer, that vlogs here n there. It's A lot of work(much more than the ave YTer), to be-like / do-things-like the BIG Vloggers and why they have many people working for them. Still things are very different than when YT started. Don't know what I'd suggest for you to try, well nothing you'd not normally do! I have an associate that is competitive with me(he is with anything), he wants to make his channel bigger than mine(not that i have many subs). I keep telling him to not copy the big YTers and just make content he likes, treat it as a hobby and try to enjoy the process. Honestly the chances of ave people making it big, are not good these days. The algorithm favors young and superficial more n more, in a dwindling and more competitive environment. That losses ground to short form content platforms everyday. Sounds kinda doom n gloom but I like to be a realist and why i tell people, treat it like a hobby and enjoy making vids or maybe find another hobby you do enjoy. I could ramble on forever bout making vids but I'm far from an exert obviously 😜 GL and have Fun!
You have the right attitude! Its an inevitable downward spiral becoming a slave to an algorithm or constantly doing trends or trying to make everyone happy to gain shortlived attention, you lose yourself what you enjoy and why youve done it in the first place. Automotive and diy is a very niche and saturated market, its hard to grow but its rewarding to look back on what you've achieved and what makes you happy. Some people need the feeling of rivialry for motivation, others like yourself fly free and inspire and push those people. Keep doing what your doing too :) youtube is a huge long game. Longer you're active, the higher your chances of being found by your audience. Best of luck with your channel too! 😊🤙
@@LOKISX Well I mean don't do as they do.... within reason LOL can't say i haven't tried some of the stuff myself, in the past. But it's not like we already have a larger audience like them, so some things won't apply/work, is what i meant 😉
Speaking from firsthand experience: A bad lap is better than no laps at all. Every "bad" video you make is better than the hundred you didn't make. Otherwise you end up paralyzed because you realize you haven't uploaded in a year and now no video will be good enough to meet this imaginary "quality" bar you set for yourself. Your fans move on and forget about you and your work still impacts less people and brings less to the world than it would have if you had put in a bunch of bad laps. Your cars sit unfinished and your cat needs food so you're forced to work on other people's UA-cam channels, while yours sits collecting dust... Alright so maybe your experience won't be exactly like mine but I think you get my point haha. That's why I have recorded 300 podcast episodes in the last 6 years but still haven't put out a youtube video in over a year. Because I set the pressure too high for my car videos and it wasn't sustainable, from a mental standpoint. 200 hours editing a youtube Miata video is just fuckin dumb lol This advice isn't for everyone obviously, but I feel like it's the right thing for those of us who struggle with "quality" (we're just gonna ignore the fact that you are easily capable of putting out "quantity" at a higher quality than the average youtuber anyways.)
Feel this 100% You are correct. See people phase out alot from burn out or struggle with motivation, then this is like the opposite end of the spectrum. So many ideas but always getting caught on the smaller details or quality 😅. Youre right, at the end of the day gotta keep the momentum train rolling. 👊
Do whatever makes you happy, we will be here anyways!! much love!
I agree with you. I hate when a youtube uploads a 30-minute video of doing an oil change or putting on a steering wheel.
