does the battery upgrade help with level 3 charge speed, I have a 2012 leaf with its original 24kw battery, its so slow to charge, like it will go full rate (between 40-50kw) on an empty battery for a few minutes and then it rapidly drops down to the 20's, then the 10's, I know a 30kw leaf will charge at full speed until like 90% and I imagine a 40kw leaf is similar, at least when the battery isn't hot, does the 40kw battery pack charge like a 40kw leaf or still like its a 2012 24kw leaf?
It charges at 45 kw till 55% it then tapered to 35kw at 66% I stopped the charge at that point, this was on an average warm day, I haven’t tried multiple quick charges as the leaf is our city car
Your 2012 LEAF has a 24kWhour (kWh) battery pack. Don't forget the important unit of time otherwise you are describing rate. Second, your 2012 LEAF has 3300 watt or 3.3kW onboard charger. This charger determines the charge rate and speed of 120VAC and 240VAC charging or level 1 and 2, respectively. When you DC fast charge, it's an offboard charger and your battery controller determines charge rate and speed NOT the battery size (i.e. 24kWh VS 40kWh)

I have used a Dala battery upgrade can bridge in the original ZE0 (2010-2012) leaf and could not endorse it for a commercial install. There are too many bugs. The big bugs were 1. Fast charging causes fault codes that brick the car. I was stranded at the charger for a few minutes. Cycling the on/off button a few times did get me mobile, and Leafspy Pro cleared the codes 2. Charge bars scale poorly, and without a charge % (like AZE0 has) display it is mandatory to have leafspy running 3. SoH bars displayed 12 bars despite the battery being a 10 bar The EV's Enhanced is a much better option for ZE0 battery upgrades For AZE0 (2013 - 2017), the Dala can bridge works perfectly. I have a 2016 Leaf running a 62KWh battery and the conversion is flawless.

My understanding is that it needs to be purchased through a dealer in your country. Contact them and find out what the latest info is for where you are located.
Its great that you can do this conversion. But the fact that the pack will degrade even faster than the 24kwh makes it not worth it. Better to but an EV with effective battery cooling
