  • Are you ready for a midlife course correction? You can redefine yourself and choose a new path forward.
In this video, Brighton West interviews Chip Conley, one of the founders of the Modern Elders Academy. Located in gorgeous Baja California (and a second location in New Mexico), this academy is a hub for people in midlife to find spiritual, emotional, and physical fulfillment as they navigate their next phase of life.
Visit the Modern Elder Academy online: www.meawisdom.com/
And register for the workshop on Awe with Dacher Keltner: visitwebsite.co/Awe
Here three key steps you can take today to help find your new path:
1️⃣ The first half of your life is about accumulating, while the second half is about editing. Discover why it's essential to reassess and let go of what no longer serves you.
    2️⃣ Deeply discover your gift.
3️⃣ Cultivate Awe in your life.
Find out the power of asking nature, "What do you have to teach me?" and how connecting with nature can bring clarity.
Learn the importance of identifying what brings you energy and what drains you, and how to prioritize what truly matters to you.
Chip shares his personal experience with mindset shifts and how they can shape your journey towards fulfillment.
Fun Fact: Did you know that the Modern Elders Academy has welcomed over 3,500 people from 42 countries since its opening in 2018? 🌍 That's a global impact!
Remember, it's never too late to redefine your path and find fulfillment. Whether you're considering a move to Mexico or embarking on a new adventure closer to home, this video offers valuable guidance and inspiration.
If you've been feeling stuck or uncertain about your next steps, take a moment to reflect on what you've learned in this episode. Consider sharing your thoughts in the comments section and let us know how you plan to redefine your next direction. We can't wait to hear your stories and cheer you on!

Loved this interview, one of my favorites.
I agree with what you said about the families from different generations hanging out together and being happy, also one of my favorite things about México and also true about how divisive and judgy the US feels rn.
I really enjoyed all the things Chip said, it made it so much more special when he would talk about his SF experiences. I lived there for years and it has a special place in my heart.
Keep up with the great job 🎉

Another great video. Thank you for sharing! I am from Mexico, and I love seeing how other people from different countries think about this beautiful place, a lot of us take things for granted.

That's so true. I'm native to Wisconsin and spend summers in Oregon. It's easy to take places for granted when we are "from there." But possible to find awe anywhere!
Thanks for sharing Mexico with us!

I appreciate your video, just started following you. I lived in Vallarta and when I left, felt overwhelmed with sadness but I’m planning on moving back to the Yucatán shortly. Knowing that makes me feel happy to look forward to the move and even planning. I think I’m going through an “edit” so this video really was relatable.

Hey BW, that was really interesting and cool to hear. I LOVE that you're branching out into other areas, kinda existential, spiritual, thought provoking, whatever you wanna call it. Needed to hear this, as I'm feeling stuck and searching for purpose in my mid life. Didn't like Queretaro but doing an 8 day tour in Guanajuato and surrounding area in February. I feel my heart and soul are in Mexico, like you, I just need to figure out what part I belong in. Thanks again, enjoyed it. 😊

WE YES WE love the tropical vibe there. Green is good (in nature not in the furniture or on the walls lol). Pam is a retired English teacher, loves to put on Shakespearian plays, before you moan some with a twist. I'm a retired asphalt pilot that likes to tinker. Carpentry, Driving, Mechanical, Welding and the 1 I'd like to drop, cutting grass. We love nature. Just outside we have deer that visit day and night. Eagles and Osprey that fly and fish all the time. Otters and Seals have a favorite island just offshore and yes (Brighton) humming birds as well. I guess I'm saying we have a path. We just need to sell off here when we can and live a little. So.... Another good one Mr. B. P n D

Sounds great, but why aren't low income people or the homeless population entitled to have a program to help them get through their midlife crisis? Only wealthy people who can afford to pay are entitled to these workshops? Financial aid is what? A loan that people still have to pay off with money they might not have?

    • @ModernElderAcademy
      @ModernElderAcademy 9 місяців тому +2

hi @resmith18SR Thanks for asking. At MEA, we care deeply about personal growth and education for all regardless of economic status and offer generous financial aid foremost of our workshops.
Financial Aid is not a loan that someone has to pay back.
      We offer two options:
      1) Gold: Participants are responsible for $3,000 tuition (50% of full workshop tuition) and their travel costs.
      2) Platinum: Participants are responsible for only $500 tuition (only 8% of full workshop tuition) and their travel costs.
Our entire society is made stronger when everyone has the opportunity to learn, participate, and grow, regardless of economic status. MEA is committed to supporting personal growth and educational programming for all.
