How chunky is that neck? Does it fill up your hand or is it flat on the back for “shredding”?
1st thing I would do is add a push/push for series/parallel and a phase. So you can run any combo in parallel or series including all 3… The S1 only does parallel. You can flip that into series… And smash the front of your amp. Easy and cheap mod anyone can do.

I am deciding weather to purchase the Texas Tea finish or the Ultraburst in HSS. Both are on order through sweetwater and will/may arrive from Fender sometime "this year". With their lay offs in Corona, delivery is up in the air these days. Hopefully production Quality will not be a problem. I've heard about possible scratching of the pick guard on the Texas Tea model. Thoughts please. Thanks

I haven't encountered any scratches Pickguards on these models. The Texas Tea comes with an anodized aluminum pickguard which I have never had an issue with scratching. As far as quality control, I'm not sure. I know that Fender's quality control has not been as thorough lately in that I have encountered some issues with some new instruments of theirs...things like truss rod issues on Affinity and Squier guitars, neck pocket finish cracks, the occasional neck warp issue. My best advice is to buy one from a place that has a good return policy and make sure to inspect the guitar carefully when you receive it.
