    • @WalmartTom
      @WalmartTom 3 роки тому

      @Hazmat Couture What he means with the "pickguard issue on the texas tea ultra" is that for some people the aluminum pickguard caused a lot of noise.

    • @joseph9226
      @joseph9226 Рік тому

      The issue Ayidn h, is asking about some players say when your fingernails touch the pick guard it feels like rubbing your nails across a chalkboard.
      I bought this guitar three weeks ago and have not experienced any issues with the pick
      guard. Pick guard is made of material that leave no scratches or fingerprints.

    Absolutely PHENOMENAL playing, Adam! Your skill and technique is admirable and enviable! Thanks for letting the guitar speak!
    I‘ve been playing since the mid-late 1970’s and, last week, purchased my first Fender guitar, ever! The same one you Demo’d - the American Ultra Stratocaster in Texas Tea (SSS). This is an incredible instrument at a GREAT price (and this is coming from a Gibson owner of 14 models ranging from 1965 to 2017).
    Right out of the shipping carton and case (I purchased mine in-store from my local “super dealer” on the East coast), this Strat was set up almost perfectly for me. Low action, in tune and a Tremolo that doesn’t cause the tuning to go out of whack!. There isn’t a single cosmetic flaw on this guitar. I’ll need to change my playing mechanics, though, as I’m one of those lazy “bridge-palmer”-type players who rests the side of his palm on the bridge.
    I often frowned upon Fender guitars, not from a “cork sniffer’s” perspective, but rather, due to their bolt-on necks, which I equated with “tuning instability”. I’ve always liked the sound of the Stratocaster, though. Hendrix, Uli Jon Roth and blues players too numerous to count (SRV, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Popa Chubby, et al). My experience and opinion, thus far, is that this is an excellent sounding, playing and looking guitar.
    I’d go so far as to say to anyone eyeing one of the American Ultra Stratocaster / series of guitars but find yourself a few hundred $ short, save for an additional few months. They can be had for several hundred $ below list / RRP (no one pays list $!) and it’ll probably be worth it in terms of greater longevity of quality parts and pure playing enjoyment. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Gibson SG’s, LP’s, Flying V’s and my Jackson DK2QM, but the sheer beauty of the Texas Tea, vintage tinted neck, anodized gold colored pick guard, sound and playability of the new Ultra make this a keeper!

    • @cornermusic5057

      Texas Tea does refer to the body color. It's a very dark green that looks black in most light. Take a look at our pictures on our website for a more detailed look at the color. cornermusic.com/Fender-American-Ultra-Stratocaster-Texas-Tea-Maple.html

    • @chasedelao4722

      It is very dark green, but Texas tea is also referred too as oil which is black

    • @somebodyelseuk
      @somebodyelseuk Рік тому

      The Texas Tea refers to the body colour. It's black with metal filings in it which gives the same effect you see when you drain the sump of a car engine. They were hardly going to call it 'Old Engine Oil', though, were they?

    Guitars like fine wine, it's about what feel and sounds good to you. you can modify your Strat to accommodate your likes and dislikes. could be a disaster for another artist. go to your guitar store try your instrument and make your decision based on what you like and dislike. stay away from bias opinion videos because you may end up with someone else instrument / sound and not your own.

      Stainless steel frets are not needed for fender strats , save that for the metal / fast playing guitars, strats are all about tone

      @@egoandy1188 Smh, some of you still don't, and will never get it. If you play this guitar alot, the frets CAN be annoyingly worn within just 2 years. I know because I've had many guitars with nickel frets that I played a bunch that have done this. If you're not personally "cool" with a guitar technician who knows what he's doing, refrets can cost up to like $500, maybe more if the tech wants to be a dick. That's alot of fking extra money to put on a guitar; when a company with enough resources like Fender could've simply tagged on an extra $100 max to the price tag, and put on frets that'll never wear to begin with. I've been playing a guitar with Stainless Steel frets a TON for the past year and a half that I've had it, and there's not even a smidgen of fret wear on it. Oh, and the tone is great to boot. Just try to see both sides of the coin here please.

    • @egoandy1188
      @egoandy1188 3 роки тому +1

      ATX0705 I liked your post & agree with it . Thanks for sharing that , I do honestly agree with you . Me I’m just stupid & say to myself well the tone might not be the same because I want to sound like my heroes , so my idiot self pays the hundreds every 3-4 years , my main one - every year & half .

    • @ATX0705
      @ATX0705 3 роки тому

      @@egoandy1188 Thanks for the like, and likewise! I should also note for the record that I LOVE Fender guitars, and always have; but they should really offer guitars with SS frets, and not get greedy and use that as an opportunity to charge an arm and a leg for it. And as for the wear on your guitars, trust me, I feel your pain. It's why I've been so pro stainless steel frets the last few years after not paying attention to it so much early on (From just being less discerning overall). Refrets are just an expensive hassle for the common consumer to have to go through.
