I guess him being small like how people shrink in height from aging explains why he's small in the first stage. Definitely the tone of a war veteran against the zombies in the first game.
That's not a good thing, it makes it absurdly broken when pairing it with its cloning ability. Then again, this is a game where Pokra and Explode-O-Nut is a thing.
This plant won't be put for ages so they still have a lot of time to tweak certain things, like making the plant explode and kill the zombies instantly
Let me tell you about something called spores. Spores are little seeds that mushrooms produce to reproduce themselves. When a mushroom is ready for reproduction, they emit millions of spores that burst out of it and fall to the ground. After a while, these spores become other mushrooms. So, when Doom Shroom explodes, it means that it's reproducing itself. So that's the reason it clones. It's just spores that grew into more Doom Shrooms.

There clearly are still some textures and descriptions missing and as such it's not truly 100% finished but for the rest I am satisfied. I realized that these aren't craters but rather just the scorched tiles from the Meteor Flower
If only they at least would give a screen shake effect for the blast and a screen flash (you got shadow peashooters pf shake and then iceberg lettuce's freeze flash or any plant that has it) when the release happens, then it would be nice but there's a very low chance that it might happen since the team at this time isn't at the best at putting more effort to these released plants and animations, but this is only official gameplay so not everything is all there yet, what I see in this video, the blast seems so meh, not enough where it's an "actual explosion" comparing to pvz1's doom shroom sorry.... this should not be this long but my own opinions before the release for the game and its new plants

Why do I feel that the last few plants in PvZ 2 (starting from buttercup) have a worse animation quality than usaual? and to be honest, I don't really know why they aren't as good. It really makes the plants feel stiff and fake, and doesn't make me like them very much, and I hope I'm not alone of that. i think they wont fix it cuz most people who worked on pvz2 left or just moved on to pvz3. Doomshroom is like the more powercrept version of bombegranate which is on it's own the powercrept version of cherrybomb. This update gonna make cherrybomb useless. Also I think they should add a spore effect where the spores spread to part of the field and also make the explosion more violent looking like shaking screen and whiten everything for a brief moment. Also the plant food is too busted maybe I think the devs should make it blow up all doomshrooms in a 3x3 Area and with all said above they should raise the price to like 350-500 sun

It's still not out yet officially, this is a beta gameplay. The description in the almanac is still being worked on along with the REAL official gameplay mechanics of Doom-shroom. Oh, and like Ice-shroom, who was originally an instant use? Doom-shroom is also changed like how he acts in PVZ:GW, he comes back from the pot he was planted in after he finishes attacking and blowing up zombies, which explains the cloning, I assume the spores travel from the blast.

at this point, popcap or EA should just resort to stealing pvz2c content and adding it to international. all we cared for in pvz2 were the new worlds and bosses while all they do is make too many mid arena plants
Doomshroom is like the more powercrept version of bombegranate which is on it's own the powercrept version of cherrybomb. This update gonna make cherrybomb useless.
Also I think they should add a spore effect where the spores spread to part of the field and also make the explosion more violent looking like shaking screen and whiten everything for a brief moment. Also the plant food is too busted maybe I think the devs should make it blow up all doomshrooms in a 3x3 Area and with all said above they should raise the price to like 350-500 sun
Honestly 550 would probably be needed, the fact that it's basically primal potato but constantly activating it's plant food is so dumb

It's still not out yet officially, this is a beta gameplay. The description in the almanac is still being worked on along with the REAL official gameplay mechanics of Doom-shroom. Oh, and like Ice-shroom, who was originally an instant use? Doom-shroom is also changed like how he acts in PVZ:GW, he comes back from the pot he was planted in after he finishes attacking and blowing up zombies, which explains the cloning, I assume the spores travel from the blast.
