  • On September 19, 2023, Cuyahoga Falls Police received a call from an employee of a local pizza shop who stated that an employee was drunk and just got in her vehicle and drove off. Officer Grove located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The 34-year-old woman claimed she was driving to pick up her child from day care and initially denied consuming any alcohol. She gave consent to search her purse, which revealed empty alcohol bottles. After performing field sobriety tests (FSTs), the woman was arrested for DUI. A search of her vehicle yielded additional bottles of partially consumed alcohol. Court records indicate her breath alcohol level was a staggering 0.297% BAC. Her case is still pending in court. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

She's obviously an addict. But the way this officer treated her was beyond kind. He even gave her the benefit of the doubt multiple times. Props to him.

How? I mean she was compliant and for the sake of her son, he allowed her to contact the dad, otherwise, I don't see where she received any other benefit. He knew she was drunk, he tested her, and he arrested her. Run-of-the-mill policy based on his observations so I'm not sure where the "benefit of the doubt" comes into play here.

I don’t know, I thought he was incredibly kind to her. I mean it must be hard to deal with intoxicated people because you know what damage they can do. But at the same time he’s trying to treat it like a human being, and I think the officer was a very kind inconsiderate gentleman.

I never give LEOs any kudos because even if one commits no misconduct, they enable it by standing by and doing nothing while their comrades engage in it BUT I gotta give this officer his props. People are emboldened when they see people REPEATEDLY getting caught, but when it's all said & done the charges end up getting reduced or dismissed entirely! I never realized just how bad the justice system has become when it comes to DWI/DUI/OVI. I swear, at the end of almost every single one of these videos, if it includes the list of charges, the majority of the time they either dismiss or reduce them. And i can tell you that when it comes to addicts (be it drugs, alcohol, or both), holding us accountable for our actions is CRUCIAL, if we are going to begin &/or become successful in recovery.

You think maybe she got fired because she showed up to work hammered?

… took a lot of breaks in her car, and became more hammered as her shift rolled on?

We rode the bus back in the 70's . Today, parents are backed up into the road to pick their children up.
I was wondering what those parents do all day.

Cop- "Have you ever used drugs?"
    Woman- "no."
Cop- "are you taking prescription meds?"
    Woman- "I'm prescribed Suboxone."
    Me- "🙄"
I'm not jugding for the Suboxone or prior/current drug usage. I just don't understand why people lie if they're on Suboxone or Methadone about past drug useage. Everyone knows what they are for and knows it means you're getting help so don't lie. Getting help for a disease isn't bad, it shows you are trying.

She did much better than she should have with a BAL that high. She has clearly just traded one addiction for another. I hope she gets some help for her child's sake.

If she had shown up at the school like that it would have been a lot worse.

Not sure what the point of being on suboxone to treat addiction is if you are abusing alcohol. And the fact that someone could be that drunk and pick up their child in that state. CPS should be involved in these cases and she shouldn't be trusted to watch her kid until she is clean and sober. Disgusting behaviour

I'm no sexist, far from it, but why in hell are Mothers, whom are supposed to the best parent drinking alcohol when their children in tow, whether picking up/driving or dropping off!!!!
It's high time the Courts shelled out heavier sentences to get the dam message across NO MEANS NO!!!!🤬👎
    P.S, Don't think she'll be getting a 'Marco's Pizza' where she going, 😂😊😅
