Dude, the TV settings is a subset of the issues that cause the TV being turned off. What about the hardware issues associated with such problems? Also, the quickness of the problem does not allow access to the TV settings.
Hi @anthonysanchez4503 Sir! You’re right, hardware issues can also cause an LG Smart TV to turn off by itself. Here are some hardware-related troubleshooting tips: 1. Check power supply: Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to both the TV and the power outlet. Try using a different power outlet and cable, if possible. 2. Check for overheating: Overheating can cause your TV to shut down as a safety measure. Make sure the TV has proper ventilation and isn't exposed to direct sunlight. Clean any dust or debris around the TV's vents to improve airflow. 3. Check for faulty components: A malfunctioning main board, power board, or other internal components could cause the TV to turn off randomly. In this case, contact LG customer support or a professional repair service for assistance. 4. Perform a hard reset: Unplug the TV from the power source, press and hold the power button on the TV for about 15 seconds, and then release it. Plug the TV back in and turn it on. This may resolve any temporary software glitches causing the issue. If you're unable to access the TV settings due to the quick shutdowns, try connecting an external device like a computer or smartphone using the ThinQ app. This might allow you to adjust settings and check for firmware updates. If these tips don't resolve the issue, consider contacting LG customer support or a professional TV repair service for further assistance. Good luck!☺️
All - I am having the same issue and I KNOW it started after I updated the software. I know this because I only use the TV (LG G2) as a display to my computer, after updating, it runs for about 2 hours, then shuts off within a minute of trying to turn it back on. I also wonder if it is a heat issue. This is really ridiculous to have settings like this.
@@Fix.369 - thanks, I tried this, but it still didn't work. The power supply board needs to be replaced or fix. I think the caps went bad. Plus it's 8 years old, so I ended up buying a bigger OLED set at the end. Thanks for the reply!
Iqbal Bro, I’m sorry to hear that the steps in the video didn't help resolve the issue. It's possible that there may be a more serious problem with your TV, such as a hardware issue. Have you tried contacting LG customer support? They may be able to provide further assistance or troubleshooting steps.☺️
💯% agree, mine started after about two years. Turns off every 15 minutes or so and then goes threw a 1/2 hour reboot process. During this process I can't do anything with it and if I unplug it and then back in, the reboot starts over.
