Today, we install a Volant Cold Air Intake on my CTS! Why? -MPG Gains -Power + Torque Gains -Intake noise gain It was tedious, but it was worth it all in the end!
Yo this is sick, I have a '04, and plan on doing this intake now but I have to ask, what do you have going on exhaust-wise? Your CTS sounds really good
@@KSShel I got a tuned/modded ats but I'm always jealous of how good the CTS sounds and that bigger body lol I'll be looking out for the post tune up vid in the future 👍🏻💪🏻
@@KSShel ZZPERFORMANCE. Just the stage one. Next will be their stage 2 which is intercooler and exhaust then trading out stock turbo for their big wheel turbo. Then another tune lol
Yo bro I have the exact same intake for my 06 cts 3.6 with muffler delete it definitely woke the car up . one problem though is my shit redlines to like 7k rpm instead of 6200k rpm are u having this same problem ?
7K is where the limiter is at, so you’re likely just getting more power towards the limiter than factory. Maybe it’s affecting shift points on the car, not really sure.
@@KSShel alright update! While installing the Volant Intake, I had trouble screwing in the Mass Air Flow Sensor into the Intake Box. I still am struggling. Any tips?
@zeddy mcdog It wasn’t a factory item, I actually had pulled it from an SRX. Before, my engine mounts were old and it was only fitting due to the fact that my engine mounts were that old. The new ones (OE Spec) had the engine sitting higher compared to the old ones. Because of that, I had to remove it because it would no longer clearing the intake manifold. I appreciate the concern though! I’ll eventually get a proper one that will clear the IM in the future.
@@clappingbuns2239 Power Steering and Coolant leaks. When the power steering system leaks, I suggest going for a full rebuild which includes the power steering pump, rack and pinion, any leaky lines. Coolant leak was due to my radiator cracking because of a mechanic. Fix the power steering system if it leaks though ASAP, I had paid over $800 to get it fixed! I believe that it would work with a little elbow grease. I own a 3.6 which does have a different setup compared to a 3.2, but people have managed to run Volants and K&Ns without some issues. www.cadillacforums.com/threads/comments-on-k-n-intake-for-3-2l-03-cts.87659/ I found this though!
Should've been that way from the factory.
I have a 2.8 and I must say, for a smaller V6 that thing can fly! Seriously tho, V6 isn't weak.
That’s for sure!
Bro what is that clicking sound. Mine does the same
It’s the purge vent valve
@@legomydego is it supposed to click like that. I have seen a few of these and they all click thus way

Thank you! I only have a muffler delete, but from the Axles back, it’s 2 1/4 compared to the factory 1 5/8s.
Thanks I’m trying it!!!
Did you post your car in the cts group post pictures
🫡
Will this part work for the 2007 3.6L cts?
Yup. My CTS is an 07 3.6 as well.
No real gains without a tune🤷🏻♂️
Don’t worry, she’ll be tuned next year. 👌

A tune will definitely help out, wishing for the best for ya!
What exaust you got in it ?
In this video, I had only a muffler delete! I have a whole new setup now. 😅
I want this for my 05cts 3.6🔥
You can buy this on the Volant site! Probably one of the best bang for buck mods you can do imo!
Sounds nice man !! Congrats
Thanks!! It really woke up the CTS! Just gotta solve the trouble codes and get some other stuff done. Stay tuned!

What's the ticking noise
Purge Valve Solenoid. Once it starts failing, it starts ticking like that. I changed it out off-camera.
@@KSShel I have that same clicking. How did u change it?

What’s the bar over the intake manifold?
That was my strut bar. I had to get rid of it because it wouldn’t sit properly with the new engine mounts. Was waaaay too low.

Where did u get the volant cold air intake from?
Straight from Volant themselves. It will say 04-06, but it’ll fit on the 07 just as normal.
What's the ticking nose
It was a failing/failed Purge Valve Solenoid. I replaced it while the camera was off. Quick and easy to fix!

The stock MAF sensor will connect to it like normal without any modification.
