I think it is a very good reel for beginners to start with bait casting. So as a beginner I seriously don’t think we will go for super light lines and light lures. Most probably play from 5-12g lures and lines. It will definitely help a beginner get started and get acquainted with BC reels. It doesn’t break the wallet and if the angler does not like the reel, he/she can just leave it in a corner to rot 😆
Am looking into getting my first BC reel. Never tried BC before, a bit scary to want to invest into it. But this review is so solid man, especially with that price tag, a bit hard not to try now hahaha. Keep it up! Wanna see more reviews from you! Thank you so much for this! P.S - love your royal belum video!
@@roborovski008 would recommend the shimano bass one XT because it is saltwater approved. A big disclaimer would be that I’ve never used that reel😂 but breakwater and mangrove fishing shouldn’t be too taxing unless you’re crank bait fishing for groupers by the breakers (but the reel should still do ok). Most of the time, the durability of the reel also depends on how the angler takes care of it. Rinsing your tackle thoroughly after a saltwater fishing session is extremely important!
@@roborovski008 dude I'm using bass one xt and I'm loving it,prefer it more than slx, braking system is awesome, cast 7g jig as far as 10m imagine 10g.just my 2 cent though.
Nice, I've bot a cmi bc from shopee which costs me $20++sgd. I've tried since I've not tried any bc in my entire fishing life...lol. its so difficult to cast n seriously tried practicing on my own still cmi. Maybe the one u suggested might do the trick to entice me to start trying out bc again...lol. thks for ur reviews, greatly appreciated.
Had the same problem in the past too 😓 you get what you pay for! I feel that this reel really outperforms its price and is a usable bc reel for sure :) hope you get back to baitcasting!
I'll sure try since bait casting looks fun to me...;) and moreover the real is at an affordable price and the review by u is so convincingly good...lol
When it comes to baitcasting, the cheaper the reel, the less beginner friendly it is. Do yourself a favor budget a decent amount otherwise you just end up with a paper weight
I bought one and broke down after a few casts. I also bought a $89 Eupro made in MY and it sucks too. There on I never trust and buy any reel below $150.

Thank you! Will do!
Is this really Daiwa? It’s made in China right? I see it says “Made in China” underneath. Great video.
Yes it’s still Daiwa! They have factories from all over the world. The higher tier models will be from japan.
How do you get it in that color?

This is true. However, entry level reels are definitely great for beginners who wouldn’t want to overcommit on an overly priced baitcasting reel!
