All Races of Criminals and Gangs do this. Most youths involve themselves in gangs around their area for protection if they wan't to make money illegally without being taxed, robbed or attacked for selling on gang territory. And youth these days volunteer to run drugs for gangs and go out to the countryside to control rackets, In the need for money.Youth are also known for willingly going to these places and then robbing gang members or withdrawing the money they make for the gang and keeping it all for themselves.

It's irrelevant whether the video is fake. That is sorely missing the point. This is how the cycle works - in all gangs from all backgrounds. It's a system that works but only for those at the top. Why do you think fucking Pyramid Selling got so popular? It's the same system. If you're in early you make bank as you feed a pack of lies about a lifestyle to the groups you create below you. And they do the same thing....rinse, wash, repeat...
Totally irrelevant whether it's "Fake". That's just a red herring

This video has changed my perception. Its sad on both sides really, most of those youths that are doing the stabbings and bashings dont understand how traumatized they are, i live in AUS but there are very similar scenarios, i have met many boys and men like them, real dangerous guys and young 13-15 yea olds that have either small razor like knives or bowies tucked when they go out, and they act like they dont give a fuck and will fuck anyone up who fucks with them, but if you see these guys on a day to day, they loose their social skills, cannot sit still, if there is a sudden "woosh" kind of noise or a bang/thud you can see them flip inside and go on alert mode or walking past spaces checking for all the possiboy entry/exit points so many show signs of PTSD.. and being someone myself who was in rough situations at those ages and younger, it can trap you in because soon all you think is who is next to try to kill you, and then you find some guys that you can hang with and do drugs with etc.... and you know they will be loyal and brave for you if they can expect the same and when your hanging with 5 of them, you feel stronger, like nothing will stop you and that power is insane for a teenager to handle. Or anyone really.. sorry for the rant, but your attitude touched me on this one.. i try to always be polite and honest, i got away from all the shit and started thinking about what is life/living/existing actually, i think they need help learning that they have value and so do other people.
I have ptsd from some shit and if something sets me off into that somewhat confused but hyper aware state i don't care that you are a person with family, you are the enemy if you fuck around.. we gotta help with the trauma and their self worth.. they dont have to be made out to be gods, but for real i used to feel like i was worth less than everyone else thats why i experienced certain things and nobody cares, BUT there is always someone out there who cares for you. No matter what and it is okay to be jouful.

Great documentary. I found the interviewer really compelling.
The socioeconomic landscape in London is a really painful thing to see, money means everything and I understand that. I have lived and studied in SE1- for 4 years and am currently training to be a secondary school science teacher. Everyone needs to be more open and honest about London’s drug and gang cultures, parents, teachers and government need to do much more in certain areas.
It’s just really unfortunate for the youth, I felt a lot of empathy during some of the interviews.
Take the advice of the Trapper, be patient, and educate yourself, everything takes time.

This needs to be shown to secondary school children who are vulnerable to getting into this trap, government policy makers should also need to watch this and take note and stop pumping as much money into stopping the trappers and pump more money into stopping the supply and helping people not get into dealing, unfortunately though even if they do I'm sure they'll still fuck up and pump money into wasteful things and just make our society more unequal

Jermaine you deserve an OBE for your work. You are cutting right to the root of the problem. My wife and I live in Lewisham and only this week we were seeing this sort of activity happen. There is a massive issue with youths having nothing to do but hang around idle, and so they become sitting ducks and easy pickings for the drug grooming predators.
About 20 young kids tailgated into the apartment block we live in, 7 of which were hanging out in the small corridor of the floor we live on. That's not normal and they do not live in the building. They all ended up running down the emergency stairs and out the front door. I have watched a lot of your message and it got me thinking.....where are the parents? Why aren't they asking their children questions about what they are up to, or why they are hanging out on Lewisham street corners at 20:30 in the evening?
Why are children scouting out other buildings they don't belong in? I am telling you here and now that those kids are the targets for the older drug dealers because if they are willing to tailgate and trespass then what else are they willing to do?
Thank you once again for all your hard vital work bro

    • @Dredsed
      @Dredsed 3 роки тому

@@Dredsed Mind explaining how I am trespassing? Do you think you own Lewisham or the ground the "posh blocks" are built upon? Dying to hear your logic.

    • @Dredsed
      @Dredsed 3 роки тому

@@VelcroKittie Nah not me but those yutes running into the block have more ownership of the area than you.
You come down here to work in the city and live in your posh block and contribute nothing to the area, them blocks wouldn't even be there if it wasn't for people like you. Sitting there all well off and then being weirded out when the hungry feral kids act aggravated?
"I pay for it so I'm entitled" - if you live by those rules then don't expect kindness from those who don't have much option to pay.
Go back to your countryside manors and see if you can earn London money there. You can't, that's why you're here taking up space in Lewisham, taking while not giving back. And you have the nerve to complain about them.
Gentrification = trespassing. Worse it is theft of and abuse of spaces.
      I'll wait for your reply.

Back in 89,90,91 I started to smoke hash( ganja as me n my mates knew it )
I quickly learned that all the cats at school from 13 up wanted a smoke, in less than a month I was getting 9 bars laid on by a known local family of criminals,
And with in a few months I’d switched from having the bar laid in to using my own cash to buy my own bars from the same family,
I was 15 and they was happy to sell to me and smoke with me , guys from 18 to 60 , from 15 to 18 the cops were pretty much useless when it came to prosecuting me just through my age ,
I got busted a few times at my mums house where I lived , they only ever got a bit of personal, back then they couldn’t search the whole house as easy because it was me they were busting and I was a kid ,
I learned that you don’t trust anyone if you are staying in the game, also no matter what don’t talk to anyone ( no matter how safe you think they are )
Don’t keep your product anywhere near you or your know locations ,
If you keep your brain about you and you don’t flaunt what you’re earning drugs can be a profitable business,
Some times you are born into a scene and you are presented with limited choices.
    Choose carefully,
If you choose crime you gotta work hard to be successful.

But to be fair, not many people born in the uk apply. Too proud to earn an honest wage.

Someone could be around the corner waiting to shoot you. It’s a mad life. The olders take advantage of you by taking you to ( for example) they take you to nandos and spend £100 on you. Then you have to repay back to them by trapping. If not then you get stabbed. Mad lifestyle

People that do what these guys do when caught should be labelled as child groomers and put on a list for 10 years not only would it help reduce the amount of kids getting involved it would ruin the image of the dealers and stop it appearing so appealing to younger minds.

Well obviously that's not what some gang member / dealer would do. That would be idiotic. Grooming is a very subtle and indirect way of forcing via manipulation, fear and control.
These kids are monitored and chosen as potential targets because they have certain criteria. You could spot a very lightly target and simply get to know them. Find out what they "think" they are looking for and slowly show them that you can provide what they "think" they need. This shit isn't done over night dude. If they want money you show them you are making money. If they want love you show them you can provide that love. It's a fucking game bro

These situations & circumstances thrive because they are meant too....
And to the matey who thinks...."the 'authorities' would kill us if they could"....mate, you're safe, they work for the same employer you're working for.
There are those in government & above government that exercise massive influence on government, who sincerely believe that the majority of people, adults, are incapable of governing their own lives & among those there are those who are also criminally minded who benefit from the situation highlighted, so between them, for example, rather than create a situation where adults are treat like adults i.e legalising all drugs/substances, which could be regulated & used to generate profits for society....the opposite is constantly the case, from the deliberate dumbing down & the arresting of development within the education system to treating adults like children by removing responsibility at every opportunity.......it all boils down to the issue of CONTROL.

Mind you, I'm not sure if you heard the story recently about 3 gang members who were Jailed for life. They were caught in Lewisham and they had gone on a similar show to this masked up, boasting about their guns.
