@@vava7858 "Nothing really changed between the two movies." ...Dude, firstly, G -1 takes place right after WW2, while GxK takes place in 2029. There is fights and more action unlike the single kaiju film of Minus One. One focused on a human-pushed story, and the other a monster-pushed story.

King of monster can be turned into a villain title for Godzilla cause the word monster the critics are only comparing how good the movies to how they are different the Godzilla looks and how the movies plot goes
Nothing really changed tho, if you think that he is a monster how do you know what would he do it's a radio active monster that was born from nature he still destroys buildings and kill people you can't deny that big monster can see you down when you near it's feet you would be stepped on, so monster really fits for him

Godzilla is such a malleable character that you can use him in any context, hero, villain, anti hero, anti villain etc. Minus One is great, but I'd miss the Showa Era stuff too.

And legendary being the fun action comedy of the late showa era.

dude that final scene when minus one godzilla was charging his atomic breath and aiming at the ships IN THE THEATER was like looking at the devil. It even still sends chills to my spine looking at it on a UA-cam short.

Minus One is made for critics and to be a good movie. GxK was made for the fans who don’t care too much about story, and just want to see Kaiju. Neither one of these is better than the other

I'm so glad. I like both versions for very different reasons. Knowing each director is fine with the other is like confirming it's okay to like them both.
Godzilla is a riverside character you can make him a hero,villain,depressing character having sex with mothra etc godzilla works almost everything
They're both wonderful and are great and smart takes on the character and both are different allegories that lend to their respective universes and themes. No need to have them compete. Just enjoy the rich Godzilla lore and fan base
Critics and media as a whole pitting the western and eastern Godzillas against each other. Meanwhile true fans and both directors just basking in all the wins and having a blast.

Critics need to take in consideration on the two different takes, it really annoys me that people keep shitting gxk nowadys. I mean look at showa even in millenium theres some goofy moments that are epic and badass that people love and fans adore.

I'm not gonna lie godzilla minus reminds me of Godzilla king of the monsters 1954 godzilla 1985 and shin godzilla 2016 like hell I kinda like what they do for movies and shows oh the years toho American and Japanese I probably watched all of it to the beginning and the end
