I had just turned thirteen when this was released, and gaming wasn’t a hobby.
I don’t remember if I was supposed to hold or repeatedly press the “B” button for the Tome of Doom. Either way, I always did the opposite.
So, as embarrassing as it would be to admit it, guess what would always happen a couple of minutes after 38:14.

I've been looking for this game for so long. Was the first game I ever played and was the reason I got into video games in the first place.

I remember waking up on Christmas Day opening my presents then my dad said get the cereal out the cupboard I’m gonna make some breakfast, so I went over to the cupboard and there was 2 more presents and he said Santa must’ve left them especially for me, I opened them and it was the gameboy advance and scooby doo. Probably the best and most memorable Christmas ❤️

Really good licensed game honestly. Stayed true to the show, levels had great variety, music absolutely slapped, and solid puzzle platformer gameplay. Also capturing ghosts with the book as Shaggy was always fun.

fiat_ow ikr, I feel like the beginning of it had more sinister music. And I thought I remembered a bit where the black guy with the glasses yells at you like “WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY SHACK!?”. Must’ve been a weird cartridge that I got.

Absolutely remember this game years ago and still love it! I remember playing once and getting a white screen of death (with small black text) when I pulled out the Tome, strange stuff... The basement music in the Wild West level is my favourite track. I have just one question, I wonder who Robert Lamoureux was (one of my life's most unanswered mysteries)? His young death is reminiscent of Charles Lawrence's of 'Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday'. I typed in his name and years and only got memorial posts...

SO, I'm playing it again on a Nintendo DS Lite, but I cannot for the life of me get shaggy and scooby to jump high enough to move around the basement (over crates and onto platforms etc)... Does anyone know if this was ever a glitch, DS issue, or if i'm missing something? I watched the gameplay in the basement and I just cant jump as high haha

Fun bug in the game: in those dark areas when scooby needs to carry the lantern, you can switch shaggy and scooby under a lightbulb and the lantern won't be disappear. Scooby will continue carrying the lantern in his mouth even through the lit areas. It will work throughout the whole room, even through secret passageways and only disappear once you go through a door to exit the room

For what this game was, this is arguably the best licensed game for its IP on this console. In a rare turn of events real ghosts mixed with standard fair villains created quite a unique experience.

Ah, my first ever system and game that I own. I remember Christmas morning and opening up my gba. My twin brother and I got our first gaming system and our first game. My brother got Donkey Kong Country while I got this... I think it's safe to say who got the better end of the deal. Unfortunately, I never got past the first episode because I didn't realize you have to hit the switch at 6:27.

Random memories of having this appeared in my head one day. My grandparents got it for me for Christmas and I was excited, but I didn’t have a GBA lmao. Luckily my dad had a ds lite and I played it there.I had no idea how to play and the ghosts freaked me out for some reason even though I watched the show. My dad finally found it today and I bought a GBA so I will try it out tmr. But still, I loved the opening cutscene for some reason.

OK so I got to the end of the game where you have to get rid of the purple fire ghost and I watched this video on how it was done. but for some reason I end up running out of energy before the ghost does unlike how it is in the video. and by the time I go and get my energy back up to full the purple fire ghost has its energy back to. so what am I supposed to do?????

This game is based off of 60s-70s Scooby-Doo, where canned laughter was common.
