I don't entirely agree with the idea of war... But I seriously respect soldiers for all their hard work and dedicated sacrifice.
Put it like this. If we had no armies, terrorist organisations would rule. They would kill you, your families and friends for a laugh. Yes, sometimes countries go to war, under the name of idiots like hitler. But other wise armies are usually for defence and anti-terrorism.
shmached I said I don't agree with the idea of war, I said nothing about disagreeing with defending your countries people. The main purpose of government is to keep people safe, sometimes those powers are abused.
There are two kinds of army: Those made to conquer other countries, and those made to defend those being attacked. The second kind exists because of the first. Make sure you know the difference.
In personal terms, this is the difference between a bully and self defense. Both may throw punches, but the are not on the same level.
Been in the swedish marines i know how hard it can be, even if you think you are well prepard its nothing compared to what you will do. Nice to see this, i always wounder how Damien would be as a soldier

16 is the minimum, but you need parental permission. 18 you can join with no parental consent, and if you're over 33 you can't join

***** not really, they may not be number one, but they are truly up there. hell, they have more experience in warfare (thousands and thousands of years) than any other nation or tribe (they were a huge ass tribe before they became an official nation). They have very advanced technology and everyone joins the military so even at a young age, you are told you will join the military and you begin training physically and mentally at a younger age than the vast majority of countries and nations. AND they also train some of our navy seals.
