I ordered mine in January after seeing this video and really excited to get it in. Filip is one of the most accessible designers to talk to even though he lives in a different timezone. Great guy, cannot wait to get my hands on my custom daypack from him! Thanks JT for the review and coverage of a great designer/maker!
Awesome 1st impression JT. I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago with a few extra customizations. I added the sternum strap, bike light loop at the back, side handles on both sides (non of those flappy ones) on top of VX42 main fabric with blaze orange interior. I was pretty stoked when you uploaded this video. Now I'm really excited to get mine which he says will ship mid January. He's a pretty decent guy to chat & discuss with through emails. Looking forward to more mainstreams backpack brands review. Keep it up!
I think showing this pack on your back would have been very helpful it seems like a nice "small" EDC however I prefer my rehose 22 liter (just a bit more than this) I am glad that 2 guys from the Czech Republic are making names for themselves 😊
The interior of that rip stop looks nice. The white interior is a nice touch. It all looks very thoughtful and usable. That new pouch though is freaking amazing!!! Happy holidays!
Nice preview, I bet this video is going to sell a lot of bags for Filip. This “day pack” looks perfect. I would like to see your impressions after you’ve carried it for a while.
So far, so good. The trip this weekend should be a good barometer. And always happy to help a bro from the the community out. I mean, easy in this case because his stuff really is that good.
Hello. Did you use this backpack everyday for the past 2 years? How is the fabric condition now? It has good abrasion resistance? Any scratch or marks at the bottom edges corner?
@@jtinseoul7041 went with the base Daypack in black/orange EPX. If I like it as much as I think I will, I have some ideas for day hiking specific customizations on a possible 2nd order. Excited!
Why did you decide for the EPX instead of Ultra 400, that he also offers? In general Filip is a great guy to deal with, been with him since his first pouches and he's picking up speed incredibly!
There it is! It came out so nice. Part of me is now wishing I'd ordered a different interior color (I like hi-vis, but that white looks very nice). 34L GR2 showed up unexpectedly this morning so at least I have something to occupy myself with until this arrives.
Ironically the interior is my favourite part. That said, you could maybe message him and see if he started yet. Never know, maybe he hasn't with the holidays and all!
@@jtinseoul7041 I started second guessing my choices the moment I ordered it but I broke down and emailed him asking if he could swap the pouch and the bag to the light interior. I'm not sure if I want him to tell me it's too late or not too late.
Nice looking pack bromigo! Man, I really aspire to pack as minimal as you, but I tend to be too much of a MacGyver and Boyscout with all the things I might and often end up needing.
The only Coyote Bullet I have at the moment is the 2-compartment 10L. I will be comparing the Filip Raboch to the newest Bullet, the Kaidan, and some other fun small bags in a video this weekend ;)
Agreed on the orange! Although it's an option (as is basically everything else haha). The material kinda blew me away honestly. It's way better than I ever imagined.
Hey man, really enjoyed the video and never heard of this dude until now. I was wanting to reach out to him and ask about a custom sling and I just wanted to ask what was the price range I should expect based on the pouch you had commissioned. I am kinda looking at something the same size but built around a Fuji X100V camera so didn't want to contact him just yet if it was way out of my price range. Apologies if you mentioned it on the video and I missed it!
@@jtinseoul7041 Oh that's very reasonable. I was expecting at least double that haha. Sweet, I will get in touch with him and just mention I saw a JTinseoul video.
I think a couple of weeks or so but with the holidays I think right now it could be longer. If you send him a message or email I'm sure he'll let you know what's realistic.
Man oh man, I just posted about the RFF 12 hr being a great minimal carry but missing a few features. It looks like this bamma checks off those missing features.
Re: holidays - and to you! Yes to kindness. I guessed right for today's choice. Will be curious to hear how you like comfort of straps/bag, how it holds up. You didn't want zips that were 10's? Alpha has 8's too but as more robust bag, seems like it would be better with 10's? Is this one lightweight? How tall is yours? I am afraid to ask price....Been very interested in this guy's packs. Thank you for a year of great education...(p.s. Is this the bag you wanted us to wait for? Will wait for your after-trip take. Curious, what you would do differently if you had to do it again. Plus, pouches a thumbs up?). Cheers!
All the specs should be on the site linked, but, it definitely feels light. Re: zippers - on a bag this size this is more than enough. That said, he has the option to make them #10s on the site if one chooses. I just don't think it's necessary with these aquaguards especially on a bag with a very easy zipper track (the lines the zippers take). The straps are good so far, they feel supple, but strong. The price is $215 as shown here. Not bad at all for a custom, handmade backpack. And this is the one I mentioned! There will be a follow up after the trip, but I'm fairly certain I will be still digging it a lot!
I love chonky zippers but 10s might be overkill on a light bag like this. If I find myself needing a weatherproof bag, this is going to be my choice for sure.
@@jtinseoul7041 If I get one it will be because he's willing to go full boar custom. I want to make something entirely new and hoping he can do it :) I'll make a video if I do and ping you.
@@jtinseoul7041 While I have you, can you confirm something for me about the Brown Buffalo 2L? That's a bag I'm looking at to replace my GR1. The GR1, with a weight plate in it, makes the bag lopsied because of where the laptop space is and it throws off the weight for me. The shoulder straps are completely screwy, one having to be much tighter than the other. Doesn't happen with my DSPTCH bag or any other bags. I really want a burlier clamshell and want to double check before grabbing a Brown Buffalo.

Got one on order with side water bottle pockets and a dyneema mesh pocket on the front. looks great!
Nice! I think that front pocket would be sick!
Cant wait for you to revisit once you had it for a while 💪🏾🥷🏾
For sure bro! This weekend's trip should be a good test.

I do want to see that ultra 400. Sounds pretty amazing.
Super cool bag! As usual, great review.

Great vid bro. Have a great outstanding-bag Christmas my man!

Haha. I think more like.. convenience stores are called that for a reason. If I'm carrying too much the trip ends up being less enjoyable for me.
Very very tempted to pick up one of his custom bags! Are you planning to get more from him?
Yep, for sure! Next stop for me is his travel bag which I think looks like a GREAT option for minimal travel.
Oh man… this is awesome. I love the GR Bullet 15L, but this seems to take it to another level.
Definitely a good one ;) Comparison to the Bullet 15 coming soon!

One of the best. One is permanently on my desk organizing everything there. I think I've got three all getting use.
The Euro-Bullet!
Exactly lol.

Good! No orange liner. Not a fan of this particular color. And the EPX400 material seems very interesting.
