Soon you’ll get better really has and is helping me through my grandpa suffering with cancer. To know Taylor felt exactly the same as me is so comforting .
I definitely relate. The song came out a few months after by grandpa passed away, I was 18 at the time. I literally sobbed for hours after hearing it. The song is so good, but it's very painful to listen to
The final words on this album are so beautifully haunting and I have never seen anyone point this out. The love of my life is my art, and that is what I am. You are what you love. Hang onto it.

Lover brought me back to being a full-on Swiftie. I wasn’t there for much of Rep and still don’t listen to most of the songs from it. I just don’t prefer the sound but I love what Rep represents. Honestly, I love seeing how Taylor's thoughts and opinions about what she thought love was/meant from when she was 16 and had innocent views on how true love meant a happily ever after, to her views of love at 31 after multiple heartbreaks and lessons learned from her failed past relationships.
I really don’t know why me gets so much hate... ugh it is such a BOP and in my top 5 on Lover I was having bad anxiety and when ME! came out I felt “well you should just be yourself and it’ll be ok” : ) Also Daylight is the best song on Lover and I’m obsessed with it... I’ll never forgive the fandom for ignoring it
On my first ever listen, Daylight was one of my least favourite songs on Lover. After all this time, it's the song that I listen to the most from that album and definitely my favourite one.
Lover is probably my top three favorite Swift album, it was the one that got me to call myself “a swifte” I didn’t really like the singles but it still is a beautiful album and Paper Ring, Corilla Street, London Bot and Cruel Summer are some of my favorite Taylor Song. My 2nd favorite album is Evermore and 1st is Folklore. Taylor is really improving.
I think the way the last few tracks on almost every album seem out of place is a vague indication of her next album. just something I've noticed and I love ME! idk why "spelling is fun!" got so much hate... its a cute lyric 😭
Awesome!!! Congrats! I highly recommend you do it with Melodrama by Lorde. This album is very consistent and follows a storyline, in which every song is connected to each other
I agree that it's nice to have a friend is like a preview of folklore/evermore, when i listened to that song in 2019 i knew that this was her showing the new music sensibilities that she would explore in her next album
One of my favorite albums and personally has 2 of my favorite songs by her being I think he knows and Death by a thousand cuts. I also love she isn't scared to voice her political opinion, I know not everyone is going to agree with it which is why it is so brave. To me that just proves that she didn't do it for the money because she knew she'd lose some listeners who didn't agree with her opinion.
cornelia street is beautiful because when she sings that she would never walk it again, my interpretation is that she would never go to try love again. thats why she sings "i dont wanna lose you", it is so deep her confession for her love her joe, she is being the most honest anyone could be. she admits that she is scared to lose him and that he is basically the love of her life
