Thank you for the video. It was excellent. I am trying to decide if I want to purchase this machine. It looks lovely, but very intense and a number of steps you have to take to brew a perfect latte.
Yess to “coffee should be enjoyed how you want/know it” :) Happy to have found your channel! I love the setup and mood of your videos! And niiiice coffee nook. Sooo pretty 😍😍😍
Welcome to New Zealand :) I've had this machine for a number of year, always great to catchup even if its the beginners guide to make sure I'm creating the best coffee
Very nicely done video! very well edited! I just bought the Breville barista express machine myself, and stumbled across your video, I found the periodic calming music and meditative moments of silence very relaxing!!
hello, im going to be buying a Breville Barista Express BES870 but I am wondering what is the difference between the Breville Barista Express BES870, and the regular Breville Barista Express?
@katesclamado, do you know how long I should wait before I make a second cup? When I make the first double shot cup, it comes out perfectly with all my current dials/settings but when I make the second cup with the exact settings, espresso comes out so slowly and whole lot less amount. Should I do something in between cups or wait certain minutes?
Thank you for this video ! I just ordered this machine and was wondering if you use tap water or bottle water i currently have a Delonghi small Espresso machine and always used bottle water in it , great video thanks again !
It's such a beautiful video again! 🌿 I really enjoy watching your videos and the aesthetics is just amazing. I'm just a regular coffee maker but I do enjoy a good of special coffees too.
Hi Kat thanks for posting this video. I have just purchased this machine. Hey where did you get your cool wooden coffee knock box from? I am NZ as well.
Beautiful calm easy to understand video. My only suggestion would be to make your type for your captions about double in size. Very hard to read on the phone. Thanks for the great tips.
I love mine, had it for a while. Any idea how o can make my cappuccino hotter? I steam the milk until the jug is too hot to touch but it just ends up being just warm enough to drink immediately.
Just got this and the water tank leaks at the bottom when filled before attaching. Is the reason why you fill it after attached to prevent this? Just need confirmation it’s not broken lol
How do you get that much crema out that? When I press my Machine for a single shot, it goes into pre extraction for a few seconds, the extraction is black, then the gauge goes into expresso range that’s when I see crema come out.
Love this video. I have the same machine and love it. It’s about 8 yrs old now. The one problem I have with it is that at times when I have company over and I start making espresso my first one comes out fine but after that it’s like the pump starts to give out. The pressure rises to max and the machine struggles to pour a shot and it does nothing but a few drips and the handle begins to unwind itself from the pressure. I once walked away to serve my first cup while the second was pouring and the handle unscrewed itself. What a huge mess.
@@zodiark2456 yes, I actually took the porter head apart a few weeks ago after I don’t know how many years of owning this machine and man I wish I would’ve done that a long time ago. There was so much gunk in there. Actually cleared up the head now like you said I was able to make several espresso back to back and I get some good foam on top too. My only thing I notice is that my pressure doesn’t reach the good range it sits kind of below it. I have my grind setting on 9 and the grind amount set to the lowest?
It varies a lot on the type of beans that you use. I'd say, start in the middle setting and adjust accordingly until you get the pressure gauge in espresso range. Also, you want the espresso making process to last 25-30 seconds (from the moment you press the button until the machine stops).
I have the same problem, it never reaches espresso range..but when I switched to the pressurised basket it does just not with the basket with more holes..
Grind the beans finer. Also, weigh the coffee you grind. Should be anywhere from 16g to 20g. I use internal grinder at 4 and the external at 2, and use 18g of coffee
Video is nicely made. background and environment and music etc. The only thing that makes it hard to watch is no narrative. I understand the video maker may not be native English speaker, but it's always ok if you try. With the subtitles, we will understand finally.
Suggestion: you skipped right over how to brew the coffee. You showed how you flushed the head, but now how you actually make the coffee start brewing. A big step.
PS. It's a thermoblock heater and you don't need to wait 20 minutes... 5 minutes will do. There is no water reservior or so much thermal mass that will store more than a couple brew's worth anyway. Also why did you skip through and not show how to do the actual brew process? Sigh.
This tutorial started out great until halfway through when you started making the coffee and failed to give us any measurements or even tell us which buttons you are clicking on the machine to pull the espresso
i downvoted bc it was so difficult to read the tiny instructions while doing the actual steps. an audio narrating the steps would have been way more hepful
thank you for helping me learn how to use my new machine
measurement on these? grams of coffee beans? oz of shot? oz of milk? Thanks!
So relaxing but informative at the same time!
i LOVE watching your videos! they made me want a breville even more so i bought one not too long ago and i absolutely love it 😁

Coffee lover from Auckland stumbled across this video. Thinking about upgrading from Nespresso to a Breville coffee machine.
Go for it! 😁
Jo that’s what I’ve just done! I’ve had a Nespresso pod machine for nearly 10 years, I ordered this breville machine last night. Can’t wait!

I'm excited to see your new coffee setup in NZ (if you will have one) 😋 Love all of your videos!
Definitely will and cant wait to make a home cafe setup video. 😍 thank you!
This video is so perfect💚

Why you pour the coffee and the milk twice into separate cup and mug?
hello, im going to be buying a Breville Barista Express BES870 but I am wondering what is the difference between the Breville Barista Express BES870, and the regular Breville Barista Express?
Revisiting your videos Kat bec I got my own Breville barista express ❤️
How many lbs were coffee beans? I didn’t see and what did you set grind size to?
Thank you for the tutorial, I love this channel 👍

What brand of coffee is that? I’ve been looking for one that has that much crema.. thank you :)
Great video, loved the simplicity
How do you figure out what and how much to dial in? Do you just keep trying different ways and write down your shot?
Yesss exactly
A relaxing work of art! Thank you.
Thank you too!
Hi! Have you used the built in grinder to grind for filter/pour over coffee?
Nope
When all done, do you see the water on top of the on the coffee portafilter? I spill a little bit to the garbage.
How is the reliability of the machine? any problems, or issues?
I just bought my espresso machine and its coming next week. What type of scale do you recomend? Can you send a link?

Hi Kat thanks for posting this video. I have just purchased this machine. Hey where did you get your cool wooden coffee knock box from? I am NZ as well.
Hi, i got it from IKEA when i was still in the UAE. :)
Hi! Is the switch for steaming and hot water really hard to twist? Because the one that I used (same as yours) is really hard to twist or turn.
I guess the more u use it the easier it is to switch :)
Can i know what is the grind size for in and out?!
Nice video. May I know what camera & lens you use?
hi, i am using 2 cameras for my vlogs. canon g7x mark II and fujifilm xt20 with 18-55 and 35 f2 lens.

Do you know how I can remove and replace the steam wand? I can't seem to take off the old part to replace it with a new one.
I love mine, had it for a while. Any idea how o can make my cappuccino hotter? I steam the milk until the jug is too hot to touch but it just ends up being just warm enough to drink immediately.
The best solution is get a thermometer. :)

What is the difference from the trays? Is it the same or does one give a better look than the other?
Where do you get your coffee beans from?
Thanks, what numbers for the grinder and the weight as i like it also dark roast with milk , UAE nice I live also in UAE
I have been in love with my machine but lately my shots have come out too foamy could it be old beans? Can’t figure out why
Such a good video
Great video! Where is your scale from?
It’s from a brand called Brewista
How do you get that much crema out that? When I press my Machine for a single shot, it goes into pre extraction for a few seconds, the extraction is black, then the gauge goes into expresso range that’s when I see crema come out.
Hi! Can this be used commercially?
I don’t think so but i’ve seen people using it for their small home cafe business

Does anyone know what the clear, round plastic piece is for?
Does the scale come with the machine?
No

Why double FILTER SIZE wwhen NOT using a dual wall? I dont get the FILTER SIZE button vs the GRIND AMOUNT purpuse.. same?
Is extended warranty purchase must for this machine?
I bought this with no warranty. So far no issues. :)
There’s something wrong with the pressure that my shots are being pulled out from. The dial won’t go up that high & I don’t know how to change that :/
