I love that they're playing on a big time TV show and they can still make this performance so intimate, like they're playing and singing for one person specifically. I'll always maintain that this song has some of the most beautiful piano work I've ever heard in my life. It was this song that really made me think, "Keep an eye on these guys, you're gonna like what you hear." Glad to say all this time later that holds true. Lovely performance.
Saw him perform this alone on stage with just the globe in Vancouver 1999 as a solo encore while he was still tweaking this new song with a few hundred other people. Magical. So beautiful. We knew right then this band was going stratospheric.
@SuperiFox I do agree with you from a personal point of view, but they've just been keeping up with the times! being able to reinvent themselves is one of the reasons they've managed to reach such iconic status! Plus at the time parachutes was brand new and so were coldplay, plus it was a decade ago so there's a lot of nostalgia involved!
viva la vida is different so is X&Y along with Mylo Xyloto. the reinvent themselves over and ever again. all their music is amazing in my opinion but it's all different and not everyone's cup of tea.

Koley Bolen 'Trouble' was written by Chris as an apology for Will. Chris had asked Will to leave the band because at the beginning Will made a few mistakes, because he wasn't a drummer originsllyr. In this song Chris apologized for having caused Trouble for Will.
