    Incredibly helpful! I have Systemic Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogren's Syndrome, nMALS (Neurogenic Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome) among a list of 19 other conditions, most of which are less severe than the ones I listed. I have to get blood work regularly to check my red and white blood cells (among other things). For a while, when I was severely malnourished, my levels were low and I took a supplement. They get messed up now and then from the Lupus as well. I really appreciate the clear and scientific explanation here, informative and interesting! :)

    Quick question. Please why would the Feretin be high if iron is low?

    • @fahadjalil7083
      @fahadjalil7083 2 місяці тому

      Iron isn't exactly low ! Iron availability for Haemoglobin production is low, which includes binding iron with ferritin ( like locking it up ), rendering it unavailable for use in Haemoglobin

    Do chronic diseases lead to only iron deficiency anemia ?!
    I mean that can chronic disorders cause other type of anemia?!

    • @waelfadlallah8939
      @waelfadlallah8939 Рік тому +1

      There are chronic diseases such as pernicious anemia and end stage renal disease can cause anemia that is not related to iron metabolism. The former will manifest as macrocytic anemia while the latter as normocytic anemia.
