- In this video, Duraid does a full mock driving test around Manukau 🚙.
Duraid has been on his full conditional for some a while now and thought it was time to finally get road legal! Duraid’s Test was booked in for about 4 weeks from the mock test.
How’s he going to do today? 👇🏽

Hi Muneeb, I don't know if you're going to see this but I have been binge watching your videos, I live in Palmy and sat for my FIRST full practical test and I passed, no errors. I still can't believe it. My examiner said she liked how I kept my wheels straight on the flush median and turned only after the oncoming car had passed, also scanning the intersection when youre the first car in line as the lights turn green, well these are your tips, so you get full credit. Just wanted to say thanks and you're helping people even outside of Auckland 🙂 Cheers
PS: I wanted to add, I hate driving and I find it very stressful, but if you know the rules and what's expected of you, anyone can pass, pay attention to the the little details, good luck to anyone reading this :)
Hi Natasha,

@@SocialDrivingAcademy VTNZ Thorndon in Wellington, I found driving round the general test area before my test very useful.
@@SJNZ96 yes certainly some general familiarity with the area definitely helps!

How did your test go?
@tialaava2786 I failed my 1st one at Manukau but passed my 2nd one at Westgate 😊
Thanks for this! Yourvideo helped me to see a few things I've missed doing while driving on my restricted license.
I just passed my Full License test recently.
Congratulations Rafael!
Salaam Brother Muneeb. Thank you so much for this video . It helped me pass my exam . God bless you 🙏
Walaikumsalam sister, many congratulations! Where did you sit your test and was it restricted or full?
It was a full test in Manukau, brother
Very good. Thank you very much ❤
You're welcome 😊
Very helpful info
Glad it was helpful!
I have my drivers test in Manukau (not my preferred location but is was the only place that was available) and I am nervous because im not to familiar with the roads there. Im mainly nervous because Im not sure what the speed limits are. Is there somewhere where I could find out what the speed limits are? would it be mainly 60km limits there?
Hi Dan, good luck with your test preparation! Manukau has a mix of 50/60/70 and 80km speed zones. A couple of things you could do to help with your nerves is to to head out there to drive around in the general area, and consider a mock driving test with a driving instructor in the area. A scanning strategy you can use while driving is to look for speed signs every time you enter and exit from a road. When is your test?
The full lisence still need to do U turn? I thought it should be for restrict license.
Hi Cathy, you're right. The full license test does not include a Uturn as an assessable task.
Hi Sir, thank you so much for sharing the video, I have just booked for my restricted in Manukau, just wondering if the route would be the same for restricted? Thanks in advance
Hi Cindy, thank you for your question but I don't comment on routes etc.
Enjoyed it.
I recommended Duraid bring forward his test which he did and passed on the following Wednesday! :)
@@SocialDrivingAcademy good to hear!
Quick question. When reversing, am I allowed to put my hand on the passenger seat to look behind me and through the back windsheild?
Hi Detteh, I prefer keeping both my hands on the steering wheel while scanning through the back windscreen. I don’t recommend locking your hands into behind the passenger seat.
Hello brother, just a question. If there’s a pothole on the road do I run it over or do I slow down or try to move around it? Thanks.
Hi Jake, driving into a pothole isn’t good for your car. Slow down and try drive around it.
In test do they take in this route fir full license in manukau.
Hi Kru, our focus is on safe driving so we won't comment on routes.
Hi Muneeb, this is awesome man, gonna prepare for my restricted on 2nd of March, would the Manukau restricted test involves these routes in the actual restricted test? Cheeers bro
Thanks for the wonderful feedback! My focus during these sessions isn’t so much any particular route but helping learners become safer drivers who understand and can follow the road rules :)
Good luck with your test on the 2nd! Check out our “Driving Instructor Guide to the Restricted Driving Test” to help you prepare for you test!
@@SocialDrivingAcademy Daaarn oh man, I'll learn all then on my 3rd try (which really should be my final), because I had misconceptions about diverging signals, and I stupidly drove on a median strip, when I knew I should've just turned into the lane instead of going onto the median strip. Looks like I just need to relax on the test...
This isn't a mock driving test, more of a driving lesson. Be good to see you behave exactly like an examiner when you do these.
Thanks for your comment Jason. I normally provide my customers with feedback through the mock test because I feel identifying issues during the session adds better value than just giving a brief at the end. It's the customer's choice though, if they prefer no feedback during the drive we can do that too
@@SocialDrivingAcademy Makes sense. It was still useful for my son to watch this, he passed yesterday at Manukau.
Congratulations to him for passing his test! 🥳
@@SocialDrivingAcademy Thanks, I'll let him know when I next see him - he hasn't been home much lol.
Not sure if my comment will be seen, but it's okay to be a little nervous right because I've got my full test coming up very soon and want to watch this video up until the day to revise what I need to do. I'm not a very confident speaker and hope that wont fail me
Hi Crystal , yes absolutely alright to be a little nervous after all we are all humans. The trick to beating those nerves is to ensure you are well prepared for your test :)
You are welcome to check out my blog about nerves during your driving test: www.socialdrivingacademy.co.nz/blog/driving-test-nerves
@@SocialDrivingAcademy thank you very much for the kind words. I will look at your blog as any help that I can get/ recieve is greatly appreciated. As my support system is very low around me
All the best Crystal. Do reach out if there's anything else we can help with
@@SocialDrivingAcademy just wanted to give an update and say that I successfully received my full driver's license yesterday, passed on my first go
@@glacierfoxx8606 That's awesome! Many congratulations!!🥳
Is this the manukau vtnz restricted practical test route ???
Hi Saita, our focus is on safe driving so we won't comment on routes.
Full conditional license ? What is it ?
Hi Sanjay, a full conditional licence is what one gets when they first convert their international license. The condition stipulated on the full licence is that they can only drive with a supervisor.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
No Parellel parking ?
No parallel parking for the full licence test
I thought your only hazards are moving objects
To some extent but stationery hazards still require some awareness. For example, you could have a parked car and not know whether someone inside will open a door as you approach
Not necessarily.
Is this the actual route for a fulls test for vtnz manukau?
Hi Jj, the routes are set by VTNZ so can’t comment on those however I can say that our focus is on helping drivers understand how to be safe drivers and what they will be assessed on, and not so much the routes
Haha ive had mine 10years sheesh
Better now, then never :)
