Yeah I mean, they beat an 8-2 team so they're basically better than 8-2 so they're basically 9-2 so basically they're going to the super bowl if you think about it
Honestly as a Vikes fan I was expecting this season to be pretty rough so the idea that we could actually win a few games in the playoffs is fine by me. With that being said for the love of god McCarthy please be good.
I thought Sam would be as good or better than Kirk. and Flores' hand picked D would be another step up from last season, so I expected them to be better than the 2022 version. I would not preclude Sam starting next season as well.
@@JJ-zr6fu That doesn't make sense. The season is the same as it would have been if JJ was healthy. He would have started the season at QB3, and maybe progressed to QB2 if he had hit all his targets. Nothing would be different right now, except the Vikes might have a better back up.
As a KC fan, I also think Bienemy is missed more than people realize. The past couple years without him, Mahomes has come back down to earth a little bit from the gunslinging SOB he used to be.
@@ScorpioMojo I think that Bienemy had a complementary leadership style to Andy. When they were together, the Chiefs as an offense just kept finding ways to win. Matt Nagy's offenses just haven't done that, I don't want to speculate on what exactly Nagy does because I don't know anything but at the end of the day it's a small contribution because it's always going to be Andy's offense. That said, small differences can be seen when you have a two season sample size. Also it's not like Nagy coached great offenses when left to his own devices. The Bears offenses with him at the helm were consistently bad, and occasionally OK; the assumption should be that bad is Nagy's baseline, and it's not surprising that the offense has trended in that direction with Nagy getting more involved. The Chiefs need to mix it up at OC, I would love for them to hire someone out of the Shanahan or McVay trees but as long as it isn't Nagy or Pederson I'll be happy.
As a Broncos fan, I want to give PS2 his flowers. The only true “lockdown” corner in the league, worth his contract and probably more than he got paid. Should be in DPOY discussions categorically.
Why do so many national analysts have this weird perception that JJ McCarthy was going to start this season? JJ was not part of the plan this season. The biggest consequence of his injury is that he might not be ready to start week 1 of 2025. KOC clearly stated multiple times that Sam was the starter, and that McCarthy had a set programme of objectives to achieve before he would even be considered to start. In fact pre-season he was QB3 on the depth chart so that he could focus on his development without the distraction of weekly game plans. JJ's injury made virtually no difference to the Vikes season, unless Sam had got injured, or played so badly that they used the back end of the season to give JJ some experience.
I don't get the packers hype relative to the vikings. For me they are basically at the exact same level rn. Idk how Loves boneheaded turnovers are any better than Darnolds
Darnold 19 TDs vs 10 INTs, 68% completion, Love 16 TDs, 11 INTs, 62% completion. Will the Packers even make the playoffs. They caught a break with the 49ers down Purdy, and Bosa.
I’m a Lions fan and I don’t get it either. It seems to be based on Love being what he was the 2nd half of last year, but we haven’t seen that this year and sometimes when players get paid they regress. I think the Vikings are the bigger threat, but Darnold might be an issue down the line. I liked the Darnold signing, thought he could succeed there and he has but I don’t see him getting the Vikings past a divisional round at most.
It annoys me the narrative that became true through repetition that "the ravens lost to the chiefs by a toe", forgetting they'd still need a 2pt conversion to win. We just had a failed 2 point attempt a week ago, it is just naive to assume they'd get the conversion, even if they were rolling on offense on that scoring drive.
Idc what defense you're talking about, Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson on the 1-yd line has gotta be one of the highest-percentage likelihoods to score, ever.
@dragondrew2000 after failed 2pt conversions and blocked kicks this year, Ravens were a toe away from being down by one. Anything else is taking a play for granted. Miss me with that narrative.
Hopefully people can stop pretending the Steelers are contenders after last night. Mike Tomlin lost another trap game and will probably continue to fall short in the playoffs because their DL and half of their secondary are the only championship-caliber things that they have Update: conference round? No
Brett, as a Packer fan that enjoys the sport and watches every Pack game + plenty of the other games on the schedule, we cannot rush the passer. Hafley's dialed up some good blitz packages and we took advantage of bad O lines early in the year, but this defense will not stop passing attacks from a team with anything better than an average OL, and Jordan trying to play hero ball when we can't get stops scares me. Don't think this team makes it out of the divisional tbh, conference game at best. Would love to be wrong though.
Probably close to the last place I expected to see an Army of Two reference! Damn near forgot about that games existence until i noticed the thumbnail. Had some great times playing that as a kid with my friends. That and co-op terrorist hunt in Rainbow Six Vegas 2
NFC bears fans saying packers arent top tier due to a chicago bears bounce back on a division rival but was gritty and found ways to win. Sounds about right
Hey Brett, I’ve just come here to make a comments about the ravens. Who the ravens of 2024 really remind me of is the Lions of 2023. They have a ridiculous offense that prefers to run first and will just run over you. They have a very strong run defense and a respectable pass rush, but their past defense is A critical weakness. Of course, the major difference being the ravens have Lamar Jackson. I would argue that the ravens are going to lose for the same reason the Lions lost last year in the conference championship, coaching. For the lions, it was reckless aggression. The ravens tendency to shoot themselves in the foot feels like a coaching issue to me. They have a significant amount of Preventable penalties(holding, false start, illegal formation, etc.) , which come back to bite them in critical situations. And they also tend to make ugly errors at the worst possible times whether that be the blue moon fumble from Henry or players not properly securing the ball. The frustration that you mention washing, Cincinnati is how I feel watching the ravens half the time. By All rights the ravens should have a record like The Chiefs and be a Super Bowl favorite, but self-inflicted errors are murdering them.
While this is gonna sound like whining, I really do believe Baltimore is better than KC, and KC has benefitted from Andy Reid being the HC and some VERY lucky plays to stay undefeated. Baltimore has been working with different safeties and cornerback groupings which seems to be paying off. TreDavious White had a huge performance against Pittsburgh.
@@murt5121 it certainly was last year in January. No reason to believe it won't repeat. You are intentionally sleeping on how well the lions fans have consistently traveled these past 2 years
I hate the dismissiveness people have with Vikings fans when they say "The expectations were low for your team this year, you should be happy with a conference championship appearance." Like, no we're fkin not. As a franchise, our trophy cases are lined with everything except a Lombardi. There is zero precedent for Sam Darnold and the playoffs, because he hasn't been on a good enough team. His ceiling is playoff Joe Flacco, and his floor is playoff Ryan Lindley.
Sam's throwing accuracy is 80%, that as good as anyone in the league including Goff, Kyler and Mahomes. Sam's has always had the ability, and every week he's getting a little more conversant with the playbook and more tuned in to his new playmakers. Expect him to get better and better as the season progresses.
As a fellow Vikings fan, to say Darnold is high-variance is probably an understatement. However, I do think that he's shown progress these past couple weeks; I'd think that KOC has/will continue to teach him to spread the ball around and take what's there rather than forcing throws. Honestly, I'm more concerned about our D/ST than anything. Secondary is hit or miss, they look completely different without key pieces (Cashman), and special teams faux pas still plague us. I completely agree with the sentiment that there are no "house money" seasons. Nothing is guaranteed about "next year" (i.e., 9ers). I do take solace in that our window might be opening over these next few years, but I will not be happy if we lose in the playoffs (or, god forbid, miss them all together).
@@EthanKlassen00 Sam has been as consistent as most QBs in the league this season. It was only logical to expect him to be a bit inconsistent early as he became more familiar with the playbook and his playmakers, but he has been pretty solid after a couple of hiccups against the Jets. Every QB has a couple of off throws, or makes a couple of sub par decisions. Sam made a few in one game. That's an anomaly, not defining. Goff did the same thing, just worse than Sam, and everyone rightly gave him a pass. If you're still waiting for Sam to turn into a pumpkin, your ship has already sailed. Right now he's a top 10 QB by any measure.
Remember when Brett predicted the Giants beating the Eagles about a month ago? I do! Alsoi Nick Sirianni is the most underrated coach in the league an it isnt particularly close. Hes already been to a superbowl and always has winning seasons and "pundits" treat him like hes only had losing seasons
Well it’s because delusional jalen defenders needs a scape goat to blame when Jalen’s Midness starts showing so they blame the coach. (Or anyone else they can find)
That Brett guy is in love with the packers but i think this is an emotional attachment and not a logical one. Packers are just not that good. Their defense is pedestrian. Their rushing attack is elite, jordan love isnt, and their WRs drop way too many balls.
Hey fellas! Loved the episode! Hate that I got to it so late, but here's my thoughts on what went wrong in Chicago; 1. The turmoil. I knew as soon as the Bears announced the dismissal of Shane Waldron that there was going to be a fire under the team's ass, and specifically the offense. Teams with their backs against the wall, especially when it's grown men in the NFL, should always be considered dangerous. 2. The streak. Not to be cliche, but 11 straight against a division rival, especially when it's the oldest rivalry in the NFL, should always be taken into consideration. That Bears team would be motivated no matter what, even if they're currently headed in the opposite direction from the Packers. Packers fans (which I, of course, am one) were foolish to take the Bears for granted in this spot; I hammered the Bears +6.5 3. The NFL. At the end of the day, this is the NFL. These are grown men. They are prideful. We always say "any given Sunday," but I can't remember a time/year when that phrase rang more true than it has in this year, 2024. The league is still ultra-competitive, and despite all of their inconsistencies, Chicago should have never been taken for granted. A few weeks removed from this game, and with the Packers now sitting at 9-3 after wins over SF and MIA, I think this team still has a ceiling of conference contenders, but I'm hopeful they can bridge the gap to become a Super Bowl contender. This is still the youngest team in the NFL (for the second straight year), but I think the optimistic outlook here is that this team still hasn't peaked or played their best ball just yet, but in these pasr few weeks, they're showing signs of putting it all together. The pass rush is improving, the Special Teams is the best it has been in decades (special shoutout to the Irishman Daniel Whalen), and Josh Jacobs is flying under the radar as one of the most dominant rushers this year. Still a lot of work to be done, but I like this team's chances of going into Detroit and Minnesota and beating those guys to tighten the division race. Still have mad respect for both Minnesota and Detroit. What they've built is obviously very real and sustainable, but counting out the Pack and MLF is short-sided.
This is exactly what everyone said last year about the Chiefs, and there are good points about the Chiefs health. Losing Jaylen Watson is what's led to the CB2 issues, but at the same time the Chiefs are adding back Pacheco and Charles Omenihu in time for the Raiders game on Black Friday. Also with home field advantage, I think last year's Chiefs team was worse than this one, and home field did not matter in the slightest for Buffalo or Baltimore.
As a Broncos fan, I actually have some serious concerns about our defense. I know that sounds weird, but let me explain. First off, I have to give enormous credit to Vance Joseph and the coaching staff for getting this team to play well above expectations. I also think a lot of credit has to be given to them for their ability to hide the very real limitations of Cody Barton, Justin Strnad, P.J. Locke, and Brandon Jones. And that is where my concerns spring from. I think that elite teams in the play-offs will figure out how to exploit our weaknesses at ILB and Safety.
denver feels like a really well coached defense with some ELITE talent in certain spots but probably another draft/free agent class away from being a true super bowl defense
the steelers are some secret third thing when we discuss nfl teams imma be honest. not a playoff contender, not not a contender, but how a team plays against them will determine how they do in the playoffs. it’s fascinating. tomlins house of horrors must be studied. they really are the embodiment of “they CAN keep getting away with it”
The "secrets" are that there's more to winning than just offense. They've pretty solidly had the 2nd best defense all year. And, aside from last night's loss in a blizzard, they've arguably had the best ST's in the league. Boswell has only missed a couple of unreasonably long FG's. They have a punt return for a TD, multiple blocked punts and kicks, plus one that was called back due to a penalty the league apologized for and more that were very close with uncalled holding calls. Boswell is on track to set kicking records, and Waitman is probably going to put up the best season of punting in franchise history. The offense is what media wants to talk about. It's been average to above average, and combined with the defense and ST's that makes them a really solid team.
I'll take you underrating the Commanders. A few things. As Brett kinda alluded to but ignored is that the Commanders haven't had their bye yet. The NFL again gave us a late bye, which is pretty killer. They are pretty beat up and at least the mini-bye is going to help before Dallas. I'd also say that facing the Eagles on a short week was a worst case scenario. A bye will definitely help the OL, which is beat up across the board, which should help the offense. I'll agree with the limited weapons, but before they were hurting people by spreading the ball around. In any case, I'm not really expecting a fade at this point, and I'm expecting they probably will finish with 10 wins.
I’m glad Brett didn’t pick the Lions as his top in the NFC he’s a jinx. Plus Brett has been an Packers and Fangio nut rider from way back 😂 Those NFC picks were biased EJ should of just put the Bears in the SB contention tier and really made it indisputable
I don’t get the packers love. They go on a rediculas run last year and now people think they will just do that again. That’s not how this works. People are all over the Steelers right now. I tune in last night and they get worked by the browns?
When the Bills lost to the Ravens this year it was in Baltimore so they were having difficulty running motion offense. They didn’t run their normal offense and it allowed the Ravens single high safety looks to eat against these receivers. Not to mention Buffalo didn’t have Amari Cooper or the more experienced current version of Coleman yet to help on the outside. Then on the other side of the ball, Bills were missing their top 3 linebackers and all pro slot CB. The entire interior of that defense was out so no wonder Ravens could run the ball however they wanted. 3 of those 4 guys are back already and Matt Milano is scheduled to come back in a couple weeks. I don’t think the Ravens are as much of a matchup issue as people think.
My AFC rankings: 1. Bills 2. Chargers 3. Chiefs 4. Steelers 5. Ravens 6. Texans 7. Broncos In AFC side of playoffs, this means it would come down to Bills versus Chargers. My NFC rankings: 1. Lions 2. Eagles 3. Vikings 4. Packers 5. Commanders 6. Cardinals 7. 49ers 8. Seahawks 9. Rams 10. Falcons In NFC side of playoffs, this means it would come down to Lions v. Eagles. The Superbowl will be Bills v. Lions. I think the Lions are in a tier above the Bills, so they would win the Superbowl. I think the biggest challenge for the Lions will be the Packers, simply because they are divisional rivals. The biggest fight for the Bills (besides the Lions) will be the Chargers. The Chargers have a complete defense and the Chargers could very effectively play a smash-mouth style of offense and control the clock. The biggest reason for the Lions winning the Superbowl is because of how aggressive and unafraid of contact the Lions are on both sides of the ball. The Lions will beat up anyone in their path. Their only slight issue is lack of depth at wide receiver, which is really only an issue against teams with elite safeties and slot corners.
Win or lose in the playoffs , Broncos deserve the high praise , they have one superstar in Pat Surtain , other that , a bunch of no names that are playing there asses off . Broncos are legit .
That's exactly what the Eagles want. Slow, long, methodical drives where the superior lines win out while the other gets worn out. That's where the Eagles dominate. The Lions need to break the top off this Eagles defense and force them into a shootout to have a chance.
@@President_Mario The Lions have the most physical front on offense in the league, and hit as hard as anyone in the league on defense. They are fine grinding it out with methodical drives if they have to. The big plays often come in the second half when the other team is worn down. Plus, look at the Eagles schedule, it's been pretty soft to this point. Not hard to be dominate up front playing the teams they've played. Have to prove it against a contender.
with the Vikings only coming on top of the Bears by 3 in OT, I wonder if this changes the order, since the Packers not smacking the Bears was the justification for putting them in that spot on the rankings even as a gb fan, though, I'm fine with where they were ranked. we are honestly also still in that montage phase, but pretty dang close to the end of the montage
When the lions beat the eagles we want Brett to pour a glass of blue koolaid on himself like he is being slimed and then don’t talk about our team anymore pls and thank you
they're basically the chargers but worse lol. Worse defense and worse QB. Chargers also shut them down like a month ago. EJ's reasoning is Bo Nix is getting better so he can do enough with the defense but he's still not even close to Herbert
I pretty much agree with Brett on rankings. However, the vikings losing to the falcons in the wild card round is certainly possible due to MN sports bad luck. I could also see the bucs going on a run and kicking out the falcons of that division winner spot
Add oliver, rousseau, miller,, daquan jones jordan phillips quentin jefferson just to help you out with just a couple names on the buffalo defense.Since you couldn't manage to name one
I think the Steelers are a clear Super Bowl upside team being slept on. As a buff fan they scare me more than anyone else. It should be noted they matchup great against all the top dogs: Ravens, Bills in particular because of their ball control O/Tough D but honestly even against KC I think they can do everything KC wants to do but just a little better esp with Mahomes playin like this. Also the ability of TJ Watt to call game seemingly whenever he wants is insanely valuable in the playoffs where one big sack/sack-fumble can be the difference in the game. I see what you’re saying that their ceiling to actually WIN the Super Bowl is lower than Buff and KC and I mostly agree but with the NFL so tight this year it’s gonna come down to matchup so heavily.
As a Falcons fan…the NFC South is absolutely still up for grabs. The Bucs have a much easier schedule down the stretch & Mike Evans is returning. The Falcons have a more difficult schedule down the stretch. Tampa could very easily end up winning the division based on overall record. And honestly I think that’s how it ends up. I didn’t think the Falcons were going to win the division before the season. I thought they’d make it to 10 wins but miss out on the playoffs because Tampa, I thought was a better team. I still think that’s the case and as y’all said, I also think Atlanta’s ceiling is 9 wins but I think they’ll miss out based on the limitations y’all talked about. Despite outside perceptions, the Falcons are still in the rebuilding phase of their overall plan. Cousins helps them in the short term for sure, but I think Atlanta’s still at least a year away, & I think 2026 when Penix theoretically should take over, is when I think their roster & hopefully scheme should both be much better & fully formed.
Jordan Love is the kind of guy to throw the most incredible throw of any Sunday and then follow that up with the most obsurdly stupid decision of that Sunday.
I think you have the Vikes backwards. They are a new team - Sam is learning a new offence with new playmakers. Addison missed about 6 weeks of practice early in the season. Hockenson has only has 3 or 4 weeks practice with Sam since coming off IR. RB2 Cam Akers has just arrived. LT Cam Robinson has just arrived. So they have only just started building some combinations and continuity on offence. It should start becoming more intuitive and fluid as the season progresses, not shaky. The same on the defensive side of the ball where 7-10 players on the defensive rotation are also new and had never played together. Very little of last season's defensive core remains. They are all learning a new scheme too. Contrary to your perception, I think it is only logical that with more time on task the Vikes offence and defence will improve as the season goes on. Three of Sam's best four games for passing completion rates were weeks 8, 9 and 10 - 81%, 72%, 82%. He went 79% in week 1. The Vikes D have conceded 13, 7 and 13 points the last 3 games, and are top 5 in sacks, INTs, and fewest run yards conceded, rush yards per carry and rushing TDs conceded. The last 3 games they have doubled their opponents rush yards 133, 166, 82 vs 68, 56, 33 and had 81 first downs compared to 34. They have completely dominated their opponents everywhere but the scoreboard. I'd suggest that will come, especially with TJ back in the fold.
Charles Omenihu will be elevated from IR soon, so that should help on the edge for the Chiefs. That said, I don't know how that edge rush regressed from a similar period last year when Omenihu was suspended... George Karlaftis somehow seems slower than usual, and while he's still working overtime to get pressure at a good enough rate, that's not going to cut it against QBs like Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen or even Russell Wilson who can get the ball out fast or extend plays somehow. Chris Jones needs help ASAP. As for CB2, Jaylen Watson was playing great until his injury. Honestly nothing can be done about that now; Nazeeh Johnson will continue to get those reps because Joshua Williams is a penalty machine who unlike Sneed cannot cover to save his life, and while Nazeeh's been improving, he's still not really there yet because he just hasn't been able to play until this season. I think another underrated issue with this defense is not defending the short middle of the field super well. I was hoping we could see that improved with Jaden Hicks, but the kid just hasn't seen the field as much as I'd like. Leo Chenal has been awesome though, and I think he can be this defense's true Swiss army knife for some time. Offensive tackle scares the hell out of me, but Trey Smith has regressed as well, which is very concerning as he should be playing for a big time contract now. This O-line hasn't been great against stunts, and that was laid bare against teams like the Chargers, who are gonna be a pain in the Chiefs' rear end with Harbaugh and Minter, and the Bills. Hopefully this can be rectified once Hollywood Brown and Isiah Pacheco return and give some more dynamic options for moving the ball besides either Mahomes having to throw to a rookie Xavier Worthy or to some slow guy, or handing it off to an older Kareem Hunt who really needs some help.
Curious to know who in the AFC has a better pass rush than the Chargers or Steelers. Bosa, Mack, Tuli, Bud Dupree, Morgan Fox, Tart. They do have a weakness at wr outside of ladd, but I look around the afc and wonder who can consistently block the chargers and steelers upfront? Nobody😂
As a Packers fan I am not even slightly upset about the placing lol We are so mistake prone on offense and emaciated on special teams for me to feel comfortable saying we WILL beat Detroit or Philly
I’m a Packers fan, but there’s no way this team is making a deep playoff run. They’ve completely failed a filling the CB room with talent. The pass rush has drastically underperformed. The LB group is another year away. And the WRs are dealing with a lot of drops. Could we get hot like last year, sure, but I wouldn’t bet on it in a better NFC.
Hypothetically if the bucs make it (I think they have a good shot), where would you put them? I think they can actually surprise people and win a game or upset a major contender.
I love hearing Brett talk about the Lions losing to Philly because he always jinxes it when he thinks we will win. Keep Brett away from wanting the Lions to win so they don’t get the curse.
Ok, Philly negates ARSB. What do they do about LaPorta and Jameson Williams? Gibbs and D-Mo out of the backfield? And what does Hurts do against Branch and Joseph? I get there is a Fangio video in the works, and that is probably great against 28 teams, but not many teams have the play-caller and skill depth that Detroit does. Maybe Vic would own Detroit but that is a lot easier said than done.
One thing you really have to give the Bills credit for is they built their team specifically to beat KC. Their offense is prefectly designed to basically play a game of "find Trent McDuffie and slide to Chris Jones" because they can win everywhere else on offense and on defense the game plan is just to move Mahomes off his spot and get him to play fuck-n-chuck. Now, their biggest issue is that Baltimore can run it down their throat amd the steelers on defense can drag them into the mud, so they could wind up like the 2017 steelers where their entire season was focused on beating New England in the AFC championship game and they dont even get the chance.
I know the vikings aren't a perfect team, but having the ceiling that they have in this video seems to me more doubling down on their pre-season pick of them being the worst.
How many times does Buffalo beat Baltimore in the playoffs? Baltimore has beat buffalo one time since the mar and josh allen got drafted. What makes you think we can't beat them any given sunday? We were injured when we played them before
Listen, I love Brett and I usually look passed all the things I disagree with but the Ravens have 4 losses already, you really gotta stop acting like Lamar can win games on his own because he's failed to do that 25% of the season up to this point. You can love Lamar all you want but calm down on all that man
Loss by a toe to KC. strange blown lead to LV divisional loss to CLE who just beat PIT Divisional loss to PIT All by 1 score. If anything we've avoided the huge blowout wins that were leading us to being regular-season champs just to choke in the playoffs. This team knows adversity, this team knows it's gotta fight to win. It's taking Justin Tucker having the worst season of his career, the youngest DC in Ravens history in his first season, and a lot of penalties, for these losses to happen. These flaws still exist in all of their wins, and they are 7-4. If they can go 1-1 or 2-0 before their bye, they can easily coast to the AFCCG
@mars7304 I am not saying the Ravens arent good. I am saying that saying "Lamar good" is a stupid reason to justify a team so clearly lower than the other two. They can fight it out, but it's not "Lamar good" it's the entire offense is good
@@quantwomwhale5984 except the entire offense is not good, you're seeing Lamar elevate what would otherwise be an underperforming offense. Henry wouldn't be as good without Lamar, and you're severely DOWNPLAYING how great he's been outside of a few down moments (which literally every QB has had this season)
@mars7304 I am not saying Lamar is not amazing, he's truly top 3 and that's not really debatable. However I really can't see him, completely solo, carrying both that offense and that defense through an entire playoff bracket, especially considering that they are not getting the one seed.
@@quantwomwhale5984 who's stopping him? We just saw him play good enough to beat PIT if Tucker didn't miss 2 FGs. Of course he can't go out there and kick them himself, but he's played well enough for us to be undefeated. Our losses are due to a TE's toe, a bad pass defense letting LV come back, lost onside kicks, injuries to the secondary (against CLE), and penalties. You can't carry a team, it's hyperbolic. Just means he's literally doing everything he needs to do to put the team in position to win. The team just lets him down.
The vikings have a better record than the Packers and won head to head in lambeau. I don't know why people think the packers will go farther. Ppl gonna say "Sam Darnold" as if Jordan love isn't just as reckless with the ball
Talking about the Packers being the best of the Conference tier, meanwhile they were steamrolled by the Vikings at home until they started playing conservative...
They beat up on a injured Buffalo team. Baltimore is 1 in 3 against Buffalo. They're gonna win a game, especially when buffalo had all the people out that they had
I’m sorry did you just say that Mahomes is better than Burrow is right now? I beg to differ. Right now after 10 games Maholesn has 2400 yards passing , 7.0 YPA 240 YPG, 15 TDS, 11 interceptions, a 90 passer rating 167 rushing and 1 TD. Right now Burrow after 10 games has over 3000 yards, 7.4 YPA, 27 tds, 4 interceptions, 107.1 passer rating , and 150 rushing and 1 TD. Not even close. And both are completing 68 or more percent of their passes.
Uhh, the Browns, clearly. Weird spending over an hour to come to this conclusion.
Giants too now that DJ is gone
Yeah I mean, they beat an 8-2 team so they're basically better than 8-2 so they're basically 9-2 so basically they're going to the super bowl if you think about it
Agreed, they’re really just farming content at this point. Cleveland’s truth has fallen victim to that pursuit.

Who is he supposed to be throwing deep to? Worthy isn't always deep, and he's not always open, and he doesn't always catch.

As a Broncos fan, I want to give PS2 his flowers. The only true “lockdown” corner in the league, worth his contract and probably more than he got paid.
Should be in DPOY discussions categorically.
C’mon man.
I’d add Christian Gonzalez to the lockdown category, but Surtain is #1 for sure.
Commanders are about to feel the 'Kliff Kingsbury after Week 10' curse.
Washington hasn't won a playoff game since the 2005 season. Won or appeared in an NFC Championship game since the '91 season
Plus the Vikings beat the Packers... So I don't really get it 🤷♂️ and I'm a lions fan, Its not about us
I’m a Lions fan and I don’t get it either.

Army of Two reference in the year 2024 let’s gooo
I just replayed it with my girlfriend a couple months ago. That game is wild I don't know how I forgot about 9/11 being in it.
Well they did lose, because they did not have the opportunity to go for two to win it. So they lost to the Chiefs by a toe.
@dragondrew2000 fair enough lol
@mars7304 still taking a play for granted. A toe away from being down by 1
Like how they picked the Bills for AFC champ and talked 30 sec about them in total
It’s pretty clear why. They have a top 3 QB and they don’t even need him to play at his best to win
Sick thumbnail, spent many days of the youth blasting through co-op with my buddies
Hopefully people can stop pretending the Steelers are contenders after last night. Mike Tomlin lost another trap game and will probably continue to fall short in the playoffs because their DL and half of their secondary are the only championship-caliber things that they have
Update: conference round? No
Brett, as a Packer fan that enjoys the sport and watches every Pack game + plenty of the other games on the schedule, we cannot rush the passer.
Sounds about right
Packer fans are gay
The Ravens also remind me of the 2016 Falcons. Generational offense but a defense that can’t stop anyone.
Lamar is the most overrated player. Yes he’s top qb but if you need him to win a game look for another guy
37:57 are we watching the same Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow?
1:13:31 it’s Phantom, not Bentley.
Yeah, “clearly better RIGHT NOW” is insane
Let’s be honest, their is no neutral field with the lions. Every game is a home game lol
Sure when you play the afc south that’s true. Won’t be come January and February

His ceiling is playoff Joe Flacco, and his floor is playoff Ryan Lindley.
womp womp
Sirianni is dogshit. Absolutely terrible coach lol if Moore or Vic were the head coach they'd be in much much better shape
brett is officially on the board #onepride
That Brett guy is in love with the packers but i think this is an emotional attachment and not a logical one. Packers are just not that good. Their defense is pedestrian. Their rushing attack is elite, jordan love isnt, and their WRs drop way too many balls.
He’s literally on record that his second team behind the Texans is Chicago
im a steelers fan but i love this cardinals team. im excited for you guys. kyler hive rise up
Hey fellas! Loved the episode! Hate that I got to it so late, but here's my thoughts on what went wrong in Chicago;
Packers fans (which I, of course, am one) were foolish to take the Bears for granted in this spot; I hammered the Bears +6.5
Last year buffalo and Baltimore played very poorly against KC
Buffalo beat KC without TE1 and WR2, RT1, also missing LB1 still. Lost by a missed field goal last year
Chiefs are worse this year mostly just because they are missing Rice and Kelce is getting old
Absolutely legendary thumbnail
Go Birds!🦅Thanks guys! Great video!
Browns embarrassed & EXPOSED the Steelers. It’s over
I'll take you underrating the Commanders.
@1:12:00 I think you meant “cannot be overstated “.
Hey guys, legit request. Can you turn the volume up? On the video and spotify. I run on a busy road and sometimes still can’t hear at full volume.
I don’t get the packers love. They go on a rediculas run last year and now people think they will just do that again. That’s not how this works. People are all over the Steelers right now. I tune in last night and they get worked by the browns?
Cool patreon episode could be ranking all the non-playoff teams, or some of them, based on "how likely they are to spoil the dreams of others".
My AFC rankings:
1. Bills
2. Chargers
3. Chiefs
4. Steelers
5. Ravens
6. Texans
7. Broncos
In AFC side of playoffs, this means it would come down to Bills versus Chargers.
My NFC rankings:
1. Lions
2. Eagles
3. Vikings
4. Packers
5. Commanders
6. Cardinals
7. 49ers
8. Seahawks
9. Rams
10. Falcons
In NFC side of playoffs, this means it would come down to Lions v.
Wow the most mainstream espn take ever lol
I’m a Chargers fan, but ranking us at 2 is a little wild

So Brett says Vic will only give you the underneath stuff and make you go 10-12 plays? What do you think the lions do lol
Have to prove it against a contender.
with the Vikings only coming on top of the Bears by 3 in OT, I wonder if this changes the order, since the Packers not smacking the Bears was the justification for putting them in that spot on the rankings
even as a gb fan, though, I'm fine with where they were ranked. we are honestly also still in that montage phase, but pretty dang close to the end of the montage

I think we need to see that when it happens. Hopefully we get enough people on board so he has to do it.
How high is EJ thinking the Broncos can get to the conference championship? 😂
they're basically the chargers but worse lol.

I was hoping they would talk about how the returning chiefs might help these holes. Especially pass rush
Nobody😂
steelers. chargers probably cover better
As a Packers fan I am not even slightly upset about the placing lol
We are so mistake prone on offense and emaciated on special teams for me to feel comfortable saying we WILL beat Detroit or Philly
That's Cold.... "They need to lock Sirianni in a closet for 4 hours to win...." That's Cold... But true.
Hypothetically if the bucs make it (I think they have a good shot), where would you put them? I think they can actually surprise people and win a game or upset a major contender.
This was clearly before the Chiefs-Panthers game, since you forgot to mention Carolina 😤
Tee Higgins to the Chargers? 😋
Oops posted this before Brett said it
I love hearing Brett talk about the Lions losing to Philly because he always jinxes it when he thinks we will win. Keep Brett away from wanting the Lions to win so they don’t get the curse.
Lions defense injuries are starting to make me nervous.
Bo Nix had 2 NFL seasons games total when the Steelers played the Broncos. Let's see how they do against Nix and the Broncos now.
Matriculate down the field with Mark Andrews- somewhere, Hank Stramm approves this message!
You can love Lamar all you want but calm down on all that man
Loss by a toe to KC.
strange blown lead to LV
divisional loss to CLE who just beat PIT
Divisional loss to PIT
All by 1 score.
You’ll see my guy
@@parkerkavulich1042see what? They’ve already played and we’ve already seen it. Past tense.
Talking about the Packers being the best of the Conference tier, meanwhile they were steamrolled by the Vikings at home until they started playing conservative...
I love and respect yall but EJ saying Mahomes is "clearly better than Burrow" right now is maybe the worst thing I've ever heard either of you say
Correction: 2018 Chiefs had Bob Sutton as DC
Please don’t remind me lol
JUST IN TIME FOR MY DRIVE TO MY CLIENT LFG
Heads up this entire Buffalo contributor group is fully back next year except rasul and amari
with that von money clearly up, beane needs to bring em back 💪
When are you hitting another Bills Tailgate?
Jordan love makes the throw till he doesn’t. There’s no way the packers are a Super Bowl team
You mentioned LG for the Bears do you mean RG has Tev been really bad at LG this year?
Eh, as a Packers fan I’m not mad I think it’s fair to have em in the second tier. And I absolutely agree we’re better than the Vikings lol
Surprised Brett took the Eagles over the Lions. I don't trust Eagles coaching staff.
Fangio has these guys playing lights out, it's no accident. Defense wins championships and he is coaching as good as anyone right now.
It’s their qb that should scare you. Elite rosters with mid qbs usually don’t win in the playoffs
@@loganmapes2307that’s all of the nfc, some mid qb is going to the Super Bowl
@@kylewest4044 true tbf. Unless Jordan love can get back into late 2023 season form
