This is going to become The One for my son when he unwraps that in a similar rebind to your beautiful Paragraph edition in deep blue next birthday. Reason Number Five, my brother. It was a revelation. I am so jacked to do this for him.
I sold away my single column paragraph format ICR because the font is too small for me. Even this 9-point won’t be enough. I need at least a 10-point for comfort print because it always looks smaller than other fonts. So hopefully, TN will produce a large print in as small a footprint as possible 😂
My favorite is the Pitt Minion NKJV and the Wide Margin NKJV from Cambridge. I own these two. I love how I know the lay out and it's super easy for me to find the verses I'm looking for.
Those page edges are nice. It's like a mosaic design, almost. Sort of like what Zondervan were doing with the NRSV box art a couple years ago. I like the cover too.
Nice review as always. I would have pulled the trigger on this Bible over the Maclaren LP Blue Letter if this had been paragraph formatted. I love a text block that really keeps the text out of the gutter and ICRs do that the best.
The one compared in this video with the same references in the gutter and notes on the bottom is paragraph. But it’s no longer being printed. They do have them in stock though.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews That’s true. I guess I’m not much of a margin note taker, so all that extra width is unneeded real estate for me. Fussy, I know!
My green leathersoft is on order still, through a local Christian book store, with the thumb index. I'm thinking those edges will look great with the extra notches to break up the beautiful, but busy, gild pattern.
Thanks so much for another great review. Very helpful. I was sold... Until you mentioned that the red letters were a bit light. I can't stand red letter anyway, but I'll tolerate it if they're nice and dark. I'm still slightly intrigued, but disappointed. Thanks again for your labors.
It's a good-looking bible. I wish that publishers would just do black letter editions, because very few of them can get the red letter right on a consistent basis.
I just picked a two volume NT from a used book store. Looks like standard book size and font (like a novel format). Translated from the Greek by Richmond Lattimore of the Iliad and Oddysey fame. Looks to be published about 1982. The four Gospels in one volume starting with Mark. The second Acts to Revelation.
I know the video has not premiered yet. 😁 However, I have never been disappointed by a bible review on this UA-cam channel, and since I am considering purchasing a new NKJV reference bible, I am excited to get a Nickels worth of review on this bible.
I actually don’t mind it- I’d like it to have the introduction to ea. book but LOVE the red letter & verse by verse - I’m usually a 2 column with references in middle but this is nice maybe bc it looks so clean & the font is readable that’s huge to me
I prefer to have the cross references and textual footnotes separated too. That's the only thing I would change about my NKJV MacArthur Study Bible that I got for Christmas. Or I would take out the cross references and textual footnotes entirely. This is just my opinion but I don't think they're necessary in a Study Bible anyway since you have the study notes. But like I said, that's just my opinion.
Thomas Nelson does it again, Tim! But I would like to see this edition with blue letters and blue highlights.
Thank you for the review! Would look amazing if they could release it in their Premier Collection!
Thomas Nelson is doing great with the NKJV! Love it
OH wow!!! Hooray! I LOVE this Bible. Thanks for reviewing it Tim!

I love that cover style. I have it in black, 2 column, references in the verses.
Great video Tim.
Wooooo! 🎉 can't wait!

I plan on getting the hard cover for my desk and the leather-like version for church.
Thank you, Tim. Excellent review...can't wait for mine to arrive across the pond from CBD.

Glad I bought option A. ( in leather). But I do love verse by verse. TN is cranking out some great options for us! Thx Tim! 👍🙏🏻🥁

Exactly what I want...except I need a 10 -11pt font.
I want this with the wider margins of the SCR!
Love it, love it, love it.

Great review! Just bought one with your link. Didn’t mention if it’s edge-lined so I assume it’s not?
It is not.
Very nice looking single column. I see another rebind in my future now. 🤦🏻♂️
Very nice!! 😊

Agreed, but apparently we are in a minority.
Nice. I guess the elephant in the room is will they release this format in a Premium edition?
I’ve done my part to let them know!
I’ll be surprised if they do.
if they do, I sure hope they make it a black letter edition.
Thanks for your reviews:) Is there an NKJV with the Apocrypha? Thanks.
The Orthodox Study Bible is going to be the closest.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Thank You!

Super cool!
Very nice!
Dang. And I told my wife I was not going to buy any Bibles this year😊
NKJV💙
Could you do a review. Full cross reference NLT bible. Instead of notes on the bottom it has cross references printed out. Only on Amazon.
Don’t know of that one.
I will wait for Schuyler to bring out the NKJV Stridon.
Thank you, Brother Tim 🌹⭐🌹 Do you think TN will do an ICR in large print? Alles Gute und Frohes Neues.
Not sure. I’d say how this one sells will determine a lot.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews thank you,Tim🌞

What’s the ISBN on that first Bible that you had rebound?

Keep it in, no more of those are being printed so move now.

I Corinthians 14:1 NKJV
Great layout but I don't get all the love for the quavered edges. I find them to be gaudy.
Well…I like….love them…man.
I mean it looks great, it's just my least favorite format for a bible. I'm glad it exists though!
My feelings also.
Made in China?
Printed in China. Yes.
