    I have an Apple Watch SE 1st Gen. on WatchOS 10, and I found the double finger tap called “Quick Actions” under “Motor” section in the “Accessibility” settings. I’m using *only* “Quick Actions”, not the whole AssistiveTouch setting. Under “Quick Actions” I have it set to ON & Minimal. So far, the double finger tap has worked for stopping a timer & play/pause music & answering calls. It’s pretty decent even on the SE 1st Gen!

      Honestly its about selling the feature instead of it being new, the accesibility feature is ridiculously unreliable, the pinch or any other gesture worked 1 out of 10 times for me, which is disappointing. What I think is that this will be more reliable, thats why its now being considered a new feature, because the sensors are now capable of understanding it (or calculating would be a better word?)

    I’ve been using the Quick Action double-tap for almost as long as I’ve had my S8, and it works pretty great. I have noticed that it seems to be working even better since upgrading to watchOS 10. Which is always welcome 😃

    Just went from the s8 to the U2 for the battery gain. I thought the s8 was gonna be good enough but boy was I wrong. I was ending the day less than 10% battery. My job sometimes requires me to do doubles and the s8 wouldn’t even come close to making it. Very happy with my U2 right now even though it’s been a few days I can tell see a huge difference

    The level of excitement is rising every year from this tech community but the updates from the manufacturers are smaller and smaller ... not to mention the real improvements. All I can say is that these "new" updates are just some gimmicky things. I'm locked in the apple ecosystem and I don't consider myself a fanboy, I would switch to some other ecosystem ASAP. I'm really disappointed by the tech community with this year's release from apple....it's like they invented the boiled water.

      I will be switching to pixel 8pro or fold 2. I’m so tired of Apple giving me crumbs when I know they can do more. This years release was a penny pinching joke and I’m done

      It’s just like cars tho. Buying a new car every year isn’t normal, but manufacturers release new cars every single year. The “upgrades” are there for people looking to upgrade their 3-5 year old car or phone.

    I've heard that a person that worked on (created?) the hand waving is now working with Apple to make gesture control on the watch. It's going to get really interesting.

    The emphasis on internal upgrades rather than exterior changes really has me thinking. Do we value a product for its visual changes or its performance enhancements? While many are itching for a fresh design, Apple's decision might force consumers to prioritize what truly matters.

    • @AndrewPL5
      @AndrewPL5 Рік тому

      I like that question. I think for non-tech people the visual changes are what they're looking for, most of the time. For us tech people, we like the software/hardware features more vs design. I think about apple watch all the time and the bands, all watch bands are compatible with every apple watch ever made, which is a huge deal. Can you imagine they redesign the watch every year and your bands no longer work. People would be so upset. And of course you have the people not understanding that and wanting a redesign and not understanding what that would cause. Personally my thoughts are if it's not broken don't fix it. Most if not all apple products look great, why change the look constantly? Also apple is a huge brand, they want to make sure people have the time to recognize their products and look before they change the look again.

    The Apple events are getting boring even if they present cinematic shooting and keeping everything perfect. The on-stage announcements and keynotes were more engaging and exciting I guess. Also the “innovation” in their products has been turned just into “marketing”. Everything is now “marketing” and making more money out of products and services.

    I said it in another video, ill say it here. double finger tap will get tiresome - imagine tapping through several notifications.
    i would say, rubbing the finger and thumb would give it a better user experience and functions like turning the crown. that will be the next generation.
