    I like the way you start frying the onions and veggies on high heat without oil. Low fat folks often use too much liquid

    You're making the best of being "stuck" in Tucson.. I love Tucson and often think of moving there.. until this year, I usually travel there several times a year. I had cancelled a trip when the virus ramped up, or I might have been stuck there, too.. thanks for the great recipes. I love watching you..

    I finally gave in and made his pressed oyster mushrooms in my cast iron pan! Life changing! It is so meaty almost like a tender chicken leg but tastes better. Not sure how else to describe it.

    Great plant based recipe which I will have to try. Being vegan whole plant foods based enables me to have an adventure in the kitchen when it comes to food. I love my vegetables.

    If you don't want your rice to clump up like some of it did in the video, make sure you use rice that has already been cooked and sat in the fridge for a while. Aim for anywhere between a few hours, to a day+. The fridge pulls moisture out of it which helps keep the grains separate.

    Tucson, how I miss Tucson! ❤️ Worse places to be locked down. I am bidding my time in Montpelier, VT where we have had to do battle with the Dept. Of Ag to keep the Farmers Market open. We have a grower Mansfield Mushrooms who provides us with delicious varieties. Looking forward to this recipe.

      @@Danirio96 it's probably fine, it meshes well with the sweetness of the Teriyaki sauce. If you ever substitute the Teriyaki with Soy sauce, you may want to choose something more savory than sweet corn

      You bet you can! Portobellos are much denser, so you'll either want to slice them up or spend extra time pressing them to get the extra water out before saucing them and popping them in the oven.

      This recipe shows a “fried rice” style of preparing rice. Obviously there are many variations with all things in cooking, but traditional fried rice recipes use animal products such as egg, butter and oyster sauce.
