Hey man, enjoyed the story. Loved the editing and environments the most though. I have a quick question, as an aspiring stopmotion film maker. I'm wondering what application, app, or program are you using to make these?
Hey! Thanks a bunch! I use the free Stop Motion Studio app on my iPhone to capture each frame. The app features "onion skinning" which lets you see the last image with low opacity over what your camera is currently viewing. This lets you see your previous shot as your taking a new one. The app also lets you preview your clip. Maybe one day I'll upgrade to an actual DSLR camera for shooting lol. Each clip is exported as a .MOV file which I import into my After Effects on my Mac. It is there that I add any effects I need like lasers or the dust or to remove green screen. It's a powerful tool that I use to capture multiple objects moving in front of a green or blue screen individually, and compile together into a single shot. Each white clone you see in this stop motion is the same one lol, just composited into one scene. In After Effects you can change the colors of the objects but it helps to have proper lighting (and consistent lighting so that they all look like they came from the same set). After I'm finished adding effects and compositing figures and objects together with a background, I export the scene as a .MOV file by default (which takes up SOO much space for some reason). I convert it to an .mp4 file to save memory and scrap the original .MOV file. Then I compile all scenes in Adobe Premiere Pro one after the other and add music and sound effects. I use Adobe Audition to record my voice and alter it to sound like a clone trooper voice. Then I export the finished product as a .mp4 :D. BTW to convert the big .MOV file exported from After Effects, I cheat and import the .MOV file into a blank Premiere Pro project and export it as H264 or .mp4.
i guess im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any tricks you can offer me
I didn't see that coming when the bridge crew was sucked into space and the clone's unique sacrifice. RIP Love your work! Your editing, stopmotion, story writing, and use of actual audio from the show is SUPERB! Keep it up!
The idea of him having to take the helmet off in order to push off of something in a zero gravity environment was great. Too bad Clone action figures are so restrictive otherwise you could've had it so he was forced to strip all of the armor plating and the helmet off and then fight with only the black under suit on
This made me cry. Used to watch Star Wars the clone wars all the time, and this took me right back to it. It brings me to tears knowing that those times are over. Thanks, and great stop motion!!!
Unfortunately the only clone with a blaster got hit and drifted off into the void. The blue trooper sergeant didn't have a blaster so he had to think of another way to send a force in the opposite direction :(
First i want to say: nice stop motion you can tell that you've put much work into this. I love it. And then i wanted to ask if there are any “MOCs“ like those with Lego but with action figures and vehicles like these? U know, basically only a scene/one picture no moving etc. but as huge as some of those Lego MOCs. Would be very interesting to see because they would look way more real than the lego.
OH YES they charge an arm and a leg nowadays :( And figures these days just aren't stop-motion worthy. The thing is...sometimes I do pay the price for that one figure I need :/

I love It! We really need more stop motions with republic frigates and ships, BTW Where did you get that Navy Officer? The clone Is using an Admiral Insignia, when the Officer In-command of a ship Is a commander For the next one I recommend using a Sergeant Uniform for the sergeant...than..uh..a 501st. Edit: Ah, You sent the 501st. My error, But I would've then only put ONE sergeant and not two, And also...That's a diplomatic Frigate, Not a Republic Frigate xD , Unarmed two 8-person pod- Wait We see only 5 clones In one?
Thanks so much! I realize the admiral uniform doesn't make sense for clones. The truth is, I borrowed Admiral Yularen's body for filming. I didn't want to modify his insignia because then I would lose my Yularen so I just went with the simple head swap instead. As for the sergeant he was a member of the 501st and thus adorned blue markings. But this was during a time when clones were rushed into units fresh out of training. The rookie unit was just assigned to the 501st and had not received their signature blue unit markings. Some of the troopers at the briefing did have the markings, showing that they have been a part of the unit for some time. The sergeant had his unit markings as he was the most veteran of course. In the animated series clone officers vary extensively with what markings they have. As seen in the Rookies episode (S1E5), the sergeant of that unit had no markings on his armor. He pretty much looked just as everyone else did, but somehow we're supposed to know he's a sergeant lol. The only way we can tell is when his helmet is taken off. Another example is in the movie released in 2008. At the Battle of Teth there was a trooper with blue markings who was referred to as a sergeant in the unit, subordinate to Rex of course. In my film I decided to make a custom face to show the sergeant apart from the rest of the troopers. All other blue 501st clones had the regular face. And in the escape pod, it helped that the sergeant was the only one with blue anyways. To be honest lol it was also an editing strategy as I only had one blue clone in my collection. He was duplicated to form the rest of the blue guys. I just swapped his head and bam, he became a unique veteran. I could've used the phase 1 green color for sergeant but during this part of the Clone Wars it seemed more units used color to distinguish unit rather than rank. Rex wears blue like a lieutenant yet he is a captain. I'm glad you notice details like this! I'm a sucker for looking at all the small details as well :D.
RLAP Corporation - Pinewood Wait what second sergeant? There’s only one. Yeah the red cruiser is a diplomatic one lol I couldn’t find a small model that was gray.
