You are by far my FAVORITE tuber on beeswax candle making and etc. You are easy to follow - educational and entertaining. God bless you and I look forward to making new projects with you! 😊
Thank you for the creative video on making beeswax candles. Your techniques, safety aspects, and decorating ideas and tips were well liked. Hand dipping long tapered candles is challenging but very rewarding when actually getting the hang of it and well received and rewarded with gratitude and appreciation to the ones I would give to as gifts, the friends and family I care for. Thanks
What a wonderfully informative video! Thank you so much for taking the time to create it. The way you showed common problems is brilliant and I love the decorative ideas you showed at the end!
Thank you for the video. I love to hear the Hawaii bird sounds in the background, it reminds me of our trip to Maui. Can't wait to try this out for gifts this year.
Thank you! Beeswax is so much fun. I could make a 100 videos about things to do with beeswax and an added bonus is that if you're a beekeeper, it's free!
This was a super informative and easy to follow video! Thanks so much for sharing! I worked alongside your video and made my first 2 candles this morning.
Thank you for sharing. I have made candles with my beeswax before, however I never added coconut oil to them. My next batch I will. I feel much better seeing your crock pot...mine looks about the same, but does the trick. Enjoy your videos very much.
Hah! Yes, my crock pot isn't pretty, but it works :) Thank you for watching and for the comment! It's always nice to hear from people watching my videos. Let me know how the candles come out with the coconut oil added.
I just loved your video on candle making. Can you show us how to do the tall candlesticks on your next video? And how do we collect the wax. I am a new bee keeper. Love your videos.
Thank you! To collect the wax, you will either have a bunch of squished honeycomb from a honey harvest or from honeycomb not being used in teh beehive anymore. I made a video showing how to harvest this and melt it down to make a clean piece of wax in these videos (it's a three part series) step 1- ua-cam.com/video/Pw3yLHxAQ10/v-deo.htmlsi=Xx_WtTFPANYZEn2w step 2- ua-cam.com/video/TDKhPm3LnmI/v-deo.htmlsi=kHtuCBuv1UPKDGCX step 3 - ua-cam.com/video/TDKhPm3LnmI/v-deo.htmlsi=vb8MZ4hSWEO_VSfN I, actually, have never made beeswax candlesticks other than the ones you make from rolling a sheet of beeswax foundation. You need a really tall, metal container and have to heat up a lot of wax. I never wanted to buy the equipment for it because candle sticks weren't big sellers at the farm I worked for. But thank you for the suggestion and if I ever look into making candle sticks I will definitely make a video about it.
Thanks! I bought a spool of candle wick from Mann Lake years ago and am still using it. I've also bought it from amazon when looking for a small amount.
I have no issue with a hot plate and the pour pitcher to melt bees wax. Just have to be logical about adjusting the temp. So much easier than double boiler and dealing with water.
So you put a pitcher of wax directly on the heat? I would assume that would take considerably longer because you only heating up the bottom of the wax and you can't just put it on high heat to make it go faster but Thank you for the comment.
I haven't, but just because it's taking me forever to get through these bags of cotton wicks 'i already bought. I wonder how fast they burn. They look pretty nice.
Gosh! The smell of Beeswax is heavenly❣️ How could anyone possibly prefer ghastly neurotoxin Fragrance Oils over that beautiful natural aroma. Shows how perverse society has become 🤔
I love it too! I will warn you though I've seen a few videos on UA-cam where people are boiling wax to melt it down and clean it. When you melt wax too high, definitely to the point it's bubbling, you are burning it and burnt wax doesn't smell as nice as beeswax that wasn't burnt (and won't burn as nicely in a candle). And then there's the perfectly yellow wax for sale on amazon. Where is this yellow wax coming from? After 13 years of beekeeping, my wax is NEVER this shade of yellow. I just don't know how some of these big companies clean their wax and I'm sure it affects the scent released when people burn candles made with them.

That comment made my day! Thank you so much for the kind words 🙂

Hi there, candle maker here. A heat gun works amazing to help remove wax on the surface and on equipment at the end of the process. 💛
Thanks for the tip!

Thank you! What a wonderful compliment!

LOL I don't even notice the birds in the background anymore :) Thanks for watching! Let me know how they turn out :)
Great tips!! I'm new to this world of beeswax and this was very helpful

This video was so helpful... thank you so much

Wonderful! I am so happy to hear that.
Informative, interesting video! 💛🐝 So glad we found your channel. 🫶
Great tips! Thank you.
Candle toppers are also very good at making a container candle to burn cleanly and burn all the wax. Looks nice too.
Thanks for the comment! I'll have to try it.
Thank you for another great video. 😊

Thanks for an excellent video.
Glad you liked it!
Wow, lots of information. Bummed I can't save it though for future reference.
Good one, thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it

Love the video. You give amazing instructions and so detailed. Where do you purchase your wicks at?
Thanks! I bought a spool of candle wick from Mann Lake years ago and am still using it. I've also bought it from amazon when looking for a small amount.
What's your opinion on wood wicks with beeswax?
I think they look really nice, but I've never tested them next to a cotton wick to see if they burn at the same speed. Have you used them before?
I have no issue with a hot plate and the pour pitcher to melt bees wax. Just have to be logical about adjusting the temp. So much easier than double boiler and dealing with water.

Finally very easy to follow!!! Godbless you more!
Have you ever tried using a wooden wick??
I haven't, but just because it's taking me forever to get through these bags of cotton wicks 'i already bought. I wonder how fast they burn. They look pretty nice.
Can we make candles without coconut oil...?
Why you add coconut oil?
How much scent will be used
Thank you! Good luck with your bees. If you can, try to find a beekeeper to shadow . It will make getting started much easier.
