I love the gray with the mustard pillows. It makes the pillows show better. Love your comforter. Do what YOU love! You could always make a slip cover for it if you want a change. I love your closet doors!! Will keep cats out also. You are making great progress. The craft corner is perfect by your desk. I sew, crochet, & embroider. I am making gifts for my extended family & working on a crocheted afghan right now. Making pillowcases of kid fabrics I get on sale for grands & great grands & found books at Ollies for them. I can't spend a lot. I crocheted them all animals a couple years ago. They love the pillowcases that I do in their favorite interests. You are getting your steps in for sure! Prayers for your anxiety, etc. I too have that. God has certainly helped me through a lot of changes. My husband of 35 years committed suicide it will be 12 years ago on December 23rd. Holidays are hard. Doing everything myself is hard. just plain hard. But with much prayer & leaning on God, I am making it one day at a time. There have been times I just wanted to go to bed & did. Crafting, reading, praying, walking help. I like the beach but way too far from me. Having friends like you helps also. You are a ray of sunshine. I am currently getting my house fixed up to sell. We built in 1983..breaks my heart, but need to downsize. It is scary for me and very overwhelming. We have been Moms for many years and nurtured our families. As they leave home, it is like losing part of yourself. I wonder where I will move to. I feel safe here. Look to Jesus! He knows & carries us when we can not walk as in The Footprints poem. I believe He is coming soon. Heaven will surely be worth it all. Prayers for you dear friend, hugs & love.❤😊
I really relate with the end where you point many important things like, if you have a roof over your head, warm blankets and food you’re blessed! We have a lot to be grateful for, it’s okay to take your time. We need to be responsible about our food with current prices. Thank you for all the reminders of priorities for putting people first and filling our cup. Yes, it does take emotional energy and I often forget that.
Keep the doors! I think it is more restful on the eyes to see wood doors. You are just getting into this space and will get it just the way you want in time. And then reorganize it again.. because it is fun and life is always changing 😂 I like the blue and gold too.
Karen, getting you craft stuff sorted and upstairs is so neat; your room is getting good. We're having a beautiful fall day here on the Washington State Peninsula. Beautiful sunrise, but very suddenly cold. Your walk with Rachel will be wonderful I'm sure. Cheers
Just have fun mixing up the pillow combinations each week. It looked good the first way and then I also love the combination of mustard yellow and navy blue. Your thinking about resale value is absolutely right, especially since you're seriously thinking about downsizing. Happy crafting!
As you are using the paints you could paint the tops of the caps with the color that is in the container. That way you will be able to find the color you need quickly.
It might be fun to put your sea shells in a large glass or acrylic jar so you can see them....I have some in a jar, and some in a drawer that I was just thinking I should get them out so they are visible...
I like all the combinations of the pillows. The blue switcheroo, (see what I did there,😉), of the pillows was a lovely unexpected combination. If you do decide to take off the doors, no need to get rid of them. Just store them down stairs for now until you decide sell. I removed my bifold doors in two of the upstairs bedrooms and I keep them down stairs. One of the closets has an IKEA armoire in it to organize the clothing. It acts like a closet 😊system with shelving and a place to hang clothing. The wooden doors are beautiful, but not so easy to get to all your stuff inside. It would be nice to open up and see everything at once. 😊
I would remove the closet doors and then put them back for selling. The botheration of taking down/putting back would be worth it to me to forego the daily annoyance of not being easily able to access the closet completely. Thanks for showing us that it's ok to take your time and not get discouraged because a task takes some ingenuity to complete.
Definitely keep the doors. Curtains, as a buyer, would tell me, that’s something I would have to fix. Also, I would say no to the gray pillow but intermixing the blue and gold works.
Oh goodness, you asked and the advice comes up clear as mud. I like the look of the doors wven though they seem like a hassle. But only for a moment each day. The grey pillow ties into the headboard, I say keep. I like the orange/blue switch but maybe a second orange on the bed. We'll have to see it with the striped shams. Your bedroom is looking so nice, glad you are curating a beautiful space to retreat to. 🌻🍄
I like spreading some of the blue onto the bed. But I would bring the long grey pillow to the chair with the small mustard pillow and use two blue squares in the place of the grey.
Karen, your bedroom is coming together really well now and is nicely organised by zone. I think the baskets by your desk for all your crafts are a good option. They make that area look neat and provides a good boundary. You asked about the bed pillows, personally I think the dark blue cushions would look better kept on the love seat, as they are too dark against the neutral colours of the bed. I’d keep the long grey pillow on there because it matches the grey comforter and the headboard of the bed. Keep both decorative mustard on pillows together and add the mustard pillow shams that match the comforter. Regards the doors, don’t take them off as they are good quality, curtains on closets aren’t nice in my opinion. Also, like you said you definitely need a new solid metal or wooden hanging rail rather than that bendy shelf.
I use a basket to put thing l have in basement to carry upstairs also. I'm 76 so l put laundry in a bag n throw down steps to laundry, wash clothes and bag n carry it up in sections so l can hold on.
I love your channel. It makes me happy to start my day here in Norway watching you❤ I would removed the doors. You can store them so they can be used in future. I am a butterfly in organization, so doors are a block for me😅
I love those closet doors. They are beautiful. I think at some point you could do a his and hers closet and fit all your clothes in there. It is not utilized to its full potential.
Hellooo Karen, gosh your craft space is looking good in that corner,it all really seems to be coming together now, I really like the blue, grey and mustard! They compliment each other so well. The doors on your closet would bother me,the keep sliding them out of the way but they serve a purpose, they hide away the storage in there and make the room look more put together and thought out than a random curtain, just my thoughts of course so even though they’d bug me I’d be keeping them😂. How can we be in Autumn/ Fall already! Crazy how fast the year goes by. Much love my friend.🥰🥰🥰
On the doors on the closet - IF the room works better for you NOW with curtains, then put up curtains and store the doors in the basement for whoever may buy the house at some point in the future. Make decisions based on where you are now, and not on what may or may not happen…. Big changes for you this year in your personal routine. Losing a role, like homeschooling, that you have carried for many years can be simultaneously liberating and anxiety provoking. Hang in there. Now you are homeschooling all of your subscribers!!! Your classroom actually has grown to thousands…
We took the closet door off in my daughter’s bedroom and added a curtain on a tension rod. We have the door stored in the basement so we can put it back on if we sell.
I love ❤️ the doors I think wood doors look elegant if you did not have the doors it would look unfinished and you would make think oh that is something you would have to fix and finish
I have done counted cross stitch for many years. I recently starting diamond painting. You should try it . I love it Bet your daughters would love it too.
Yes. Do not put curtains up in your closets. If you can create a double French door, that would work better. I thought I saw one of your closets like that. The cubby could hold a great deal more and you can curtain it off or use a Chinese room divider if you put your cosmetics at your desk. Try to pair them down to a small cosmetics bag. Store the rest out of sight.
My wife thru the years collected the smaller pinecones.......she would hang them on a clothesline & spray them gold. She would also use them as a decorations on the fireplace mantel & many more ideas.....! She says "Have "!!!!!!
I think replacing the bent shelf inside the closet would be a higher priority than doing anything with the doors. It's frustrating when your space isn't how you want it, but I hope that you will wake up one day and find it cozy after working on it little by little.
I really enjoy the mustard and blue. Even before you swapped the pillows, I thought it would be good to do so. Also- on the closet doors- if for sale- then yes you need doors but for everyday living I would have to remove those bad boys. They just don’t open wide enough for your needs. If I had a Pinterest worthy closet- I’d leave it open but since I don’t- I’d use curtains.
I've watched you for a long time but rarely comment. Keep up the wooden doors. IMO curtains would not be as nice and with pets they would always have free access to your closet. I like the navy with the mustard and I think the grey is ok too if you're using the pillow. If the grey pillow is just decorative, I would store it for now. Take care.
They were wild flowers we planted! It was little bunches at a time with something always blooming but always little flowers. She enjoyed it very much though and is already planting next year’s gardening!
Re closet- i see your point regarding having a curtain is cheapening the closet. They are nice doors. I think the issue is only being able to see one side at a time. Maybe doors that open out instead of sliding work work?
I would take the gray pillow off the bed. Doors on the closet, yes. But have doors that open up instead of the sliding ones. They make it difficult to access the closet. Bi-fold doors?
What about hanging a curtain were your makeup area and extra supplies are. I would keep your closet doors. I like the pillows, what about a small throw blanket the same color as the rosette pillow, to place on the navy chair.
If you remove the lids from the paint, touch your fingertip inside the lid and then to the outside top of lid, you’ll be able to see at a glance what colors they are.
It looks like your rod that hangs up your clothes in your closet is going to go SOUTH any day. I took mine out and put up a wood rod and it made all the difference.
I pray for you every time Jesus reminds me to. ❤ My craft hobbies are drawing, watercolour painting, colouring (only super simple images. Othervice It is not relaxing to me ). If my arms get better I will crochet and knit again. I also love simple crosswords. Today I ordered a new doorbell for my cat. (Sensor, not button.) It is getting too cold to have the window wide open for her. If you have not done it, maybe ask your doctor for estrogen? Menopause often cause anxiety and depression.
100% wood closet doors on at home sale time. Often they can be removed from the track but then of course you have to find a spot to store them till needed again. 😍
I'd replace the sliding doors on the closet with bi-fold doors. The sliding doors are very awkward and make the closets seem much smaller than they are. I think it would be an upgrade for resale. If you're not sure, ask a realtor.
I would keep the doors on your wardrobes. Curtains look super tacky and cheap in my opinion. I hope 2025 is a wonderful healing year for you. Much love xx
Keep the doors - they are stunning! It’s part of the home’s history ❤
I love the gray with the mustard pillows.

Yes for sure!! 😍
I love the solid doors better than a curtain. they are beautiful
I like the gray pillow. Keep the closet doors.
That little switch made a big difference looks very pretty
Thanks!
Keep the doors! I think it is more restful on the eyes to see wood doors. You are just getting into this space and will get it just the way you want in time. And then reorganize it again.. because it is fun and life is always changing 😂

I like the gray pillow❤
Keep the closet doors😊
Keep the wood doors. The blue on the bed look good and keep the grey too.
Take care🧡
You did a good job cleaning up your room. I like the bed the best with the gray pillow & the two yellow/orange pillows in front.
Just have fun mixing up the pillow combinations each week. It looked good the first way and then I also love the combination of mustard yellow and navy blue. Your thinking about resale value is absolutely right, especially since you're seriously thinking about downsizing. Happy crafting!
Hi Karen, I would focus on fixing the inside of the closet and leave the doors! ❤
As you are using the paints you could paint the tops of the caps with the color that is in the container. That way you will be able to find the color you need quickly.
Thanks for the tip! 😃
@@ThisMainerMomor of course store them upside down🥴Lizzie x

Karen, I love to paint rocks and I also make some wreaths! I’m trying to declutter my craft room but I’m having a really hard time! Pray for me! Lol

The botheration of taking down/putting back would be worth it to me to forego the daily annoyance of not being easily able to access the closet completely. Living or selling either on I like the wood doors!
So wise words in the end ❤
😂 I was thinking you should put two blue cushions on the bed and a mustard on the sofa!!!
Definitely keep the doors. Curtains, as a buyer, would tell me, that’s something I would have to fix. Also, I would say no to the gray pillow but intermixing the blue and gold works.
I like blue and mustard on both bed and sitee.
Keep the doors on!

Yep, yesterday I cleaned the floor of my pantry. Today I did two shelves in the pantry and tomorrow I will probably do the other two shelves.
I like spreading some of the blue onto the bed. But I would bring the long grey pillow to the chair with the small mustard pillow and use two blue squares in the place of the grey.

I threw seeds of Nasturtiums sp onto dirt n they came up n have beautiful flowers everywhere. I did it late in season too.
Nice to see slow, steady progress 👍
I love those closet doors. They are beautiful. I think at some point you could do a his and hers closet and fit all your clothes in there. It is not utilized to its full potential.
I am a scrapbooker! But I also dabble in variety of crafts: clay, paint, fabric, anything I need to achieve the desired look that speaks to me!

I have often wondered about it! Maybe I will! 😃 Winter is coming so that would be a great time to do these relaxing crafts!

Definitely keep the doors on the closets. Curtains are dust collectors. ✌ No to the blue pillow on the bed. Both yellow looked better on the bed.
By the way, membership - yay. 😊
Your bed looks nice! Actually the gray pilliw looks loog with your head board! It is a journey! But fun watching it all. !
Thank you!!
Speaking of gardens, how did Rachel’s flower garden grow? Were they wild flowers?
They were wild flowers we planted! It was little bunches at a time with something always blooming but always little flowers. She enjoyed it very much though and is already planting next year’s gardening!
Keep the
Gray pillow on the bed

Doors on the closet, yes. But have doors that open up instead of the sliding ones. They make it difficult to access the closet. Bi-fold doors?
Use a small tension rod for that little area
Keep doors for selling purposes, yes!
Keep the gray pillow. It picks up the gray in the bed
Thanks!
If you were selling, doors are better for closets.
I don't like the blue pillow on the bed, but it is your house, so if you like it, keep it that way.
What about hanging a curtain were your makeup area and extra supplies are. I would keep your closet doors. I like the pillows, what about a small throw blanket the same color as the rosette pillow, to place on the navy chair.
The doors are beautiful and I find them more functional. Curtains collect dust and pet fur and I find them annoying to open and close.
I refer doors to curtains.
If you remove the lids from the paint, touch your fingertip inside the lid and then to the outside top of lid, you’ll be able to see at a glance what colors they are.
Keep the wood doors. I vote to remove the grey pillow after u cover your 2 bed pillows with the mustard pillowcases.
Will you be doing a craft video? I'd love to see how to make a pinecone swag!
Yes I’ll do that! 😍
❤
It looks like your rod that hangs up your clothes in your closet is going to go SOUTH any day. I took mine out and put up a wood rod and it made all the difference.
def doors for a buyer... but are you selling soon??
Never sure but would love to next spring!
Keep wood doors! I do not like look of curtains over closets. Just dust catchers!
Sweetie, you wake up too early! Only reason I'm up is my husband's Dental Appt.

I'd replace the sliding doors on the closet with bi-fold doors. The sliding doors are very awkward and make the closets seem much smaller than they are. I think it would be an upgrade for resale. If you're not sure, ask a realtor.
Keep the doors. I think curtains look cheap.
I'd get rid of the gray pillow.
I prefer doors over curtains on the closet, I think curtains just don't look as put together.
I think the grey pillow needs to go.
I would keep the doors on your wardrobes. Curtains look super tacky and cheap in my opinion.

I personally do not like curtains used as doors. You are constantly moving them, as the move more than doors.
Only my opinion but too many pillows.
