I recently met Rim Chung on the Arkansas river. I had some size 20 rs2’s in my box and he said “too big.” Pulled out a 24 from his box and gave it to me.
i know Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost the account password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Rayan Grayson Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
700 dozen out of a package of 2.50 Super Fine, now only if we could buy 700 dozen TMC 101's for that price. No mind I tied RS 2's I like this one, super cheap and the materials are everywhere. I tie all my Griffiths Gnats on the 101 from # 18 on down to 26. I have a dedicated box full of them. Along with Adams, I catch a lot of trout. My fishing logs show me over 50 years there is less than a dozen patterns I catch 98% of my trout on.
Thanks as always Charlie. I struggle with the dubbing, keeping it thin and tight to the thread, especially when I start to wrap. How do you do it? Any dubbin wax involved? Help?!
Hey Charlie! I spend a lot of time on the Taylor/Gunny, have you done a video on tying a Blue Winged Olive? I tie way more nymphs than dry flies and I’d love to see how you tie those! Thanks in advance!
Actually, this is a Polly Rosborough pattern from the late 1930s. The only difference is Polly did not use paint brush bristles for a tail. Nest to the Casual Dress, it is Polly's most famous fly. It should be called the Rosborough Style 2.
Tyson, typically fished as a nymph with some split shot down on the bottom, but you could grease it with flotant and fish it dry as well, but it’ll be very hard to see.
I usually put it behind a larger dry fly keeping it right in the film of the water (so i can see if something eats it) or i put it under an indicater as an emerger. Tailwaters of colorado it is a go to
Love the details on your video. Thank u for sharing these techniques.

Hi, George. What are your dozen flies?
I wish I could narrow mine down to a dozen flies! I'm sure that took a while to do!
I hope I get that great someday....
I tied with Charlie Fok-in Craven 😎 Looking forward to your Rusty series 👌
Charlie great tutorial.. crazy question… does and is the RS2 supposed to float a bit??
Thanks as always Charlie. I struggle with the dubbing, keeping it thin and tight to the thread, especially when I start to wrap. How do you do it? Any dubbin wax involved? Help?!
Should always have some of these wherever you go , as Charlie says they will catch fish :-)
Tying since the seventies but I learned two cool little tips in watching this video. Thanks
How is this fished? As a dry, nymph?

Thank you for the great videos. If you are taking requests would you add the Barr's Vis-a-Dun to the cue?
By the way Charlie- that RS2 is awesome. Don't worry about what the camera seeing a little fuzzy body lol.
Can polypropylene yarn work ok for the wing? Or is Antron best
Poly yarn works my friend. So does deer hair…pretty much any time you have such a question you should just tie it and try it.
Charlie, do you think Coq De Leon can be used in lieu of the fibrettes?

Actually no
Do you just fish this one as a dry? Been fly fishing several years, but haven't added this to my box.

will you tell us how to fish the flies as well? Is this a dry? a dropper? both? neither?
how does everybody prefer to fish this?
I use it wet and dry on my tail waters. It is a great fly. Size 20-24.
I usually put it behind a larger dry fly keeping it right in the film of the water (so i can see if something eats it) or i put it under an indicater as an emerger. Tailwaters of colorado it is a go to
what does it mimic? caddis? mayfly?
midge
Mayfly. Tails are giveaway
