OMG! What a dynamite practice! I'm an 83-year-old woman tired of doing yoga postures, so I stopped doing them and now have lost a lot of my core strength and balance. I may not be able to do all of your workout, but I'll do what I can. Who knows, I may become a Ninja granny!
I've literally just discovered this - this is the first time since I was a kid that I've had the experience of being totally focused on what I'm doing whilst exercising. Loved it!
Thank you so much for this wonderful practice! After trying a variety of practices, from basic gym, all types of yoga, pilates, crossfit...I was looking for something that would engage my entire body and give me this kind of liberation...I have just found about this kind of movement a few weeks ago, but I believe this is our original way of being! So excited to dive deeper!
My wife and me both love it both veterans with spine surgery’s. You helped us to not hurt so bad I like how active this exercise is for a stretch. Thank you.
Looooved this~ truly felt the endorphins with these movements. There’s something so satisfying and delightful about mastering the body and gaining the combination of strength and mobility. It feels like physical freedom and liberation 💪✨
You are such a GRRRRRREAT teacher, Kellen. I'm not here to tell you how to run your business, but I think you deserve a LOT MORE subscribers. I mean, you currently have 328K views -- and only 78.2 subscribers. I think it would be helpful to put more emphasis -- like "clicking the like button" and "please subscribe, this really helps me" etc., blah blah. I'm on board to recommend you to everybody I know. Very much responding to Dee Davis and Hedwigmayer et al!! -- YES!!!
Hi Calen (I hope I made no mistake in the spelling), this is really a great video you made, incredibly efficient and rewarding... I am 65 now, accustomed to Yoga and Pilates practicing, still missing flexibility and mobility with stiff hamstrings. I think this video is clearly not for beginners, I struggle with several movements even during the warm-up. But progress comes up with slow motion (some movements down to 25% speed !!). And I was happy this morning to come through the whole session, in great form !! Thanks a lot Christophe
Me: "this movement stuffs not too hard!" You: "ok so that's the warm up over" Me: "oh shit." Seriously though, been really wanting to start a more primal and natural movement practice and really enjoyed that! Challenging and exciting. I look forward to more of your videos xx
I did this workout instead of my usual yoga practice this morning. I loved it. As adults, we usually don't give ourselves the opportunity to play when we exercise. This was a refreshing change to how I will approach exercise. Thank you
This was amazing to follow. As my first time practicing primal movements, I’m breaking a sweat right now, but I am so excited to continue to explore the basic movements of human nature that seem to be lost on this generation with our sedentary jobs and modern comforts. I’m so excited!!! Thanks for sharing
If you choose to take on no other method of bodily exercise this is it. The knowledge and wisdom of human movement made simple, effective , immediately accessible and perfect for continued flexibility and conditioning even if you only do the first 10mins. Huge props to Kellen for making his expertise accessible to all those who tune-in.
Thank you very much for this endorsement, Steve! Our current culture of exercise has serious limitations. I get that this style of practicing movement goes against the grain and people won't always "get it". I've learned that everyone has to come to it in their own time - whether it be from getting older, an injury, or just seeking something deeper. Whatever it is, I'm proud to put out these resources to help people on the journey. Best wishes to you!
I never knew Animal Flow movement can help so much in terms of foundation and daily practical use and lets not even talk about Core strength. This is such an amazing way to work out the whole body both physically, mentally and spiritually. Thank you!
14/5/24 It's been ages since I practiced with MVPL. I focussed on choreography and cycling since the year started. The crawling 2-point balance was the most challenging of them all. Thanks Kellen 4 the practice
I loved practicing these drills when I learning Brazilian Jujitsu. Very instrumental in the training and even now I practice these and similar movements and methods as a part of my lifestyle.
I feel like this is what the internet was created for. I loved this practice. As a past dancer I get so bored with traditional workouts. Each rep brought greater depth and understanding. 🙏🙏Thank you!
Thanks so much, Tonia! Couldn't agree more, I'm happy to use UA-cam to invite people to get up and move. Best wishes to you as you continue to explore! 🙏🏽✌🏽
Again got back to it after a couple of months and just feeling the movements so smooth! Great to see my progress. Best UA-cam channel by far 🙂 Consistency is key
Why am I just learning about this now?! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for: mind body connection with strength, flexibility, and cardio all rolled in one workout. Definitely going to include this is my fitness routine on a regular basis. Please keep sending videos!
Just finished this flow tonight and was surprised how challenging it was. A good complement to an otherwise repetitive yoga practice, which is always linear and sagittal in movement. Flow sequences, at least for me, are more responsive to the natural and organic patterns of life. Cheers coach! 🙏😀
Oh I totally go off the rails in yoga classes haha. There are so many options across patterns and planes...not to mention what can happen when we begin interacting with the environment, including other people. Happy to hear you're exploring your practice! Keep on!
Very cool! And lots more videos for you to make your way through. Definitely check out my free 10-day course too - it's a great foundation in the movements and concepts that will help you get more out of the practices on this channel. Cheers!
i am 35 years into TKD and strengthing daily. These exercises are a new too me and i very much enjoyed doing these.I needed something new as because i my body has grown accustomed to my current routine. These felt amazing and i could hear and feel my bodies response immediately.Thank you for this post.It is a daily part of my warm up now and i will research your work further now for more of this valuable information and again many thanks to you.
Thank you very much for watching, I'm happy to share! As you explore and questions arise don't hesitate to reach out - you can connect with me on FB, IG, and through my website. I'm always happy to talk about movement and it's potential to better our human experience.
Love the routine, noticing the similarities between your fantastic whole body transitional movement and the teaching I offer in my special needs classes. Thank you for the inspiration. Helping the brain and body to learn to process the transition from one posture to another for safe movement.
Thank God for this video. I have a lot of arthritis in my entire spine and my hips the thoracic the neck and this is really amazing to get me moving in the morning but it’s not too difficult at the same time
This routine is fantastic. Completely new to this workout style, so this routine was a great introduction to developing skills like mobility and balance-while exploring how one's body can move and having some fun! Thanks for taking the time to create this.
Thank You Calen, for this ground work for lower body and the outdoor workout for the upper body i recently discovered a month ago. I see a lot of practical applications from your workouts in surfing and self defense. Your voice is also very calming and soothing as well as a coach. Thank You, and Hafa Adai, from Guam !
",movement nutrition' -- yes! perfect for a 'rest' day from repetitive hiit workouts, and to get back into healthy primal movement patterns... thank you, your video was grounding and life-giving! and your guided instruction spot on
I wanted to thank you for this practice :) I had really nasty problems with the lower back during the last week when lieing down or sitting due to muscular imbalances in the hip region. After doing the practice this morning, the pain is gone and i am able to go through the day without any restrictions :)
Thanks so much for sharing your experience. Glad the video helped and there's plenty more here on my channel and more resources on my website. Keep on moving!
18/5/24 I broke down the sequence in bits to do every morning before cycling to work. The tripod stand, balance sit and rock-ups are some of my favorite. Prone crawling needs a lot of core strength & also working on That as well. Namaste 🙏🏾
Cool, thank you very much. The popular belief (in fitness and life) seems to be that we need to be machines, we need to be constantly pushing hard, we need to impose suffering on ourselves. I really hope to challenge those beliefs and in favor of bringing about more balance.
You might be new but you get the idea - that's awesome! Slow becomes smooth, smooth becomes fast. It's all driven by mindfulness and that mindfulness overflows to the rest of life. keep up the practice!
So grateful to have found this. What an absolute blast & thrill this was to do. I'm so eager to explore your channel & do them all! Thank you for making this.
Thank you. I occasionally practice yoga and have been influenced by the discipline. My main area of expertise is natural movement / MovNat. This is just me sharing how I practice movement and throwing in some commentary on what it means to me. Whenever possible I like to remove the unnecessary labels and dogma. People can take away whatever they want from these videos, for me it's simply a way to take care of my body and keep growing as a person.
I love hearing that because it's very similar to my experience when natural movement came onto my radar. Like damn! this feels amazing - why aren't more people doing this? Why aren't trainers taught this stuff? Well I'm trying to do my part now in sharing it. Thanks very much for watching and best wishes in your practice!
This was my first video I saw at your channel about 2 years ago and still is one of my favourites. Your thoughs and dynamic exercise practice are interesting and fun to do. Really love how same movements grow in difficulty with every round creating space to get to know the movement and keep it interesting by make it more and more challangening. Keep up the good work. Love from Lithuania :)
Awesome workout. I've come back to this so many times and feel mobile and energised after doing it. Perfect morning practice! Keep sharing- you are doing some amazing work.
I would love to see more ground based movement secuences, or a video explaining basic motions that develop into other movements later on, I really enjoyed this one and the 10 minute practice both have helped me improve a lot, thanks for all your effort, ive been trying to get into this movement practice for a while and you have given me a great starting point ...!!!

You are my hero.
Go Granny Go! Your the best!
Good for you, I hope there is a way to share your enthusiasm with people in your age bracket. Love and support from Canada.
Holy Moly, I am half of your age and struggle with most of the excercices! But I like them a lot, way more interesting and grounding than yoga.
You go Dee

Much appreciated, thank you🙏🏽

Thank you! I have been doing one of your mobility classes everyday for a few months and the resulting agility and energy is awesome.

Woah so fun! I searched "30 minute movement" and found something delightful! Thank you :)
Awesome! Welcome to my weird world of movement. Visit anytime! ✨🙏🏾

Haha that's awesome. Thank you for watching! I hope you keep practicing and keep us posted on your progress.
Natasha D I thought the SAME THING!! 😂
I did this workout instead of my usual yoga practice this morning. I loved it. As adults, we usually don't give ourselves the opportunity to play when we exercise. This was a refreshing change to how I will approach exercise. Thank you
Yes! In my experience, it's a simple shift that can lead to HUGE positive changes. Best wishes.
Excellent for me. 61 yrs. old.
Practied kick boxing since the 80's.

How cool was this!! I forgot about it. Love it thank you !
These are amazing-
And U do an amazing job narrating (great soothing voice, reminds me of my yoga practice).

And also helping to develop a capacity to translate movements from less complex to more complex environments. Thank you for watching and commenting!
I have lupus, and my joints are protesting my old workouts--explosive martial arts and kickboxing. This looks like what I need.
Thank God for this video. I have a lot of arthritis in my entire spine and my hips the thoracic the neck and this is really amazing to get me moving in the morning but it’s not too difficult at the same time
That was brilliant. Thank you.
Fantastic!
Excellent description on what you should be feeling in your body.

Very nice, I really like how you put that 🤍😌 Come flow in some of my newer videos. Cheers!

I like your philosophy. It seems that you are teaching YOGA, you mention breathing and awareness.
Thank you. I occasionally practice yoga and have been influenced by the discipline. My main area of expertise is natural movement / MovNat. Awesome video! exactly what I was looking for. thanks
Beautiful practice, thank you.
Perfect complement for Yoga!
