For a simpler way, I've always printed my photos onto vellum paper with my ink jet printer. Then I use spray adhesive to attach to the inside of the lantern.

Is the sunflower oil necessary? And fir the picture does it go outside the glass or inside?

Mod podge instead of sunflower oil, maybe. Could you please tell us the reason you used the oil. Thank you
